  • "The cottage was all we'd hoped for and more!"

Comfortable, cosy and warm; very clean and well maintained- the owners had thought of everything, including a small laundry in a separate room attached to the end of the building. The single bedroom is very nice, with an extra space at the end with an armchair, so it's like a little sitting room (nice in the night if you're a poor sleeper). The welcome boxes included mini shampoo etc, which was useful. The owner helped out when we had a problem, which was kind. There is a courtyard outside the cottage with lots of plants and some seating. It was good to be near the main road- quiet at night, but handy for getting going on each day trip. We're looking forward to coming again!

  • "As we appreciated beforehand, the cottage is quite small, as described in the listing, but it was very comfortable and well equipped."

It suited us extremely well. Also the owners of the cottage were welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. On one occasion, when someone drove into our car in St David's they were invaluable in identifying some local resources that we were able to use in order to continue our holiday and keep in our own car.

Only point to raise , there was no pod coffee machine, perhaps the listing needs updating. Thanks for the fantastic welcome folder, we used this to have a wonderful holiday. Thank you

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Eynons Cottage."

We had a lovely plate of Welsh Cakes waiting for us on arrival and a pint of milk in the fridge. There was also a very helpful Welcome folder giving recommendations on walks, local beaches and restaurants. The cottage felt homely and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It is at a great location for everything we wanted to do, including visiting Skomer Island to see the puffins. We would highly recommend.

  • "The area is spectacular and we enjoyed our holiday very much."

One point which needs attention, the write up says ‘shop one minute’. After a long journey we expected to be able to buy basics - milk, bread etc, however the shop was no longer in business, closed behind wire barriers. The other point, the second bedroom smelled very damp and the clothes we left in there smelled very musty. Luckily we were not sleeping in that room. Otherwise the cottage was fine with everything we needed.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed the spectacular local area. The village shop sadly closed abruptly and without notice and we are sorry to hear that this caused you a problem. We are hopeful that it may soon reopen under new ownership, but in the meantime we are alerting visitors of this change in our pre-arrival note. We have checked the bedroom carefully and there is no evidence of damp - but the wardrobe had not been used for a couple of months and we have now aired it thoroughly. Property Owner

  • "Very clean and adequate facilities."

However would have expected toilet roll and soap to be placed out rather than having to stand in bath to reach box on shelf with items in. Welcome milk and cake was a nice touch though

Thank you for feedback. We do provide a generous welcome pack to help guests enjoy their stay. We leave this is in a box to help guests find what they might need and also because we are then able to just replace what has been used. We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty reaching this and will move to a more accessible location for future guests Property Owner
