It is beautifully preserved and frequently home to an exquisite collection of Tall Ships, featured in numerous filming projects both here and on location worldwide. Charlestown has a large, pebbly harbour beach ideal for rock pooling and also a children's playground. For golden sands and water sports, take the short cliff-top walk along the coastal path to Porthpean Beach - extremely popular with families.
