  • "This is the second time we have stayed at The Byre and definitely won't be the last."

The whole experience is so comfortable and peaceful with everything you could wish for within reach. The piggies have grown a bit but then they are a year older! They still came running towards us with squeals of glee which sets the day off with a big smile. The people on the farm are really friendly, nothing is too much trouble, it's such a pleasure to stay here. Perfect for Sasha, my German Shepherd, lots of interesting and fun walks and beaches to visit. If the weather prohibits beach visits, the large garden and farm tracks are so handy. We highly recommend The Farmers Arms. Amazing Sunday roast with a special bowl of lamb, beef and turkey for Sasha which was a huge winner for both her and me! Thank you so much for having us.

Thank you so much for your wonderfully kind review Julie! It means the world to us. We are thrilled you all enjoyed your second stay with us. The piggies especially enjoyed their morning rich tea biscuits! Thank you for choosing Sealands and we hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, the whole Sealands team. Property Owner

All the extra touches like dog treats, mats and tags with phone number show this is a very friendly place for dog owners. Great coastal walks on the doorstep without having to take the car. We had a great relaxing & comfortable week with the dogs. Such a lovely big garden for the dogs to run around, while we had a very much needed soak in the lovely hot tub after a day of exploring! The beds are so comfortable for a good night's sleep ready for the next day out & about. Some lovely places to visit near by & plenty of dog friendly places to eat. Would definitely recommend any of the lovely barn conversions owned by Emma & David. Hope to see you again soon xx

Only slight downside was that we had no internet access or WiFi in the property all week. Probably due to the weather affecting it (very rural area). It was a nice digital detox though!

Hi Lucy, thank you so much for your feedback and we are sorry about the internet (the weather certainly didn't help!). • "This was a fabulous find!"

The property (The Byre) was gorgeous, incredibly comfortable and very spacious; the owners had thought of everything. This is, by far, one of the best places we have ever stayed. The garden was perfect for my German Shepherd and the place was situated within reach of so many lovely places to go, particularly with a dog. In particular, we loved Dunraven Castle and Beach. The Farmers Arms (Turkish Mezze) served amazing food - we just wished we had visited it earlier in our holiday so we could have gone back and tried other things on the menu. It was lovely to meet Emma; she and her husband David are an inspiration and have created a wonderful space! Oh - and you have to stop by the Kune Kune piggies, they are bundles of fun (although they are fast becoming "teenagers")!!! Thank you so much for having us.

Everything we needed! Emma and David have created a lovely set of 3 cottages on their working farm that would be ideal for an extended-family break/holiday! For keen walkers the cottages are a very short walk from the South Wales coastal path, a short walk/drive to lots of beautiful villages/resorts and ideally situated near Bridgend - half-way between Cardiff and Swansea. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and 1 week just wasn't enough to visit all the places we wanted to see - we will need to visit again! Looking forward to it! :)
