  • "Great location, very convenient for town centre, and Conwy is a great place to stay."

Cosy and pleasant cottage. Biggest gripe concerns parking. Listing says "Designated parking for 1 car to the front" - this is not true. You can park in front of the house, but so can anyone else. We fortunately were able to park when we arrived and unloaded and also when we left and loaded up, but at other times needed to use car park. Please change listing. Also, please set up smart TV correctly as internet connection unreliable.

  • "The cottage was in an ideal location in the middle of Conwy, with good access to all the local facilities and in east reach of Snowdonia and other parts of Wales."

Check in was easy and good to have the description of the narrow streets in advance. The cottage was cosy and comfortable with everything that you need.

  • "A lovely cottage in the heart of Conwy."

A great location for all that Conwy has to offer. The cottage has a lovely kitchen with everything you need to cook if you wanted a night in and a cosy sitting area with a log fire. We had good weather, didn’t need fire but when we arrived it was a little chilly but electric wall heaters very good they soon warmed us up. The cottage has a large comfy bed, it is quite low. Wasn’t a problem though and the owners do make it clear in summery of property. Great bathroom, shower also has steam facility. Communication with owners excellent, very easy to get hold of if needed. In all a really lovely holiday, will definitely return in the future.

  • "Arrived at property."

In a fantastic position for everything in town. First impression was dirty windows and door. - not very inviting. When we entered nice little place. Lovely kitchen with everything you need. Lounge could do with another lounge chair and a coffee table as nowhere to put your drinks at night.(read another review about this)Outside on back had not been cleaned for our arrival so didn’t go there. Nice bathroom but maybe the shower needs an upgrade or a good clean- noticed mould on door and under rim. Needs upgrade on towels- Tesco bath towels with bleach stains on doesn’t cut it. Nice fluffy bath sheets would be far better. I always strip the bed when I leave a property. The mattress protector was stained really bad and the duvet. (I have images)No information pack with places to visit and things to do. Only all appliance leaflets. Said Netflix on description but we couldn’t get it on TV. We did manage to park outside property so we were lucky. Very narrow little street. All in all we were out most of the days then out for a meal at night so only somewhere to relax at night and rest our heads. Would I stay again - yes if the gripes were attended to, as it’s a good base.

  • "A wonderful cottage right in the centre of Conwy with parking right outside the door."

Spacious with a very large comfortable bed and despite central location peaceful and quiet. The shower incorporates a steam facility so after a long day walking or exploring the beauty of Conwy and the surrounding areas you can have a relax in it. The owner responded to our enquiries very promptly and sent all details pre arrival. Conwy has it all from countryside to coast with a lovely little marina and local wooded area with coastal walk and the cottage is an ideal place to stay

  • "When we arrived the cottage was cold and the upstairs lighting had failed but a check in the fuse cupboard revealed a tripped fuse, easily remedied, however the heated towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work."

A dishcloth would have been useful or at least a new sponge scourer as the one there had been well used by previous quests also a couple of dishwasher tablets would have been a nice touch. The teabags were unusable as all stuck together and mouldy, obviously not been checked for ages. No hairdryer and the starter pack for the wood burner, as promised, was not there and had not been emptied since previous user. No information pack, pretty standard in holiday let’s, shouldn’t have to rely on a phone text for WiFi details. A small side table really needed in the sitting area to put a drink on and the windows needed cleaning. Attention to detail really needs to be improved, a below average place for an above average price, sadly would not recommend.

Thank you for your review, All of the issues above could have been avoided with a phone-call or message as we would have promptly responded and offered our support and explained where the dishwasher tablets, hair dryer and dishcloths are stored . The house is fitted with electric heaters which heat the house up quickly. We work hard with our cleaning company to ensure the property is well maintained and clean for all of our guests and the above comments are unfair. Property Owner

Great kitchen, great bathroom, great everything really! Loads of space out the back too. You can see the queue to the ice cream parlour from the front door, which is handy

  • "Thought the Downstairs was sparse and needs brightening up, with the two seater sofa just not enough to Chill on for two people, at least put a Chair in the from room and some coat hooks behind the stairs, simple things make the difference."

Vey clean and tidy though, kitchen spotless, Bedroom and bathroom, shower facilities faultless.

Thank you for your review, unfortunately there isn’t space for an additional chair (we have measured and considered if there is in the past). There are also coat hooks behind the front door. Property Owner

  • "The overall score of 2 is because 1."

..No welcome pack 2...An iron but no ironing board 3...Inadequate towelling, little toiletries, and no hairdryer.. 4... Towel rail not working 5...No wifi code 6 No outside bin However, easily the worst was the Decking area in the back....It was filthy... bird droppings and feathers in abundance... Also debri from the roof scattered all about. with a bit more thought and a clean backyard it could have deserved a higher rating.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback, but the ironing board is placed under the bed. Towel’s are provided for each guest, and wifi details are given within the welcome text on day of arrival. You would have received the information on check in day and could have contacted us with any issues locating things/accessing wifi. The back yard is brushed and cleaned each changeover but unfortunately as Conwy in a seaside town there are a lot of seagulls. We maintain the backyard as best as possible. Thanks, Gwen. About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, which has the longest zip wire in Europe, and Surf Snowdonia is just six miles away.
