  • "The kitchen tap does not work on cold and is very loose."

The hoover lightly hoovers ! We would have vacuumed round had it worked. We left better loo roll. 2nd TV - only worked on TV- no batteries for DVD player - no internet The towels are rubbish - take your own We loved it though !

We are sorry to hear about the cold tap and also confused since our plumber fitted a new cartridge in it only three weeks ago. I will ask him to re-visit and check it. There are two vacuum cleaners provided and I was not aware of any problems with them so will check that also. We buy our towels from a major supplier to the hotel and catering industry and have not had previous comments of this nature so perhaps it is a case of personal preference. We are glad you loved it though! Property Owner

  • "Lovely house down a bumpy road that need a few holes filling in- not easy to find in the dark and after a long journey disappointed as no toilet roll provided."

Lovely views over to Holyhead and very peaceful

I am sorry our cleaners neglected to leave toilet rolls which would certainly normally be provided. We advertise the property as being in a rural location and believe the positives (views and peace) outweigh the bumps. The local authority obviously have constant demand to service many miles of rural roads on Anglesey, not all of which can be fulfilled. Property Owner

  • "A great house in a lovely location with all the facilities you need."

The beach is just a ten minute walk away, there was an occassional costal walker so we pretty much had it to ourselves. A couple of observations though. The double bedroom downstairs needs a blind on the velux window, and the upsatirs four poster shower/wetroom flooded with water dripping into the kitchen downstairs. Lots more positives than negatives so we would highly recommend.

Thank you for your comments. We are planning to install a blind on the roof window soon. Property Owner

The standard of hygiene has always been fantastic, you are provided with everything that is needed. The owners are really response and very helpful. It is positioned in a gorgeous area and just a 5min walk to the beach. It feels like a home from home whenever we go. May favourite part is sitting in the conservatory watching the ferries! • "Just had a great holiday in house."

Very quiet and peaceful location. Plenty of room for everyone and a great garden at rear(front) with lovely sea views over to Holyhead. We spent a lot of time sat in garden or conservatory enjoying the view. Nice stroll down to beach. We had lovely weather and were able to explore more of Anglesey’s beautiful bays. We celebrated my husbands birthday whilst there with a lovely bbq in the garden. We slept in downstairs room, no problems with velux window. All the pans we tried worked on the kitchen hob, so no problems there. A n excellent house for larger group.

Many thanks for your very kind comments. (and for endorsing my response to the previous review) Property Owner

  • "Generally a nice, comfortable, well equipped house in a lovely location."

Loved the sandpit & pirate ship & proximity to a lovely peaceful beach. Didn’t love The downstairs bedroom has a skylight window with no blind - absolutely ridiculous. My daughter & baby were woken at 4.30am the 1st morning. We had to go into Holyhead that the dishwasher was a bit dodgy - bottom rack difficult to move & when we arrived there were lots of dirty pots and pans in the cupboards. That some of the pans didn’t work on the induction hob - very frustrating - get rid of them

I am sorry your daughter finds it difficult to sleep without a complete blackout but am unclear what that has to do with going in to Holyhead. The bedroom was converted three years ago and this is the first comment of this nature. The skylight is in the passage connecting the bedroom to the en-suite and cannot be reached without a ladder. Providing a means to easily access and operate a blind is therefore not straight forward but will be investigated. The cleaners assure me that all the pans had been through the dishwasher (which has a normal bottom rack). It would be rather pointless to provide pans which do not work on the induction hobs and we have not done so. In view of this comment however they have all been checked and they work fine so this complaint is simply not valid. Property Owner

The situation is good being quiet and yet not too far from facilities like shops. The views are great and the weather was very kind to us. There was plenty of room for our large three generation family group to share. Our one query about disposal of rubbish was answered promptly.

  • "Wonderful location and house."

We had 2 adults, 5 older children and 2 under 18 as well as an 8 month old Labrador… there was plenty of room for everyone. The enclosed garden was a big benefit, especially for the dog. Just a 10 minute walk to a wonderful quiet beach, shallow for a long way out, especially at high tide. The shared garden has a hose pipe which was very useful for cleaning dog and paddle board when coming back from the beach. Good selection of takeaways and shops in Valley with big supermarkets in Holyhead - Tesco even deliver to the house if needed! Country parks on Holy Island were great for exploring with the dog.

  • "Our family stayed at Bodlasan Groes House for a 60th Birthday celebration."

Although, the house is somewhat off the beaten track the benefit is fantastic views and only a short walk to a lovely sandy beach where we swam and also did some crabbing and catching shrimp. The accommodation is well presented with comfortable beds and a variety of sleeping options, en suite, 4 poster, double bed, twin or bunk beds. We gained easy access using the key safe and found the house was very clean and had just about anything we would ever need. There is plenty to do near-by and we all had a fantastic holiday at Bodlasan Groes. We highly recommend this accommodation.

We used the bbq and n relaxed in the gorgeous garden overlooking the sea, which was brilliant. Generally clean and check in instructions were not very clear but aside from this brilliant property, could not have asked for better.

Thank you for your positive feedback. I have checked with Menai as to what check in instructions were supplied and they have confirmed that full details were sent. I am mystified as to what was not very clear as this is not an issue which has ever been mentioned before. Property Owner

Cottage situated just a 10 min walk from the beach. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere but this is what we was after. You can see a beautiful sunrise over the mountains at the front and an even better sunset over the sea at the back of the cottage. There was plenty of room for 8 adults in both the dining area and main living room. Also the beds were extremely comfy. An all round perfect place for the weekend away and at a great price too!
