  • "We have stayed at several different lodges on this site over the years and always been happy, but when we arrived at this property the smell was overwhelming, the carpets, bedding, towels & curtains all had a bad smell."

When going to bed the 1st night we pulled Back the sheets and there was a big snob or something on top on the fitted sheet we slept on top of the sheets for the duration of the stay not knowing how clean it was , I just feel like with a good clean it would be a lovely lodge to stay in, I could see a lot of good reviews about this lodge so Mabey we where just unlucky for new year.

We were sorry to read your review regarding your stay at Seacroft. We were upset to read of the issues that you had raised as when we spoke to you on the second day of your stay to check all was going well, you were having a lovely time and all was fine with the lodge. We do leave contact details for all our guests to contact us regarding the slightest query, if you had done so we could have arranged for the house keeper to attend and help resolve the problems. Both ourselves and our housekeeper pride ourselves on the standard that Seacroft is made ready for our guests and we strive hard to maintain this. As you will see from all our previous reviews we have always received full marks for cleanliness, we did note that after your departure all bed linen and towels had been fully used during your stay. As soon as I read the review I requested the housekeeper attend the property to rectify any issues and they confirmed that all is well and could not find any fault with Seacroft. Property Owner

About the location

KILGETTY

Cresswell Quay 2.4 miles; Saundersfoot 3 miles; Yerbeston 3.9 miles; Tenby 5 miles.

The rural village of Kilgetty is situated 2.4 miles from one of the most picturesque villages in Pembrokeshire, Cresswell Quay is best described as a delightful hamlet of scattered cottages at the edge of the tidal estuary. The central focal point is, of course, the old quay where boats can still moor, for the time the tide allows, and you may wish to pop into the Cresselly Arms for light refreshments. Just a short drive from the town of Tenby and offers a selection of shops and pubs, along with its own train station. Kilgetty is central to a number of attractions, with the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby nearby, offering fabulous beaches, watersports and boat trips to Caldey Island, the home of a small gathering of monks and their monastery. Also nearby is the award winning Folly Farm, which makes for a great family day out and enables you to see a working farm at its best. Oakwood Theme Park is a 10 minute drive away and boasts the biggest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, whilst the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline and the coastal National Park, a walker's paradise, are also within easy reach.
