  • "It wasn't very enjoyable because everything was damp."

When it wasn't raining we opened the windows and put the heating on with little effect.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that the damp weather during your stay affected your enjoyment of the property. The property does have heating in place to help maintain a warm and comfortable environment, but we understand that in especially damp conditions it may not always feel as effective as expected, particularly if windows are opened at the same time. We will be reviewing this to see if there are any additional measures we can put in place to further improve comfort for our guests. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and your comments will help us continue to make improvements going forward. Property Owner

  • "The boathouse is a comfortable caravan with nice view couple of points it does say washing machine it's on the complex only also accessing the caravan can be awkward as mentioned in holiday details also a couple of cleaning issues also the park itself is very hilly ."

Nice touches by the host leaving us a welcome pack and your just 15 minutes from beach just a tip if going to hastings park at St leonards and walk it's a 30 minute walk and no issues with parking .

Thank you for your thoughtful review, we’re really pleased to hear you found the Boathouse comfortable and enjoyed the views, as well as the welcome pack on arrival. We appreciate you taking the time to highlight a few points for future guests. We aim to be as clear as possible in the property details, including noting that the washing machine is located on the wider complex, and that access to the caravan and the naturally hilly nature of the park may not be suitable for everyone. It’s helpful to know where this could be communicated even more clearly. We’re sorry to hear there were a couple of cleaning issues during your stay; this is certainly not the standard we strive for, and we will be addressing this with our housekeeping team to ensure improvements are made. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the location, with easy access to the beach and nearby areas such as St Leonards and Hastings – and thank you as well for sharing your helpful tips for future guests. We do hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

  • "The approach to the property is loose and wobbly paving stones."

Inside the property the furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable, the plug in the bath does not engage so we couldn't bath our 3yr old however the biggest issue is the smell and feel of damp as its present throughout the caravan, as an asthma sufferer I found it really difficult to breathe on an evening. For the money we paid we expected a greater level of overall comfort, and we wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay. I’m sorry to hear that aspects of your visit did not meet your expectations. Guest comfort is very important to me, so I appreciate you bringing these points to my attention. The property is set within a woodland park environment, and while I do my best to ensure everything within the accommodation is well maintained, some external areas are managed by the park itself. That said, I will certainly pass on your comments regarding the approach to the property. In terms of the bath plug, I’m sorry this wasn’t brought to my attention during your stay, as I would have arranged for it to be looked at promptly. This has since been resolved. I was also concerned to read your comments about damp, as this has not been reported by previous guests or experienced during my own time at the property. However, I take feedback like this seriously and will be carrying out further checks to ensure everything remains at a high standard for future stays. The property is furnished in keeping with its style and setting, but I do appreciate that comfort is subjective and can vary from guest to guest. Thank you again for your feedback, it is always helpful in ensuring the best possible experience for future visitors. Property Owner

Sidewalk should be widened to accommodate suitcases on wheels Bathtub drain didn’t work Could not redirect water from shower head to tub fill Blinds were Broken But still enjoyed stay

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re really pleased to hear that you still enjoyed your stay overall. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your visit. While the width of the pathway is unfortunately outside of our control, we appreciate your feedback as it may be helpful for future guests when planning their arrival, and I can feed this back to the park. We regret that the bath and shower controls, along with the drain, were not working as expected during your stay. This has since been addressed, and the necessary repairs have been carried out to ensure everything is functioning properly. With regards to the blinds, these have also been checked following your comments, and maintenance has been carried out where required. • "Path to access was uneven, hazard for the infirm or children."

Could not get the oven to temperature. A safety mat in the bath would be an improvement. Thankyou for wine and snacks.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the welcome wine and snacks. We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay were not as comfortable as they should have been. We appreciate your comments regarding the access path and understand how an uneven surface may be a concern, particularly for those with limited mobility or young children. This is being reviewed to see what improvements can be made, and relevant comments have been fed back to the park. We’re also sorry to hear that the oven did not appear to be reaching temperature during your stay. This has since been checked to ensure it is working as expected for future guests. Thank you as well for your suggestion regarding a bath mat, this is a helpful recommendation and something we will take into consideration to further enhance guest comfort and safety. • "We enjoyed our stay in St Leonards, but the 2 armchairs were broken one more than the other, having a pillow stuffed inside."

The slabs to the entrance were coming loose. The coffee table was broken and very unstable. The kitchen wasn't clean at all with food still on the cooker and behind the taps, so we looked at the cutlery and plates and glasses etc, we had to wash them before we could use them. The bathroom wasn't clean around the shower and toilet and the en-suit wasn't clean either, pubic hairs around the rim of the toilet, the mirror was dirty too. It was such a shame because we enjoyed a very well needed break away but it really didn't look like any cleaners had been in, sorry On a good note we had a lovely carvery at the Harrow inn absolutely lovely, best cauliflower cheese I've ever tasted.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re pleased to hear that you were still able to enjoy your stay overall and your visit to the local area. We’re very sorry to hear that some aspects of the property did not meet expectations on this occasion. Your comments regarding the furnishings, cleanliness, and maintenance have been carefully reviewed, and we sincerely regret the impact this had on your experience. Following your stay, these areas have been addressed, with attention given to repairs, replacements, and reinforcing our housekeeping checks to help ensure a more consistent standard moving forward.
