  • "We had an amazing 6 night stay at Valley View Hideaway."

The privacy and tranquility of the location is truly special and the long periods of complete silence was just what we needed to reset. The private decking with the hot tub overlooking the field is stunning and the perfect place to hang out in the summer breeze away from direct sunlight.our dog absolutely loved the secure garden and we had no concerns at all about him escaping which was another mental load taken care of for us. We also brought our Galah Cockatoo with us who really enjoyed hanging out with us in his travel cage in the garden in the sun or on the decking where he could feel the wind. The stay came in the middle of the June heatwave and unfortunately the fan provided at the property does not work very well. Daf the owner very kindly brought us a an evaporation fan. We had to rush out to tesco and grab some ice packs and ice to cool the water inside the unit down but unfortunately due to the heat it was quite short lived. The ground floor is extremely well ventilated with 3 velux windows that catch the cross breeze and the patio doors can be left open with no insects finding their way in due to the porch covering the doors by 8ft. However in summer the top floor living room, whilst gorgeous, is practically unusable. The view from up there is spectacular but there is absolutely zero ventilation which seems like a huge design flaw given it is the tip of the triangle construction meaning all of the hot air rises and has absolutely nowhere to go. There are no curtains for the stunning large window to block the heat and as it is south facing it gets pure beams of sun all day through the windows creating its own microclimate which you notice immediately upon climbing the stairs. Fortunately for the two of us this wasn't really an issue, we mostly utilized the beautiful decking at the front of the house as a living area instead, but for a small family with kids who want to watch TV it could be a deal breaker if the weather is forecast to be 25+. The property and especially the carpets are in immaculate condition and it was very clean when we got there. We were welcomed with a Welsh tea cake loaf, a pint of milk and a whole pack of butter. The hosts also had salt, tinfoil, washing up liquid, multiple sponges, a whole cupboard of cleaners and bug sprays which weren't needed, tea, sugar, plenty of toilet roll. We didn't have to run to the shops for anything critical the entire time which was great. Overall this has been one of our favorite stays in the UK. The setting was incredible as were the facilities and we would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a proper reset with the highest level of privacy. The host is incredibly generous and responsive. If the living space had ventilation it would honestly be a 10/10 stay.

  • "Beautiful cottage with stunning views of the local countryside."

Real back to nature - we saw numerous red kites soaring over the fields. Very peaceful and relaxing - perfect for our overdue break. Hot tub a definite bonus. Lovely welcome pack and very helpful owners. Great base for exploring this wonderful part of Wales.

  • "Had a much needed holiday here last week."

The property is in a great location- very private and secluded but within easy distance of shops, beautiful beaches pubs etc definitely recommend booking Sunday lunch at the daffodil. The beds and sofas were super comfy and it has a great hot shower. You can watch the sunset from the sofa upstairs which is amazing. Great outdoor space for kids/ dogs. We were a little disappointed with the value for money given a few issues with cleanliness and maintenance of the property. We had an issue on the first night and owners were very helpful to resolve this. Its an idilic property just needs a little TLC

  • "Very spacious and modern property the bedrooms, kitchen / diner and bathroom all fantastic."

Amazing views from all sides of the property. We loved the upstairs living space but it was way too hot even in the evenings with a fan on full The hot tub was great but was hard to keep warm as it seemed to default back to 30’c and took most of the day to get warm, not sure if this was a fault. Other than that a great stay for a family of 4

Our Sausage Dog made really good friends with one of your calves. I've never seen a dog kiss a cow's face and I doubt I'll ever see that again so I think so it was special! We even have it recorded for memory. Beds were super comfy. The hot tub was lovely and warm. The views were wonderful. Thank you!

  • "Overall a lovely lodge very cosy with amazing views."

Peaceful & tranquil and very private for sure. Beds very comfortable. Could have done with a small wardrobe as unable to empty suitcase. Hot tub wasn’t very hot and no heating or hot water when we arrived. In saying that issues were addressed promptly & resolved. Could of done with a table of some sort upstairs in living room just so we could have played a few games in comfort. The decking area could have done with a sweep there was rubbish under the chairs when I move one to sit in the sun. Most annoying was a huge cobweb above the door on the feature windows it was very off putting gave the impression it wasn’t cleaned very well but infact despite that the lodge was lovely and we would stay again. Lots to do places to eat in surrounding areas. Loads of beaches.

  • "This is a beautiful holiday cottage."

The beds are extremely comfortable. The views are stunning. The hot tub adds an extra bit of luxury. If you like to cook while away the kitchen is lacking in a few cooking items. The lounge upstairs has wonderful views, although in the hot weather is extremely hot, although there is a fan we found the bedroom hot too so ended up taking it up and down the stairs, 2 fans would help or blinds to shut the sun out. We had a really relaxing week here, so wonderfully peaceful. Would definitely come back.

  • "Great location & dog security, however, nowhere to hang a thing, not coats or clothes from suitcase in the twin room, 3 bedside drawers only, so our clothes were in suitcase on floor all week, and again with wet towels from beach to dry, no clothes line?"

Kitchen basic, no grill pan, only 4 of knives, forks, plates, dishes etc, no wine or pint glasses? No way to top hot tub up, but apart from this great stay.. beds were super comfy.. iron these out and it’s a cracking place!

Thank you for your feedback, we hope you enjoyed your stay. We don’t allow self topping up of the hot tub as we monitor the chemical input to the maximum water level. Property Owner
