  • "The property was comfortable, clean and spacious."

The outside area was a little sparse and not really inviting to sit out . The WiFi connection was very hit and miss, although it was a smart tv we could not access Netflix or I player due to lack of signal. The location of the property at the top of an incredibly steep narrow lane made walking and cycling from the property very demanding . The cottage is located on a working farm and there are a lot of dogs that descended on us whenever we arrived at the property, as dog lovers we were not daunted by this. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Some confusion with the oven was because on Sykes website it states that it is a gas hob and an electric oven, this is wrong as it is a gas oven . The property would benefit from a microwave otherwise it was quite well equipped. The views from the entrance to the farm were stunning .

  • "I have enjoyed my stay at The old parlour."

The place is nice and freshly renovated. The location is perfect close to many picturesque and historic sites. The local surroundings are nice with a lot of activities to do and places to explore. The bed and the mattress were very confortable and the mattress is made from the owner's sheep wool. The shower was spacious with a very good water pressure. The kitchen had everything you require with good supplies. There is also a washing machine which is very handy for longer stays. Moreover, the owners were friendly, reactive and helpful trying to resolve queries quickly. The wifi was good . The only issue was related to the boiler that was new but kept turning off and required a reset regularly. It happened daily towards the end of our stay.

Thankyou for your comments, it was unfortunate with the boiler which is now sorted. Property Owner
