Waterproofs, waders and wriggly bait - if these are on your

and what better place to stay than one of our fishing cottages!
An island nation means miles of coastline and superb saltwater
fishing from both shore and boat. Join a charter trip and go
jigging for mackerel, or try drift fishing and lure a specimen
bass. If the sea's too choppy, go spinning for bass on the
beach - try Cornwall for surf fishing, with the spectacular natural
backdrop an added bonus! Other good spots include the North Norfolk
Coast, Northumberland, Fife's East Neuk, not to mention deep
sea adventures off Scotland's north coast. Get little ones a
net and bucket to collect crabs from rock pools, or a small fishing
line to dangle off the prom for bigger catch.
Freshwater fishing is equally popular, especially in Scotland
where we've some super fishing holiday rentals. Enthusiasts
flock for sensational salmon fishing on the Dee, Spey, Tay and
Tweed. Add lochs, canals, firths...the list goes on. Or what about
fly fishing in the Yorkshire Dales? Hook river trout and grayling
from the Wharfe and Aire, or head for one of the wild brown trout
fisheries.
