This was our third visit and we are already booked to come back next year. We always feel so relaxed during our stay, the accommodation has everything we need and is a perfect size for our family of four. Denise is also great, the apartment is always clean and it’s nice to know she is contactable should we need anything.

  • "Overall great stay!"

Perfect central location! Was concerned when I saw it was on a high street but you can not even tell no noise or anything which makes it great, busy at front paradise at the back with the view! Few niggly bits is that we stayed August 4-11th and had no idea board masters festival was on, so this made the already extremely difficult parking even worse, as they close the car parks! I think maybe in off peak months you would manage but after speaking to locals, parking in general in August is difficult and I feel there could be more info on the listing about events and also parking tips I.e using the Asda permit option / renting a drive which we found out about after 3 days of speaking to multiple local shop owners! It’s a shame a permit can’t be offered within the price of the property! In terms of the property we just felt it was ready for a deep clean, not a major issue but for the cost, that made it a 4 star review not a 5 for me, all reed diffuses empty, behind sofas not been touched for a very long time, dust inside wardrobes and on the fans ect and the carpets are well overdue a clean. Like I say it wasn’t bad but it would be expected for me at the price. But would I stay again! Absolutely!

  • "Lovely apartment with breathtaking views, the housekeeper Denise couldn't have been more helpful."

Kitchen is equipped with everything you might need (we didn't cook there, so we didn't, but it was exceptionally well equipped), beds are comfy and well looked after. Two things that we'd like to mention: To us, it was not clear that the twin bedroom doesn't have any windows! Which means you can't get any fresh air in. The WLAN is basically non existent and keeps dropping. These two things did in no way spoil our stay, but might for others, especially the windowless bedroom. We will definitely use this as our base whenever we visit Cornwall!

So pleased that you enjoyed your holiday at Buena Vista! Thanks so much for the feedback, its extremely helpful for us to hear. We always try to implement any suggestions made, especially as we've never had any issues with our WIFI so I will contact the provider to see what the problem was. With regards to the second bedroom, we appreciate there is no direct outside access because of the layout of the flat. There is ventilation thanks to the extractor fan on the ceiling and natural daylight via the large window looking onto the lounge. We look forward to welcoming you back, Nuria & Eugenio Property Owner

Amazing views, lovely to hear the sea at night. Short walk to the beach and bars, a 1 minute walk to Aldi supermarket. We had a disabled person with us and this apartment was perfect, no stairs to climb, he could even leave the hired mobility scooter in the hallway safely. Denise the cleaner was very helpful and even left us a little treat in the fridge. Thank you.

  • "Excellent apartment with an amazing view from the balcony, the living room and the master bedroom."

Excellent bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms. Parking was easy in Albany Road car park and relatively easy to find a space outside the flat for loading (especially with a blue badge!). The second bedroom only has a window onto the lounge but this is fine. Some recycling facilities would be good.

. It’s absolutely out of this world, the views from the balcony are just something else too. Could not rate this place high enough, from booking this to getting there and leaving the whole experience went smoothly and the place definitely did not disappoint. Everything is on your doorstep, beaches, pubs and restaurants so you can just park up and that’s it for the week. Denise the housekeeper is an absolute diamond too, can’t do enough to make sure you get there okay and then making sure your settled once your in, she’s on hand for any questions if you don’t know something and is the loveliest person to talk to. Iv had so many friends asking where this place is as everyone thinks it’s stunning. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for such a perfect stay x

The only way i can sum up this accommodation is it was perfect in every way. The view from the master bedroom and living area is gorgeous and the location is brillant. I went with my husband and two kids and we were within walking distance to 4 beaches - Great Western, Fistral, Tolcarne and Towan, as well as the town centre and also some nice restaurants. Also very handy for supermarkets eg Aldi, Asda, Tesco Metro and Sainsbury. We met Denise (house keeping) on arrival who was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this accommodation and would consider no where else if we were to go back to Newquay.

  • "This holiday let is in a fabulous position."

On reading the reviews it was accurate in many ways. The view was spectacular, the fact that it was so quiet yet on a busy street was lovely. The facilities provided at the place were very good. There were even binoculars to watch the boats, which was great. However, the beds in the single bed room were a little lumpy, though the big bed in the main room was fine. The big issue was that the place was "grubby". This was despite notices in the place about Covid19 and our need to wipe surfaces etc. The reminded came by text at the end of the week about following Covid guidelines. No problem. But the accommodation basically needed a "deep clean". The sinks and loo were fine and clearly had been cleaned. But the 1st thing I noticed was the filthy bathroom mirror in the main bedroom en-suite. Then the thick layer of dust on the top of the headboard. There was a thick layer of dust on the cooker hood that you could write your name in, and although surfaces in the kitchen looked as though they were wiped, there were finger marks and smears over the doors and sides of the upper and lower cupboards. I feel there needs to be a proper maintenance schedule. I understand weeds grow quite quickly, but the many on the balcony seemed they'd been around for some time. And to enjoy the view, it's a shame to have to see past the mucky finger marks and grime on the windows. Surely a window cleaner could be available on changeover day? Also one of the glass plates on the balcony edge has dropped from it's fitting. It was such a shame as premium prices are being charged for this place, it was gorgeous in many ways, but we have never come across this lack of cleanliness in any accommodation we have stayed in previously.

