  • "Very beautiful property with everything and more for a lovely family stay."

The bedrooms are spacious and having two on suite bathrooms upstairs and a large wet room set up for disabled visitors as well as an ‘electric’ adjustable bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms was a complete surprise and an absolute bonus! Lots of places within 1/2 hour to visit that will interest all ages. We all hope to return in the future.

So glad the property suited your party's needs and you had a good holiday. Hope to host you in future. Regards Leonie Property Owner

Ideally placed for touring around Pembrokeshires highlights of which there are many. Great pub directly across the road. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Plenty of room for our party of 8 adults and 2 medium sized dogs! We will be returning next year!!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to hosting you again. Regards Leonie. Property Owner

  • "This is an excellent place, we all enjoyed our stay here, it was clean and really comfortable with plenty of both indoor and outdoor space for our party."

It provided a great base for seeing Pembrokeshire, and the pub across the road a good place for food at the end of a day out. We also received superb support from the hosts, when having to ask one quick question they couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely return.

Glad things went well for your holiday. We do try our best to resolve any problems during our guests stay. Regards Leonie. Property Owner

  • "Very spacious."

More than enough seating and equipment for all the visitors. Five adults (and the children), struggled to find any fault with the property. Location very good for the whole of Pembrokeshire but not ideal for any one of the main tourist attractions. Property exceeded our expectations in nearly every regard and was very quiet despite being opposite a pub, which we would also recommend for eating out.

We were a mix of adults and children and we all loved it. Truly comfortable beds and plentiful bathrooms. Very clean on arrival. Host Leanne was really helpful and responsive.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and our new cleaning firm is keeping the house up to the standard I expect. Hope to host you again. Happy new year. Lee Property Owner

  • "Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the old school house was big enough for all of us and was by far the best equipped house we have stayed in."

The beds were comfy and so many bathrooms. The only criticism I have is that it needs a really good clean. It had not been done prior to our arrival as there was thick dust and cobwebs in the living room hadn’t been hoovered upstairs. With that being said it would not put me off booking again.

  • "Lovely property - comfortable and very well equipped."

Exactly as described online when booking - the huge lounge, kitchen, diner is a beautiful room, bedrooms are very comfortable and the enclosed garden was private and safe for our dog. The pub opposite had a good selection of evening meals when we didn’t feel like cooking.

  • "The only adverse aspect were the notifications from the owner days before we left and also in the folder in the property."

I just think if it’s dog friendly don’t then days before the holiday begins a notification telling you it is the owners generosity to allow dogs and warnings about fines etc. sets the wrong tone. We would not have booked that accommodation if it didn’t allow dogs. I accept that dog owners have to clean up after the dogs. I just found the tone of the wording raised my hackles somewhat. The accommodation and everything else was outstanding.

  • "The School House is excellent."

Lovely enclosed garden, adjacent to playground and playing field. Across the road from a lovely village pub. The house is kept to an excellent standard, the space is well utilized, lots of it. We really liked the seperate area for the bedrooms away from the living area, and having the mezzanine floor gave the kids their own space. Great kitchen, containing everything you could need, seperate utility and laundry room. Location is great, we visited 6 different beaches, all within 30 minutes of the house. The pub across the road is friendly, not noisy and very kind. Our 3 children (5,8,9) ate there alone for tea one evening. The staff were superb.

We all gasped when we walked into the main room, stunning. All rooms were lovely and clean. Thankyou to cleaners for the care taken in sanitising everything, we felt safe and secure. Everything you could think of was provided, dishwasher tablets, soap powder, hand wash by every sink. Great. Super garden where you could relax. We had rhubarb from the garden one evening. Pub directly across the road served a good Sunday lunch.

Leading up to our stay I had emails to let me know directions and how to get into the cottage, I also had a call from the owner to give me more information. Once we arrived the cottage was perfect, it had everything you could ask for catering for everyone of all ages. The cottage was spotless, and even had a bottle of champagne and chocolates as a welcome, lovely touch. It is a very well maintained property and of a high standard I would recommend to anyone. Also the Pump on the Green pub across the road were very welcoming and serve excellent food,we had a very good night there on New year's eve, excellent.

Superbly kept property and garden which was quite delightful and so well maintained. The proportions of the living space were such that 8 adults, one 18 month old boy and a large dog never made us feel cramped in the slightest. We would say that the cottage is exceptional.

Extremely well equipped if you were fully self catering.Pub over the road very welcoming to humans and dogs. A few minor criticisms, beds not very comfy, we had lovely weather and could really have done with a sunshade over the outside table. Could not find anywhere close to walk dogs in the morning before we went out for the day. Found the rubbish explanation confusing, the black bin was full when we arrived, but no one else had put their bins out on the week we stayed?

  • "The School House was amazing, you couldn’t fault the facilities or the location."

It was so well equipped & so comfortable with the added benefit of the most amazingly friendly pub, The Pump On The Green, opposite!! We had our elderly parents with us & the house was perfect for them. The only comment we would make is, perhaps it would be preferable to list the house as not accepting dogs. We had my sisters dog with us & I completely understand the dog policy in place but I know she felt on edge worrying about having to watch his every move in the garden!!!! It didn’t make the house any less amazing or comfortable but maybe it should be a consideration? Overall, it was a fabulous week, thank you Sykes & thank you Leonie

A building full of character, retaining many original features . It has been converted and restored in a very sympathetic way using good quality materials.
