The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

A detached stone-built 17th Century cottage tucked away in a quiet position in a conservation area in the lovely Peak village of Baslow. The property has been created from the conversion of an old granary and retains much of its original charm, including beamed ceilings. The comfortable and very well equipped accommodation makes a superb holiday retreat at any time of the year. Chatsworth Park and House are on the doorstep and the amenities of Bakewell are within easy driving distance.
Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath (shower over), washbasin and WC. Well equipped fitted kitchen and spacious dining area. Delightful, beamed sitting room with feature open fire. Large conservatory porch with extra sitting area.
Full gas central heating and additional heating from open fire in sitting room. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, colour TV etc. All fuel and power inc in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for two cars. Patio garden with garden furniture. Sorry no pets. Shop 1 min and pub 5 mins walk.
