Everything you will need is there, the location in a lovely village , walks ,pub, a must for seeing just what is around the area. We would definitely recommend this cottage, so clean, bedrooms great and our 10 year loved staying there, have a nice decking back yard for meals or drinks....would love to return.!! • "What a wonderful cottage in a lovely village."

Perfect for our visit. The accommodation was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Access to a grocery, tea shop and pub/restaurant all were within 3 minute walk. Recommend for either families or couples as there is plenty of room for 6 in the two triple rooms. Look forward to a return visit. Couldn’t be more pleased. Top marks!

Cottage was well supplied to ensure we could please ourselves about staying put, venturing out, eating in, eating out. Easy access to several areas of interest including Lytes Cary Manor, Montacute House, Lyme Regis, Glastonbury, Wells and several lovely villages. Would recommend the Lord Nelson in the village and The Prince of Wales in Ham Hill Country Park for eating out.

Patio space to eat outside but would benefit from some outside lighting as we had to come inside as soon as it was dark. Lovely village shop, but for Sunday arrivals ensure you have provisions, although there was a pint of milk in the fridge and some biscuits provided.

  • "I would disagree with the last review completely."

The cottage is lovely and welcoming, spotlessly clean and the outside space is just beautiful! Lovely garden flowers, numerous sitting options depending on sun or shade preference, and absolutely no problem with spider webs or bugs! It's a very comfortable large cottage in an amazing village location and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it to anyone.

  • "Outside space very disappointing, the table and chairs were full of spiders and the wood was peeling off."

The plants were mostly dead, not sure why they were there. The welcome sign in the kitchen might be a nice idea but not sure if it was welcoming us or the insects that lived in it. The cottage felt like a business that no one was checking. Things felt tired inside and needed some updating. It didn’t feel 5 star and wasn’t to the same standard we have experienced before with Sykes Cottages.

  • "In a word, brilliant."

Exactly what we were looking for, a bit of peace and quiet in a comfy cottage in a glorious part of the UK. The description of the cottage was very accurate, easy to find. The owner had left milk and pastries, very thoughtful. She was also very kind and helped me with waste recycling, living outside the UK I am not used to the various requirements. Powerful shower, and plenty of hot water. If I have one small criticism, it appeared that the cooker was unable to cope with more than one hob working at any one time. Otherwise, everything we asked for and great walks to boot. Very friendly village.

Marcia happened to be there when we arrived and was very welcoming. The only downside is that Sykes' emails (arrival instructions, check in/out deadlines, etc) are written in such a way that you are left feeling like a naughty schoolboy rather than a grown adult!

Very comfortable clean beds If you wish detail as to where small improvements could be made then Catches on windows were very hard to open and when opened could be cleaned, No washing up liquid (we left you a bottle) purchased from the well stocked village shop. Instruction card for upstairs shower thermostat control would have been most beneficial (quarter turn anti-clockwise only) Sharp scissors would be good also sharp kitchen knives. Would I return to Greenham Cottage again, DEFINITELY as these are only minor issues.

Very modern facilities but keeping that wonderful 'cottage' feel. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas all very comfortable with plenty of room for 5 adults. The kitchen offers everything you could possibly need if you want to cook at home, although eating at all the local village pubs is a real pleasure with friendly staff and good food. This cottage is in a super village location but with very easy access to a main road making days out that much easier. We would happily stay there again!

The cottage is well appointed with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. The local pub serves a fabulous roast dinner and everyone we met was so friendly. We had beautiful weather, which was perfect for local country walks and visits to the seaside. The cottage is spacious and easily accommodated the 5 of us. It’s important to note that the beds are very high (except for the extra optional bed) and bed guards are no use with them, as the mattresses are so deep. This is just for young family information. We would definitely come back again and we were very sad to leave. The owners were easily contactable and very friendly too. Scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival was a wonderful touch. Thank you so much! The Oathams x