Stunning overlooking the beach, we slept so well all week just with the french doors open listening to the waves! It’s like home from home! The kids loved it and the bedrooms were both lovely! Couldn’t fault it. We found parking 10 minutes away but it didn’t inconvenience us as we parked on Aldi when unpacking and packing and the walk to the car was nice so we found it a great way to start our day if we drove out for the day! Parking in central Newquay is always tricky so to have the property in such a good location was a bonus to not having to mess around finding parking daily. Worth every penny, we feel refreshed with our week’s stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Pros: views (10 out of 10), direct access to beach and loads of Newquay bars and restaurants, apartment size, super clean, no noise at night, comfortable beds, really good amenities inside with extras, great Comms with owners, easy access, closeness to train station and supermarkets. Cons: no real BBQ despite listing (suggest an outdoor electric smokeless one if neighbour issue), no designated parking - but managed to find free on street parking after search. Also, easy ones, shower mats need changing as slippery on tiles and some minor weeding on patio. Would use again and highly recommend, 9.5 out of 10. Need BBQ though.

Easy walking distance to Zoo, Beaches and Town centre. Apartment is comfortable with great sea view in any weather. Note: Property doesn't have microwave or sunshade on patio. Refuse collection day doesn't match changeover day, so had to move large amount of previous occupiers waste from cupboard to kerbside (this may be troublesome for weaker persons to do?).

"Thanks for your feedback, we have now put a microwave in the property, we really appreciate any suggestions to make your holiday even more comfortable. We wish to apologise that you found rubbish in the surf cupboard at the property. This was an oversight as our guests are never expected to have to remove rubbish themselves. Property Owner

Now don’t let those minor things put you off as this place was STUNNING! The view from the balcony is out of this world, I’m not one for sitting there and admiring views but I found myself daily just sitting there watching the sea and admiring the stunning views! You are local to a lot of things, shops, restaurants, amusements, beach etc which is ideal! The sofas are ideal for a nap and comfy as hell! Bed is also perfect and they have good pillows! Overall this place is one of the best we have stayed in! The minor downfalls can be forgiven for the pluses this place has to offer!

The light and sun poured in making it a very pleasant experience. Everything was clean and modern which is how I prefer holiday accommodation. The only thing I would add, and this is probably not relevant to everyone and that is the late check in time. Because we were flying we arrived with suitcases before noon and were at a loss as to what to do. The information centre offered storage at a cost. We did miss having a microwave as there were so many ready meals on the doorstep (Aldi, next door), but we managed fine with the cooker.

Being on the high street was very handy, but the apartment is set a long way back from the traffic so you never hear anything but the beach. As per another review it can be quite stuffy if there is no breeze or the balcony doors are closed, so we recommend a couple of portable fans. Our 3 and 6 year olds loved it. The owner has also provided body boards, wet suits etc which really helped. Parking at the station opposite cost us about £50 for the week. Easy access on foot to the beach and a short walk to the zoo etc. I would highly recommend staying. Wonderful.

  • "Firstly the apartment was as advertised in the Sykes web page."

What we didn't appreciate until we got there is the lack of ventilation and clean fresh air. The apartment has two french doors only for ventilation, no actual windows that open. This is fine during the day when you can have the doors open, but is no good at night. We stayed in June and it wasn't hot, but still the accommodation is stuffy and warm. I can only imagine what it would be like if it was hot. There are expelair units in the bathrooms and the second bedroom, but these only remove stale air but there is no fresh air coming into the apartment at night with the french doors closed. This apartment needs some kind of air conditioning. Also the kitchen units have been badly fitted. The pelmet that sits underneath the floor units kept falling down on both sides. The apartment on first glance gave the impression of cleanliness but as you looked closer the it was obvious that the apartment hadn't been cleaned very well. On a positive note the apartment was well laid out and ideal for two couples staying and the view is spectacular. Also the apartment is in an ideal situation for the beach and plenty of shops etc. Overall we did enjoy our holiday but I do believe that in July and August anyone staying there will struggle with the ventilation. ****** I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the spectacular views at Buena Vista. Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your comments regarding the ventilation. We are currently in the process of supplying an air-con unit. I was surprised to read your comments regarding cleanliness as it is a new flat and our housekeeper is excellent. We make every effort to ensure the apartment is cleaned to the highest standards and will continue to do so.
