Clean and comfortable. Kitchen is small, but adequate for a short stay. Good size bedrooms and bathroom. Very enjoyable

  • "Perfectly situated in this lovely village, quiet and comfortable."

All the amenities are within easy walking distance. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. We would have liked some ancillary form of heating downstairs as there is only a wood burner which is a problem when you are in & out during the day particularly in recent chilly weather.

Hi Julie Thank you for your feedback, but Im quite disappointed that you didn’t use the heat pump that is on the wall. There is a controller in a holder on the wall as you walk in. The heater is quite big and sits above the glass shelf. I will have to make it more obvious so this doesn’t happen again. Property Owner

Such a fantastic property; cosy, well equipped, nicely decorated with super attention to detail and overall a very comfortable cottage. We’d definitely stay in this cottage again. There was also excellent communication from the property owner in advance of our stay, including comprehensive instructions about the property.

  • "Fab cottage in lovely (quiet) location."

. Cosy, clean and comfortable benefitting from newly decorated/equipped facilities.. Close to some amazing walks and local facilities. Think that a bath-mat in the bathroom would be a good addition to the property. Having to come home and back to reality!

Thank you for the wonderful feed back, I’m sorry to hear that there wasn’t a bath mat, there should’ve been! They are normally hanging up over the shower screen. I will mention this to the cleaning company, thanks for highlighting it. Glad you had a great stay at Bryn Afon.. Property Owner

  • "Great location to stay, lovely village along with some beautiful walks, the property was clean to a good standard and very well equipped!"

I have to say the let down was the overwhelming smell of damp downstairs, we continued throughout our stay to leave open doors and windows which did help slightly, and I am very aware that it's an old property which involves issues but it was over powering at times to the point of cutting our stay short, it was such a shame and I'm not enjoying letting you know, but have to be honest , we also really appreciate the milk, cake etc left for us which was a lovely welcome, I hope there are some solutions to this problem,

  • "Beautiful property in a wonderful location!"

Everything has been well thought out and is perfectly comfortable, making this the perfect nest to come back to after a long days walking. We have stayed in many houses that claim to have ‘great chefs’ kitchens, but non have ever had such a well equipped kitchen as this place! Even the simple things like soap and sponges, tea and milk being provided mean you can just arrive and get on with having a great holiday! The views from the back garden are spectacular, the photos just cannot do justice to what a treat it is to sit there with a glass of wine looking over a mountain top. With great pubs and shops within walking distance and a beautiful river walk from the door, what more could you ask for. Thank you Bryan Afron, we’d love to stay with you again!

Thank you for the positive feedback, I’m glad you had a great time and enjoyed the house. I thank you for respecting the house and I believe you may have left a bag of wood ready for the next guests, thank you. Property Owner

  • "A lovely homely house."

Very clean with excellent facilities. Our only fault was that it was very cold. There were radiators but we didn't quite know how to use them, so complete fault of our own. Thank you so much, I highly recommend!

Thank you for the positive feedback, and that you thought the cottage was homely. I’m very sorry you couldn’t work the heaters, I only wish you had called so I could have given you instructions to make the cottage warmer and more comfortable for you. I really appreciate your comments and your recommendation, you are most welcome again.. thank you. Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our five-day stay."

The lounge area, with its wood burner and super comfy sofa and chairs, was the perfect place to relax after a long October day’s walking. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed (clearly new and in excellent condition!). Upstairs the bedrooms were large enough for our requirements (2 adults, a two-year-old and a two-month-old) with very comfortable beds. The owner, Richard, was incredibly helpful from the moment we booked. Always happy to answer our questions and he provided a comprehensive set of instructions/ info prior to our arrival. Nothing to complain about at all and we’ll definitely be looking to come back soon.

Thank you Ben for the wonderful feedback. Your comments are a reflection off the achievements at Bryn Afon. The recommendation you made regarding the Kindling and wood, I have listened to and guest have those to get started with after a long drive. Thank you again and you are very welcome to come again. • "We really enjoyed our stay at Bryn Afon."

The cottage was very clean and tidy and a credit to the owner. It had everything we needed, including some books of local walks which we found very useful. The only downside for us was the Smart TV as we couldn’t figure out how to watch ‘normal’ tv channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 etc) but we’re not very technically savvy! Thank you for the fresh milk and cake, they were much appreciated and with family now living in North Wales we may be back soon!

Thank you for the wonderful feedback. I’m so please you had a great stay here at Bryn Afon. Sorry you couldn’t watch the ‘normal’ TV Channels. I really appreciate the positive comments and hope you decide to stay again in the future, Thank you. Property Owner

  • "Perfect location as a base for getting out and about - amazing walks from the village and the village is well served with pubs and eateries."

The cottage is a small and cosy retreat that was very well equipped and great support from the owner on arrival with instructions. Complimentary milk and cake on arrival was a lovely welcome! The only negative is the smell of damp could be overbearing at times - it is a very old property and so a common issue (perhaps installation of trickle vents to the windows would help). Overall a great little place and we had a great time

Thank you for your feed back, it seems the cake was a good treat on your arrival and overall you thought it was a great little place, that cheers me. Regarding the damp smell, yes it’s an old place, and after you mentioned it my cleaners realised that the bamboo carbon bags scattered about had done their job and were giving up an odour, they have now been changed, thank you. • "The house is very clean, comfort, and has excellent design."

It has a view to the small river and the sound of the flowing water is relaxing. The owner called me a day before and provided important details about the house and the village. There was a tasty traditional cake waiting for us when we arrived, many thanks for the owner for his hospitality. The baby bed was amazing and easy to set up. The house is in the heart of the snowdonia national park. It has everything needed except a washing machine but it was not not a problem for me as I only stayed for short time ( 3 days).

Thank you for your positive feedback. I was very pleased to hear that you thought the house was clean and comfortable and of good design. Glad you liked the complementary Cake. With regards to the washing machine, yes it was a difficult decision not to install one, I felt space and design were more important. Thank you again. Property Owner
