  • "Had a lovely break - just what we needed."

Very comfortable stay on a working farm - all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Best homemade ice cream helped ! Will be returning with our grand daughter for her birthday - she will love feeding the animals. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Sitting out on the patio with a peacock for company is brilliant.

  • "We, once again, enjoyed our stay at the Piggery."

It is still clean, tidy and well equipped. The good wifi connection was a extra bonus this year, as we could keep in contact with the family as the phone reception is poor. We are booking another visit next year.

  • "A lovely little cottage with probably the best views we've ever had on holiday in the UK."

You really feel part of the farm as you are so close to the hens and sheep. The people on the farm and in the cafe are very friendly and approachable. When the fridge needs replacing, we would suggest getting one with an ice box as we missed having the opportunity to store a little bit of frozen food and to freeze the ice block for our picnic bag. We think people should be made aware that there can be quite a bit of noise from children (and indeed the parents) when they are squealing and shouting when playing on the equipment built on the back of the piggery. Monday and Tuesday are fine as the cafe and playground are closed then. It is a lovely environment for children visiting the farm for the day, animal petting, nature trails etc so we don't like to appear grumpy but just felt that the description saying 'peaceful new home' could a bit misleading.

  • "What an amazing place with such lovely hosts."

Made to feel extremely welcome right from the start. Accommodation was comfy, clean, and very modern with a super lovely shower. The views, WOW! I was so lucky to see lambs being born and found Spencer so interesting as he delivered his talk about tge lambing process. I certainly will be booking again as this is now my most favourite place in the UK.

Everyone on the farm was so friendly, and the farm itself was a delightful place to explore. Thank you Katy for such a lovely break. I’ve already booked my next visit!

There were chickens and their chicks, geese and peacock and peahen to entertain in the next door enclosure! Lovely tea/coffee/icecream room with delicious scones and cakes. The Piggery is delightful with everything you need and the views out of the window are priceless. The owners are absolutely lovely and welcoming and also a big shout out to the lovely young woman who works in the ice cream parlour who is outstanding in her service and warm and helpful personality. The homemade ice cream with so many different flavours to choose from is the best I have ever tasted. The farm itself is fantastic with an array of animals and there are gorgeous long walks which can be taken directly from the property. I loved my stay and there are many lovely places to visit. It really is an area of outstanding beauty and was very good for the soul. I would highly recommend this heavenly place. • "Myself and my girlfriend have been fans of Blaze Farm for a couple of years now."

Katy and the family who run the farm are really friendly, they will quite happily stand and chat despite being very busy. We have stayed in the Swallows Nest property in the past which was nice and secluded. However the views from the Piggerey are something else, you can quite literally lie in bed and look out at the hills and the scenery. There are plenty of animals on the farm that are really approachable and you can even feed them. They also make homemade icecream on the farm which is delicious, there is also a selection of cakes and sandwiches on offer all at reasonable prices. The farm is honestly one of mine and my girlfriends favourite places!
