  • "Lovely little cottage, very convenient for the High Street which had lots of lovely shops, pubs and restaurants."

We used this as a base to explore the local area and really enjoyed our stay.

  • "Main complaint was the 'no signal' on the TV."

A Sykes maintenance man did try a TV aerial connector he had, but still unable to access live TV as you normally would...frustrating! Cottage was smaller than expected but enough for 2 of us.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Tuckaway Cottage, ideal location to beach and town and lots of character."

There was a little patch of paint flaking off in the hall which looked due to a leak from the skylight above which needs attention. The only feedback would be to have more toilet roll and the phone network service is poor in the cottage and had to use the phone outside.

  • "We only had a small amount of toilet roll."

The hob needs attention as I could not get the bacon to fry. Small things that need attention

  • "Very poor cottage should of never been let out i that condition very poor agents for letting it out"

Very sorry to hear this. I understand that the Agent kindly gave some refund. More importantly, we had the property inspected and there was no mould whatsoever, but was some paint flaking owing to a leak in the window above, in part of the property away from sleeping quarters and living spaces. This has now been rectified through Chapel Properties, a very reputable local company, with damp proofing included and work taken to address the leak. Kind regards Tim W Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed out winter stay at Tuckaway Cottage in Aldeburgh - perfectly located for the town and beach."

Only issue (don't have to publish this) is that the confirmation emails clearly stated that the check out time was 1.00 pm. This seemed later than usual - and so it proved when someone came to clean the property at 10.30 am with the understanding it was a 10.00 am departure. This wasn't a problem at all, and we had plenty of time to leave - but worth checking on emails etc. Thanks

Thank you for your lovely feedback on Tuckaway Cottage. We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your break away and hope to welcome you back again soon. Thank you for also flagging the error in our departure details, we will get those amended to ensure that they are accurate! Property Owner
