Absolutely stunning place very relaxing ,quiet and stunning scenery and a perfect secluded setting Not a criticism but maybe a little note about the hot tub starting procedure and possibly contact the customer before hand to see wether they would like it starting before they get there as it does take a while to heat but then it's so easy to keep it hot But a fantastic stay all in all and will definitely be back keep up the good work

  • "What can I say ?"

We had a glorious stay at Eirlys. Lovely log cabin, fully equipped, very comfortable bed, great shower, smart TV and a huge fenced garden to allow the dog to roam about in without fear of them getting out. Fire pit was awesome. Didn't venture into the wood fired hot tub on a chilly October night but it looked amazing. The sound of the stream was very therapeutic. The weather was beautiful too, only raining overnight and on our drive home. The rest of the time it was warm and sunny. Result !! The directions to the pod were excellent as were the instructions for the key collection. There's a little info folder next to the welcome gifts (thank you) with all the essential information. We made use of both the TV and the bluetooth speakers ! The 10am check out was a bit of a struggle especially with breakfast, washing up, packing, cleaning, filling bin bags & a thorough poo patrol check (the dogs, not ours :-) ) in the garden area but we made it..just ! An 11am check out would have been easier. We found an awesome pub a couple of miles away called George III with epic views, an outdoor terrace, dog friendly and delicious food. Check it out if you come to stay here. Would highly recommend staying here (they have 2 as far as I could see) if you want a lovely few days away in the National Park. Awesome. Would definitely come back and once I'd posted my pics on Instagram, several of my friends were asking for the website links so they could book. Fabulous.

Seriously… it’s everything we could want for a short, comfortable & private break. The cabin is well equipped and perfect for a couple & their Doggy. A Hot tub, fire pit/ barbecue, and secure grounds. The hosts Clare & Gethin make sure you have all you could require, even acknowledging our special moments. If you want to escape & have a break away from working life then this is the place to come to.

  • "Absolutely amazing."

Had a lovely week at Eirlys, despite the September weather. As soon as we arrived, we were amazed at just how much space we had, and how private it was - the photos really don't do it justice - and the scenery is wonderful, with the front of the pod facing towards a streamside meadow and trees. The pod itself is very well equipped and comfortable - way better than we expected. The bed base lifts up so you can store bags/clothes etc underneath, and there's a great capacity fridge (no freezer), which the listing doesn't mention, and really helped with us being there a week. The cooker is functional with a combo microwave-grill, so although limited in what you can cook, it's certainly enough, and there's plenty of equipment and utensils (knives could do with sharpening). The bathroom is fantastic, and the rainfall showerhead was lovely and refreshing. Nice comfortable bed, and the lack of a curtain over the small window above the headboard wasn't an issue for us as it was dark when we went to bed, and just getting light when we got up, but it might be annoying with lighter nights or mornings. Sofa isn't the most comfortable, but it's usable, and the TV doesn't have any Freeview channels, so you need to use apps to watch anything (we took our own firestick anyway). There's enough room for 2 and a small dog comfortably, or 2 and a mad 35kg Collie with some creative thinking - but most of the time you want the double doors open anyway! The hot tub was brilliant. We had more than enough wood for a couple of uses, but we took a couple of bags with us, plus extra kindling and firelighters. Took me a few goes to get a decent fire going, but then it only took 90mins-2 hours to heat up. The difficulty I had was not getting the water so hot you could boil a lobster in it 15 minutes after getting in.... As we had no mobile signal, the great WiFi was a bonus and a curse at the same time as it means you can watch TV when it rains too much to get out, but if you have WiFi calling, it means people can also call you. The Mawddach Trail, which runs from Dolgeklau to Barmouth, is a great accessible route, with several ways to get on/off from the Bontddu side of the estuary, and meant I was able to do the whole length (in 2 separate sections) in my wheelchair. I would love to come back with some sunshine and see a lot more of the area. A lovely location, and an amazing pod for a relaxing holiday. Oh, and yes, we polished off the lovely little welcome gift of Prosecco, crisps and Caramel Wafers - thank you :)

Ahh thank you for the great feedback, glad you enjoyed your stay! x Property Owner

The Eirlys was beautiful and very clean inside. Had a little surprise waiting on arrival in a form of small bottles of prosecco and some snacks. There was also plenty of coffee sachets, tea bags and sugar which is something one doesn't always see. Hot tub was just a treat after all day hiking and again there was plenty of fire wood and fire lighters to get it going for few days. All and all I absolutely loved this place and would like to return in future.

The pod, was very clean and had everything we needed for our break. Set amongst the wonderful Welsh countryside with amazing views. The pod sits within its own very private enclosure so, we could let our four legged friend of his lead without worry of him escaping, which was brill. The addition of a hot tub just made it a perfect get away. Thanks to Clare who greeted us upon arrival and was very friendly. We will definitely be back....

The drive there was lovely but the last bit up to the property is not the best first gear all the way . There is also no facilities near by in walking distance you need to drive everywhere. Near by Barmouth beach is lovely . The property has a hot tub and fire pit , but as soon as you light them, you are fighting flies and flying ants off all night , if fly killing was an Olympic sport I would have won gold .

