The property

The Bird House is a relaxing space in a woodland setting only 1.5 miles from the picturesque village of Cenarth.

Take advantage of two outside seating areas on the veranda, enjoy a cup of coffee in the early morning sat under cover and listen to the bird songs and as the sun sets move around into the open and enjoy al fresco dining (or BBQ) and savour a glass of wine.

Cenarth is a delightful riverside village, famous for its magnificent cascading waterfalls, pools and a well-known salmon leap.

Why not head off to explore the bustling market town of nearby Newcastle Emlyn with its 13th century Norman castle ruins also a selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and antique shops.

Enjoy a day trip to the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay, visit National Trust Mwnt, with its iconic white chapel, take a stroll through the Welsh Wildlife Centre or the cliff edge Castle in Cilgerran or even explore the stunning Preselli Hills, source of the famous blue stones of Stone Henge.

Aberaeron is a short drive away with its harbour and well known picturesque multi coloured houses, award winning restaurant and artisan shops.

A wonderful location to explore enchanting woodland walks in the nearby valleys, admire the rugged coastline and sandy beaches of the area, The Bird House is a relaxing space in a picturesque setting.

There are beaches at Cardigan Bay, Poppit Sands, Mwnt and Penbryn not to mention New Quay where you can take a boat ride to observe the many Bottle nose dolphins.

Penlan has a heated swimming pool, (due to open 2nd week in June) a coffee lounge, a bar offering bottled drinks and simple bar food for 3 evenings a week ( from late May) a dog walking area, children’s play area.

There is a small shared laundry.

At The Birdhouse you are within easy driving distance of Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Oakwood Adventure Park and the tourist hotspot Tenby.

Take a short drive to The Cliff Hotel and Spa where you can enjoy delicious food, Carvery on Sundays, whilst looking out over Cardigan Bay.

CENARTH

Cardigan 7.5 miles; New Quay 18 miles.

The village of Cenarth is located on the River Teifi, with its picturesque water falls where you can enjoy peaceful walks and sometimes catch sight of the local fishermen out on the river in their coracles. Visit the Coracle Museum, tea rooms, gift shops or pubs to complete your delightful day out. The coastal town of New Quay is close by where you can book a local boat trip to go dolphin spotting. Alternatively, visit The Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran where you may see badgers, otters, buzzards and even deer, or why not explore Cilgerran Castle? With local mills, craft centres, potteries, cheese making and much more you will be spoilt for choice in this part of Wales.
