  • "Fantastic, stylish accommodation with some unique pieces of art and personal touches!"

The fixtures and fittings are top quality, from the beds, linen and towels to the kitchen, furniture and outdoor seating. To have 3 ensuite bedrooms was an absolute dream and all with showers … so no queue for the bathroom! The property is centrally located, but amazingly so very quiet and plenty of on street parking directly outside. Communication with the owners was clear and helpful - the extra information sheet on the area was really helpful and a lovely touch as was the welcome pack … very well received thank you. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this fabulous home … 5 stars for sure.

Thank you Neil, so happy you had a lovely break. Look forward to welcoming you back xx val Property Owner

  • "Lovely house but one shower not working as it should & this seemed to be a surprise to Best of Suffolk but we’d have thought that would have been evident when cleaning."

apparently maintenance came into the house to fix whilst we were out. Failed to fix & didn’t let us know that they had tried. Owner got in touch & helped us resolve ourselves but a temporary fix so still needs sorting. All seating very low & not very comfortable particularly for older person. Ground floor bedroom ideal for an older person so incompatible. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Better explanation of tv operation would have been helpful & some scissors in the kitchen.

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to confirm that the shower at 37 Stradbroke Road has since been repaired, the owner has stocked up the kitchen and a TV specialist has resolved the issue with the television ariel, so it is straightforward to operate. We are delighted to know that overall you enjoyed your time at 37 Stradbroke Road, and hope that with these reassurances of repairs that we can welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "A beautiful house but our stay was marred by two things."

    1) The TV is awful, I'm an IT manager and managed to get BBC up and running but anybody else would struggle. A property as nice as this should have Freeview on tap without any of the associated problems with the current system. Also - asking people to unplug the TV and plug it back in again is ridiculous. As a family group we would have liked to sit down in the evening and watch whatever channel we wanted. This was not possible and caused much dark muttering. 2) In the evening with the nights drawing in we all congregated in the back lounge after we had our meal (there was no TV to watch after all!) and our wives felt very exposed as the rear patio doors had no blinds. I appreciate many people would not be bothered about this but an option to close a blind and shut the dark night out would have been welcomed. The property itself was as nice as we hoped, comfortable beds and great showers and perfectly located for exploring Southwold and apart from the TV couldn't be faulted.

Thank you for providing your feedback, we are very sorry that you had difficulty with the TV, we do not advertise as having Freeview, rather a smart TV with streaming apps and live TV is only available via appropriate apps so we apologise for any disappointment caused. We are looking in to installing an aerial to allow for terrestrial channels in the near future. We are delighted that you enjoyed the property and do hope to welcome you back in the future. • "We loved no37."

What a great job the owners have done. Very stylish, all mod cons. Loved the art and the books. Couple of thoughts - not really negatives. The garden needs a bit of attention. Hedge needs cutting, patio needs weeding. A couple of deckchairs and a patio umbrella would have been most welcome. As things stand, it's very hard to to sit out when the sun is shining... Best Mike

  • "Absolutely lovely house!"

Very high quality linen, kitchen equipment, and layout. We loved the artwork too and the property ticked our three most important 'wants.' Comfy bed, good powerful shower, comfy sofas! 10/10 and would definitely come back.

So glad you enjoyed your visit! Look forward to hosting you again soon. Val Property Owner
