  • "This quirky cottage very quickly felt like home."

Tony the owner is a lovely chap, and made us feel very welcome. Like others have said, Tony was able to tell us about the history of the intriguing house and the town and useful local info which was great. This is a great base for seeing some of amazing south Wales. A great place for dog walking. With the local green, beach, dunes and sea front. We've so much more to discover, we must go back! Thanks again Tony we had a lovely stay!

  • "Cobweb Corner – a great name for a really great little holiday cottage!"

! Nestled right in the heart of Newton village we spent 5 lovely days in this warm cosy cottage that was full of character and ‘olde-worlde’ charm. Tony made us feel really welcome when we arrived, gave us all the information we needed, showed us round, and was on hand just next door if we wanted anything. The bed was really comfy, nice bathroom, cosy lounge, seating indoors and out, and very tidy, just what we wanted. Location is incredible, only 2 minutes’ walk to the village green, church, pub, and places of interest, and 5 minutes from the wonderful beach. Tony shared all his local knowledge, gave fantastic insights into the 400-year history of the cottage, and added some thoughtful little touches to our stay. Great holiday, thanks Tony From Paul, Jackie & Cokie the pug.

  • "Tony is helpful and informative."

Nothing is too much trouble for him. The house is quirky, well equipped, comfortable, warm and inviting. Our dogs loved the location, walks and beaches with a pub or 2 on the way, we loved its position due to easiness of shopping and eateries. Generally a gem.

  • "It is a quirky cottage in a great location."

Easy walking to many facilities, Globe serves very good meals/ Look out for One-un a community cafe just round the corner, well worth a visit. Stroll down to beach and enjoy the waves.

  • "Tony met us on arrival and talked us through the history of this beautiful and quirky cottage, a really lovely touch."

The space had just been renovated and was everything we could have hoped for. I loved the scalextrix and the kitchen and sofa was more than we could have hoped for given the weather. Situated in a brilliant spot for the beach, which the dog loved, and shops close by. Our first visit to Porthcawl, won't be our last and we will definitely use the cottage and Tony for our next visit. Thank you for making our pist Xmas break a real treat
