  • "Lovely, comfortable cottage, well equipped, cosy and warm."

Parking outside the door was easy and convenient. We had a fantastic week, thank you :)

  • "We had a great week here mid January."

Extremely clean & tidy upon arrival. Great location & just a 5 mins walk to pub & shops etc. Despite the very cold weather the cottage was very cosy & warm and the log burners were a nice feature to have(take ur own logs though). Would book again if it’s still being rented out as it’s currently up for sale sadly.

  • "Very nice chocolate box cottage very comfortable, beds and sofas, all you need for self catering."

and fantastic views, central for pubs places to eat and walks, it was not very clean the fridge and freezer and microwave were not cleaned the window sill in the bathroom was covered in dust and flies I did try to hoover before we left but the hoover had no suction due to hoover bag being full and there was no replacement bags. Overal we did enjoy our stay.

  • "Lovely, comfy cottage, very well equipped and in a good location."

Parking is limited. We thought the provision of two logs for the fire and the milk in the Welcome Pack being a week out of date was a bit stingy! However, we would stay there again.

Good modern shower room. Great views from both sides of the cottage.

Plenty of pubs, cafes and amenities a short walk. Lots of walks from the doorstep. Friendly helpful neighbour and welcome email, wine & biscuits from owner. Could have easily stayed a lot longer. We would love to stay again.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a perfect location!"

A short walk to the centre of Castleton (5 mins) but with countryside views to the back made this a wonderful place to stay. The cottage was nice and clean, a decent shower and kitchen facilities too. Parking out the front was available for one car. There were lots of nice touches from the owners of the property such as a book shelf for swapping or sharing books, games and DVD's available and a little folder of information about the cottage itself and it's history, but also the local area and amenities. Would very much recommend staying here!

  • "We enjoyed our stay but the lack of garden furniture - specifically cushions or comfortable chairs - may have been annoying had the weather been kinder."

Might also have been nice to have had a radio somewhere in the property rather than having to use the TV's. But excellent location and never had a problem parking directly outside. Nice cafe very close by too.

  • "Such a beautiful cottage."

Really felt like home away from home. A lot of love and care has obviously gone into it. Wouldn't change a thing. It was just perfect. I will absolutely be back.
