  • "The house was lovely, bright, roomy and immaculate."

It was very clean, well equipped and the view over to the mainland and the mountains was amazing. A large well maintained and secure garden was very helpful for our dogs, as well as the location of a footpath just at the end of the drive. This property is a short walk to the beach and a lovely cafe in the centre of the village. It is highly recommended and I hope to return.

Many thanks for your excellent review. We are very proud of our property and knowing that our guests have had an enjoyable stay is very important to us. Thanks again for such a great review .Kind regards Owners Property Owner

  • "We have had such an enjoyable time here."

Morlais is comfortable and welcoming and a good base to return to after our explorations of Dunes and beaches. Thank you for such a well equipped holiday home. We all would love to return some day soon.

  • "A lovely and spacious holiday home in a peaceful village."

The views are fantastic, especially from the first floor sitting room. Unfortunately for us, within 24 hours of arriving the weather changed and we had almost 5 days of strong winds, cloud and rain, some of the winds reaching over 60 mph. Although the outside areas looked good, sitting out was not an option. We would certainly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in this area, as it is within easy reach of all parts of the island.

Sorry you were unlucky with the stormy weather, but glad to know that it did not deter you from exploring our beautiful island. Many thanks also for your kind words and best wishes left by yourself at our property, very much appreciated. As you said the views from the house are fantastic during calm and stormy weather ! Kind regards - Owners. Property Owner

  • "Welcoming, light and views you will not believe."

The property was well maintained and very clean. Everything you could need provided in the kitchen and also throughout the property. Lots of DVD's, playing cards and games if the weather was poor. Lots of leaflets on places to visit and nearby eating places. A very relaxing property to stay in.

Many thanks for your complimentary reviews left both at the property and here on line. We are very pleased that your stay at Morlais was very relaxing and that you enjoyed the property, the location and of course the beautiful views. Kind regards to all the family Owners Property Owner

  • "Splendid property which was accurately advertised and thoroughly enjoyed by all four of us."

One or two items were needed to make the kitchen more user friendly such as an oven cloth and something to brew coffee in. The instruction from Menai Holiday informed us that we needed to follow property instructions on leaving, but apart from the keys there were no instructions re bedding etc. The only improvement would be regarding recycling and instruction re bin collection. Returned from a day out to find recycling bins out all along the street, but our property only had a grey bin and a green bin containing garden refuse. Unfortunately on our journey home we discovered that no-one had finally emptied the kitchen bin, our apologies! I would happily use your company and this property again. David Rogers

Many Thanks for the positive and friendly feedback and also the complimentary remarks regarding Menai holiday Lettings and our property. Regarding bedding we do not expect our guests to remove bedding at the end of their stay this is done by our housekeeping staff. I will add this information into our House Information Booklet . We are very glad your stay with us was so enjoyable and we would be very happy to welcome you back to stay at Morlais Aberffraw. oven gloves and coffee percolator now added Kind regards Owners Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable, home-from-home stay."

Lovely reading lounge on first floor with tremendous view of local estuary and beach. Good selection of amenities and appliances. Lovely welcome pack supplied and thoughtful doggie welcome pack. Good and secure rear exercise garden for dogs. Ample off-road car parking. Suggestions and review already left in folder at property. Low water pressure issues experienced with the shower. Additional set of house key(s) required. A few paperback books would be good. Non slotted serving spoon required in kitchen and selection of condiments to be supplied (salt, pepper, oil). More tv choice channel availability would be good. Extra consideration - addressing the security/access at side of property re dogs.

Thank you for your suggestions. We are so glad you enjoyed the week spent at Morlais .Yes the views are tremendous especially from the first floor lounge ,spare key and spoon as well as condiments now added . • "We had a fabulous time at Morlais."

The cottage is very spacious and the location was excellent, right on the coastal pathway and only a short walk to the beach and sand dunes. Plenty of board games, jigsaws and things to do in the property for rainy days for little kids and adults, and also lots of information on places to visit, as well as historical information about Aberffraw itself. It was nice to have the menus from local restaurants and take-aways available too. A special thank you to our lovely host for the delicious welcome basket and for coming to our rescue when we had a little mishap with the keys. We would definitely look to stay again in the future

The property

Tucked away in a quiet and scenic location, with close proximity to the Anglesey coastline is Morlais.

A welcoming, three-bedroom, end property next to open fields and enjoying stunning views of the estuary, leading to the wonderful, spacious sandy beach, and Eryri – Snowdon Mountain range; nature in all its glory.

After parking up, enter your new home from home to be impressed by the light and airy living/dining room, the well-equipped kitchen and the suntrap conservatory that looks out onto the front garden.

Or maybe, dine alfresco in the purpose-built barbecue area and patio, sipping on a cold glass of wine as you admire your beautiful setting; the third garden is an enclosed, lawned area.

At any time of the day, probably your most favourite room, would be the first-floor sitting room with stunning sea and mountain views.

Sit back, read, plan your day, look out of the bay window, and take in the beautiful view and relax!

When the evening draws to a close, escape to one of three neatly-presented bedrooms, each with plenty of storage and a charming nautical theme extending through to nod to your coastal location.

Aberffraw on the West Coast of Anglesey is a beautiful, quiet seaside village, recently named by the Telegraph newspaper as one of the 30 greatest villages in Britain, untouched by mass tourism.

Explore the beautiful, circular coastal path that is literally outside of your front gate.

This walk will lead you to the historical beach location of St Cwyfan’s Church, or as it’s known locally, the Church in the Sea, taking the countryside walking route back to your abode.

The village has a shop/Post Office, lovely tea rooms and bar, art gallery and nearby Cidery, or you could use the local bus service to explore plenty of places of interest.

Turn left out of the village, approximately 4 miles on is the larger and busier coastal water sports village of Rhosneigr, that has shops, pubs, and cafés; an 18-hole golf course can also be found here.

Turn right out of the village and find the breath-taking Newborough Forest with walking and cycling paths, and in the village itself, following the road to the outstanding Llanddwyn Beach, and if the tide is out, visit the historic and beautiful island of Santes/Saint Dwynwen.

Visit the National Trust property of Plas Newydd, or maybe visit the Anglesey Sea Zoo.

Located on Holy Island is the South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB café.

Spot seabirds nesting on the cliffs, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area.

In the port town of Holyhead maybe take a day trip to Ireland or visit the Holyhead Breakwater Park; Holyhead and Llangefni have further shops and supermarkets to take advantage of.

Drive over the Britannia Bridge or the famous Thomas Telford Menai Suspension Bridge, escape to Anglesey and enjoy a memorable stay at Morlais Aberffraw.
