  • "We rented this house 4 yrs ago and I can honestly say there has been no maintenance done at all."

The king size bed was so bad I drove to Milford on Sunday to buy a mattress topper there was no way we could have stayed the week without it, the bed was so hard with the springs rubbing against you, The tiles on the wall and floor of the upstairs bathroom were cracked the shower itself leaked and the water dripped through the living room ceiling so we stopped using that shower, the pressure of water from the other upstairs shower was also very poor. Thursday the heating stopped working we went and bought sticks, logs, turf and firelighters for the open fire there were a few small oil filled electric radiators which we also use my daughter eventually got the heating working Friday afternoon, i think the tell-tale sign about the conditions of the house was the FOR SALE sign, we went back to this house for personal reasons and to make memories unfortunately the memories off the house won't be good, but we made great 1s out and about

  • "We enjoyed our holiday at seaview and overall we found the accommodation fine."

The living room was very comfortable but the mattresses on the beds could do with renewing as they were very thin and not very comfortable. Only one person was able to use one of the upstairs bed as you could feel the springs in one side of the bed. Fortunately we had an airbed with us that we had to use instead. As there were 6 adults and three children in our family we found the fridge was not very cold and had no shelves on the fridge door to hold milk, water and juice. The beach was amazing even though the weather wasn't great but the wind from the Atlantic made it perfect for the children to fly their kites. They loved it. The scenery and on some nights the sunsets were stunning and overall we enjoyed our holiday. The only thing that would stop us going back there was it was a bit too isolated. We do love Donegal but would in the future stay closer to Dunfanaghy or Letterkenny.

  • "The cottage is well presented and comfortable in the main."

Unfortunately the mattress in the master bedroom upstairs is terrible, springs sticking out of it etc. The pillows are all a bit flat and useless too. However we had an enjoyable stay, the rest of house is great and being so close to the beach was lovely. We enjoyed the open fire and had lots of space to rest and recharge

  • "Sea view is on a beautiful site the grounds are well maintained However the inside of the property needs some maintenance done, the layout and size is great."

The shower in the upstairs top floor needs attention it is quite grotty where areas have been filled with sealant obviously to stop leaks which can be seen on ceiling below, the toilet seat in this en-suite is unsafe as it moves when sat on. The ceiling on the bottom floor small bedroom with the bunk beds has paint peeling off and we had to make sure our child didn’t have its head at that end as had the paint had been touched it would have flaked off. The kitchen is a great size but needs a deep clean, a handle on a drawer fixed as it’s hanging off, some of the trays in the oven were covered in grease so had to be washed by us and even then the grease was still evident The worst thing about our stay was the mattress in the top floor bedroom, the springs are visible!!! I have a bad back and had to sleep with a rug on top of mattress plus then sleep on top of the quilt, it spoilt our stay The bedclothes were clean and plenty of towels , which was great. Also there was no vacuum cleaner or mop and bucket which is essential to have with dogs and children We use holiday rentals twice a year, and have done for nearly 10yrs, we acknowledge that prices at peak times are higher but we were disappointed with this property, and it did not live up to the pictures on line. Amenities for groceries are quite a drive away in Kerrykeel also eating out in Kerrykeel comprises of 2 take aways. The restaurant advertised as a walk away no longer serves food only drink so eating out is limited. Being near the beach is great in good weather but I would advise those with children stay nearer Letterkenny for wet days, as this house location is isolated.

  • "As stated, this cottage is in a fairly remote location but we'll worth the drive."

Less than 5 mins walk you are on a beautiful large beach. Didn't see more than a handful of others on it during our stay. Cottage really well equipped and there's a welcome basket which is a nice touch. Loads of space inside. Conservatory an excellent eating spot to gaze out and watch the world go by. Night sky, if clear, is tremendous for star watchers.
