  • "We had a fantastic holiday in Aldeburgh."

Hidden Cottage is beautiful, really cosy and comfortable and we loved the huge back garden for our dog. It is also perfectly situated in Aldeburgh, close to the beach, and the main High Street. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • "We loved the cottage, the character and garden."

Yes the stairs are a challenge but you get used to them. The bed is very comfortable but the sofa is less so. Would have liked to have cleaned up during and at the end of our stay to make sure the property was handed back in good order, but the brush and dustpan is not up to the job. Appreciate that storage space is limited but a small hoover or a long handle broom would certainly help. Location is great, easy walk to all that the town has to offer.

E brush/mop/hoover, Bed very loose and creaking (but comfortable) But would definitely return

  • "A lovely property which was quirky and a pleasure to stay in."

We loved the attention to detail and the large garden. However it was a bit strange for the guests staying in the other half of the cottage to come through to the garden to use the bins.

  • "We really loved the cosy bolthole of a property, perfect as a base to explore the Suffolk coastline."

Super close to the amenities of the high street and the sea.

  • "A quaint very clean, well equipped cottage, smaller than expected, lovely garden although shocked to see the occupants of tiger villa walk into our garden to deposit their rubbish in the bin - not being made aware of this did make us feel the cottage was not private and then we wasn’t sure when they would wander back into the garden, we enjoyed exploring aldeburgh and the surrounding areas."

  • "Excellent location for this cottage being a short walk into town, the beach and beautiful river walks."

The cottage is small but adequate & a lovely welcome basket of goodies was provided. The garden is large and lovely chairs provided to sit out. The bedroom is quirky with its slanting squeaky floors and a very comfortable bed! The stairs should be listed more as a ladder than stairs..they have very small treads and are very narrow! More emphasis should be placed on this on the cottage description! The hot water supply is not consistent and not enough for a bath and occasionally does cut out in the middle of a shower! It would be a benefit to supply some cleaning products so that you don’t have to buy kitchen & bathroom cleaners for a weeks holiday. Also we where unable to locate any floor brushes or even a dust pan and brush which would be useful.