The pod was perfect, everything really clean, warm and cosy and great for what we needed it for! Unfortunately, under the water on the floor of the hot tub seemed to have a slight green coating. For this reason we didn't use it, might just need a bit more regular maintenance during the winter months. We'll definitely stay here again, we also really loved the animals around the site, and the missus was in love with the cat! Thanks for everything, see you next time

The green tint to the water only happens when we have had heavy rain, the water is from a spring and not mains water. Although it can be discoloured, it goes through a sophisticated filtration system so is clean and safe, Clare x Property Owner

Way too soft with a permanent dip in the middle. Additionally, there were no clear instructions for the hot tub which w simply could not get to a usable temp. The site warden wasn’t helpful win called about this. If that was me, I’d pay h customer a visit to help them get the best possible experience from their stay. The hot tub was the main reason for our booking too. The internal furnishings are nice and the Prosecco is a nice touch but unless the hot tub is useable the offer doesn’t provide good value for money.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay here the owners are very helpful and friendly."

The pod was very clean and tidy and beautiful with a gorgeous view. The only thing I would say to improve is somewhere to keep your clothes as we was living out of our bags which is fine but I think just to improve a little box to put your clothes or something would make it better also maybe some curtains or blinds on the doors you don’t really need them as no one can see you as it’s just fields opposite but I think it would have made me feel more comfortable to just have that privacy. The pod was amazing though and will be booking again and recommending friends.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! There are now curtains in the pods and the bed open for storage of your bags. Unfortunately being only 8ft by 12ft pods there is little room for wardrobes. Property Owner

The pod smelt brand new, very very clean and had every thing you need in there. It’s very private and secure. We took our Labrador with us and he loved it too, he couldn’t get out of the grounds and it was plenty big enough for him to run around and play. He loved walking to say hi to the horses and sheep at the farm. Very high up in the mountain so we had the most beautiful views, and the sound of the small river running down next to the grounds was lovely and relaxing. Only a five minute drive to Barmouth Beach which is beautiful. It’s just a shame that the weather turned for a couple of days, but it didn’t spoil our time here. The only qualm I have is that there wasn’t enough wood to use the hot tub every night, there was only enough for 1 night and we were staying for 4

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We tend to leave 2 nets of logs foe you on areival as part of your welcome pack. As it states in our guest book more can be purchased feom us and there are lots of shops locally that also sell logs. Property Owner

Our first glamping experience and all of our expectations were exceeded. The pod was spotlessly clean, cosy and extremely well equipped. Located in a beautiful, secluded setting, all we could hear was the nearby steam, the birds singing and the occasional sheep. We instantly felt relaxed when we arrived. The area was very dog friendly, so our Westie could freely roam without us worrying where he was. Our mornings were spent eating our breakfast outdoors and planning our day and our evenings we're spent watching the sky, satellites and shooting stars from the wood fired hot tub. There was no light pollution at all so we had quite a show. It was a short drive to the beautiful beach at Barmouth and there are some lovely shops and restaurants nearby. There is lots to do in the area. We were very sad to leave and, without a doubt, will be booking a return visit to Eirlys and this beautiful part of Wales.

  • "My stay at Eirlys was perfect and just what I needed before my mad rush back to work."

The drive through was beautiful, the scenery was so picturesque, it was breath taking. Yes I had to stop a few times to take a few pictures and videos, although I feel they do not to the place justice. The owners give clear instructions on how to find them, I took a lovely picture of the red telephone box. I am always dubious about the cleanliness of a place when I travel, and usuallyend up cleaning before i unpack and settle in, but Eirlys was impeccably clean and tidy, it even smelt brand new, which gave me such comfort and put me at ease straight away. Being in the middle of over a 800 acre farm, one may feel a little uneasy, but I cannot express how safe I felt. There was a still and calmness about Eirlys that just put me at ease straight away. The kitchen was really functional, with all the amenities you could need. I personally went to the local co-op, which was 13 minutes away in the car, and cooked everyday. This allowed me to find new spots to take photos! Eirlys has, a hot tub and a bbq/fire pit which came with clear instructions, and if you needed a little extra help, Claire and her husband left their mobile numbers in the welcome pack for you to contact them, which I did, and Claire was able to advise me on what I needed to do. The small touches at Eirlys are what makes it feel special. The snacks and prosecco on the table for us were delightful and could well be eaten while reading through the welcome pack. Inside the cabin/pod is well thought out, again on holiday I usually have to take an extension lead to plug in my laptop and phone, but the planning inside was brilliant. The plug sockets over the bed is a brilliant idea, and allowed me to complete some studies in comfort. I always bring a small Bluetooth speaker with me to listen to my Jazz while I work and study, but I didn't need it as Eirlys has bluetooth speakers in the roof!! I sat with the doors open and my Jazz on whilst finishing my studies and it was bliss. Eirlys is set in a beautifully picturesque place with a fresh stream on your doorstep, which I managed to get in and take some more pictures. I stayed at Eirlys for a week, and my reason for booking Eirlys was to sit in peace a quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, finish my courses for my business, with no distractions, before I go back to work, and I managed to do just that, so I am truly blessed and grateful for that. I would and am recommending Eirlys for a beautiful getaway or weeks stay. Thank you Claire

In fact what we met surpassed our expectation on our arrival! Although we got lost on our first day and the only one thing I could point out was:- They need to put a "sign with an arrow" to turn right at the second entrance before the narrow bridge as the Sat navigation kept saying keep left and then took us to a wrong place, but luckily we met with someone who directed us back before we could find the location of the pod...
