Blessed with wide open spaces and a spectacular coastline, this
beautiful corner of eastern England is a wonderful place to bring
your wet-nosed pal.
Some of our pet friendly cottages in Norfolk are close to the
coast, where most beaches welcome dogs except for some seasonal
restrictions around the major resorts - try Holkham Bay, Horsey,
Sea Palling, Winterton-on-Sea or the empty beaches of Old
Hunstanton.
The county's rural interior is equally appealing if
you're planning a pet friendly cottage holiday in Norfolk. Take
for instance the countryside in and around Sheringham, Salthouse
and Weybourne, where footpaths weave across higher ground, with
views of the sea beyond. Country parks abound, often with
impressive stately homes (though 'Scamp' will have to nap
in the car if you take a peek inside) - highlights include the
Sandringham Estate, Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Holkham Hall.
Or explore the woods at Bacton or the Holt Country Park, depending
on where's closest to your pet friendly cottage in Norfolk.
Good places to exercise in the Broads include Ludham, Ranworth
and Coltishall, or hire a boat for the day at Wroxham and take
'Scamp' along too. And when it's time for a little
R&R, hop aboard the Bure Valley Railway or find a traditional
country inn - many warmly welcome dogs.
