  • "We had a lovely stay at Hill House."

It was in a very quiet situation, but the coast was easily accessible. The home was clean and there was a very much appreciated welcome hamper and chocolates. Most facilities were there, but we could have done with a hoover and maybe a mop for the wooden floors, as I like to clean before leaving. Also, a cheap hair dryer would have been useful.A welcome information pack would have been good too, listing nearest supermarkets, eating places, etc.One slight problem was that we were cold-there was the chance to light a fire, but we didn’t know where to buy logs and coal-there was only a starter pack of kindling. Another thing is that on the two single beds, I personally would use double size duvets for adults, as they give you more cover, when rolling over at night. The fire would make the lounge cosy but not the rest of the rooms. We did enjoy our time there and loved N.Ireland and the people. The setting was great and very peaceful and scenic.

Many thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately someone must have taken the hairdryer which I have now replaced. There is oil heating in the house which could have been turned on. With the thermostat in the hallway. We will put this information into an information pack. Many thanks for your suggestions. Property Owner

  • "We arrived to find the cottage very clean, tidy and fragrent!"

Discovering a pint of milk in the fridge (+ some other goodies) was a very thoughtful welcome. The cottage has just about everything you will need and is a good location to explore the north of Ireland. Belfast and Londonderry / Derry are both about an hour away, the causeway coast is less than 30 minutes drive and the Dark Hedges are right on the doorstep really. Even a day trip to the Mourne mountains is do-able. A great base to go venturing out from!

Many many thanks for your feedback. It is encouraging to to hear you found the house clean and that you enjoyed N Ireland. Property Owner
