  • "We had a lovely time, the house is really cozy and had everything that we needed."

The hot tub was fantastic, we really enjoyed using it. The location was great too, close to everything we wanted to do. There were only two things that would need improving - it would have been great if the grass had been cut as it was quite long during our stay. The bed in the main bedroom is awful, I’d highly recommend replacing it. Overall we had a really lovely weeks stay!

  • "A lovely apartment located a short distance from the beach and village."

Perfect for a family with extra luxury bonuses including a hot tub, good sized garden for football etc. and also TV / Xbox in the spare bedroom making a great children's space during our stay.

  • "Lovely accommodation and a great base for our holiday."

Only gripes: the mattress in the main bedroom is so uncomfortable (broken?) and needs replacing. And not the owners fault but the people before us must have had a dog as we were finding dog hair all week. It had everything we needed for our holiday, great garden for the kids to play. The hot tub was lovely in the evening. Walking distance to a beach. Would we come back? If the mattress is replaced then we would!

  • "This was a really beautiful apartment a d the owner clearly has a flare for interior design as the decor and details were lovely throughout."

The apartment was not short if anything, it had all you would need for your stay plus more! The outside space is fab, lots if room, lovely garden and decking area, lots of seating, we were blessed with weather so spent ot if time enjoying the outside space. The hot tub was a fab added bonus, and we used this most days we were here, big amd spacious with lighting for evenings under the stars, unfortunatley not all of the jets worked which was a shame but not enough of an issue to ruin our time, and I'm sure we could have called maintenance if needed and it would be fixable. Location wise, its fab, shops and eateries close by and old shanklin is stunning with lovely pubs. The esplanade is not fat to walk or there is plenty of park if you drove and its gorgeous down there. The apartment is a shared block, but has a private entrance and the garden area is very private and we didn't find privacy an issue. I have already reccomended to friends and would happily return to stay again. :)

  • "Excellent accommodation, very pleasant and close to beach and town."

Only thing that could have been improved was the bbq was very old and dirty so we were unable to use it. Also an umbrella would have been good as sun shines in the back garden after midday so no shade. Apart from that everything was very good.

  • "Although the information does say that it is not suitable for those with mobility issues it might be worth stating that entry is via steps."

This wasn't an issue but I can envisage a time when it might be especially when the description says the accommodation is all on the ground floor. Also a hair dryer would have been nice! A very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

  • "We had a brilliant weeks holiday here at Little Haven in May."

The apartment has all the amenities we needed and much more. My daughter loved the tv/xbox in the bedroom and enjoyed watching some of the dvd's available in the apartment during a movie afternoon when we had a really wet day. We had a few small issues but we contacted the owner who was amazing and it was all sorted within 24hrs. We have already booked to go back again next summer.

  • "We were first “greeted” by steps littered with rubbish, then grass which had not been mowed for some time with long dandelions and daisies etc."

some time into our stay received a text from the “house manager” asking if we were in a the gardener had forgotten his key. Grass was eventually mowed but we had to leave the gate unlocked. Under the settee cushions there was All sorts including food crumbs, The bathroom door handle was insecure and under rim of toilet was foul.

Thank you for your feedback which has left us most upset as we are proud of little haven and the extremely positive feedback from all guests that we have had to date. We passed this immediately to the Property Managers who explained that the garden due to heavy rain had not been cut for a little while but when had a break in weather wanted to come and cut but appreciate to interrupt your break is not fair. The rest of feedback they were very apologetic missed and am sorry it effected your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment."

Decorated to a high standard. And very close to shops. Beach and pubs. Very spacious for a family of 4. They left a lovely welcome pack. Hot tub was amazing and Maintaince person lovely he came at least twice in the week to check on it. Lots of board games and dvds to entertain on rainy days. My only feedback was cleaners aren’t great. Under sofa was missed. Fridge needed a clean and the Shower Edges need a bleach. (Not enough right now to bother me because the whole place looks brand new. but over time) And a hairdryer would be lovely and a broom. However we will be coming back. We had a great time here. One of my favourite apartments used so far in the island.

Hello Louise Thank you for the feedback both positive and some constructive which has been passed to the property managers as it is so important to us that you love Little Haven as much as we do and anything that can make the stay better we will take on board so thank you so much and we look forward to welcoming you back when you come again! So glad that having stayed at an other apartments this features as a favourite for you as we love it too! Thank you Property Owner

  • "Little Haven overall was a wonderful property that looked exactly like the photos."

It was very clean inside and a special shout out to Darren who cleans and services the hot tub, he keeps it in tip top condition and is very knowledgeable passing on reassurances that its safe to use. Now for the accommodation itself there are many pro's: -very clean inside -spacious -lovely big fridge and washing machine -plenty of cookware in good condition overall -fantastic location -parking onsite -very bright and airy inside -comfy sofa's There were just a couple of cons which unfortunately did affect our stay: -the mattresses were very sunken on both sides and you could feel every spring. It did make for a very uncomfortable week unfortunately which affected our sleep and resulted in the last couple of nights sleeping on the sofa. -no tv in the double room. Not the end of the world but would make a difference if one was present. Overall we would happily book again if there were new mattresses on the beds or at least some foam or cushioned toppers to make the beds bareable. Property, location and garden/hot tub were fabulous otherwise.

Hello Ashley Thank you for the great feedback and we are delighted that you had a great stay with us. Thank you also for the feedback on the mattress this will be looked into as we want every aspect of the stay to be loved for guests so that Little Haven exceeds all expectations Many thanks again and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Little Haven in the future. and high-speed fibre broadband, which proved useful and reliable. Homely and well thought out a perfect base to explore the island and its many attractions and history. The Hot Tub proved very enjoyable and just a perfect way to winddown after returning from a long day at The Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on the mainland, only a 10 minute flight on the Hovercraft and a short Taxi ride to get to. Overall an excellent 2 weeks and we were sad to have to go home. Thank you both for making it feel personal.

Bed was a little too soft for us but the long walks and sea air followed by hot tub to rest our weary bones helped us to sleep. Fabulous location close to both beach and Old Town. The owners included a lovely book to show you how to use equipment, local area and attractions worth visiting. We will definitely stay here again!

  • "We had a lovely stay at Little Haven."

It was a very clean, well equipped property and was very tastefully decorated. It was definitely a home from home. It is situated very close to the beach with the option to walk or use the public lift down to the esplande. We would walk down and get the lift back up. The parking space at the apartment was a bonus too. Little Haven had a large garden and hot tub which we used several times during our stay. Its great for family's, we had 2 teenage girls with us, who enjoyed the computer/TV in their bedroom for playing games on and watching movies. We would love to return to Little Haven and see more. There is so much to see on the island. Thankyou to the owner for letting us stay in her holiday home and for replying so promptly when we had any questions.

Hello Geraldine Thank you for such lovely feedback and we were delighted that your stay at Little Haven was enjoyed so much by you and your Family. The town of Shanklin on the Isle of Wight is a traditional seaside resort, sitting in a sheltered, sunny bay on the south-east coast of the island. Shanklin and Sandown offer all the right ingredients for a great summer holiday, with long, safe, sandy beaches and loads of family attractions, such as a zoo, pier and fairground, plus shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs. The older part of Shanklin, known as Shanklin Old Village, is set slightly lower than the town, where the road winds between traditional thatched cottages, tea shops and charming gardens and parks. Explore Shanklin Chine, a dramatic gorge with a waterfall tumbling through lush plants and mossy boulders. At the top of the cliff is the bustling High Street of shops and the grand Victorian theatre, at the bottom there are cafes, shops and amusements along the suntrap esplanade and sandy beach.
