The apt was delightful but the outside on approach needed a good clean---weeds instead of flowers in the wall planters and a general tidy up.

Please find a selection of holiday cottages in Norfolk. Here you will find cottages along the coast and throughout the county of Norfolk, including on the Norfolk Coast, the Norfolk Broads or in North Norfolk and in towns like Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sheringham and Holt.

A Norfolk cottage holiday promises a welcoming mix of unspoilt coastline and picturesque countryside.

Much of the coast is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Expect vast sandy beaches framed by high grassy dunes and some of Britain's finest salt marshes. Enjoy invigorating walks with the family and your four-legged friend. Go cycling, windsurfing, sailing or kiting. Explore amazing nature reserves like Titchwell and Cley. Or take a boat trip and spot grey seals - lots of them, basking in the sun. Traditional seaside resorts include Cromer, Hunstanton and attractive Wells-next-the-Sea , while bigger and bolder Great Yarmouth offers round-the-clock entertainment.

The countryside brings miles of gently rolling landscape stretching as far as the eye can see. Not forgetting the Broads, where you can hire a small motor launch for the day and chug along its giant maze of waterways - home to an enormous amount of wildlife and a paradise for birdwatchers. You can also walk or cycle along the paths zigzagging through the swampland.

Or do something different and float across Norfolk in a hot-air balloon. Numerous pretty villages dot the county, brimming with cosy tea rooms, galleries, quirky shops and welcoming pubs - look out for the conservation village of Castle Acre.

Amongst the many historic monuments, those not-to-be-missed include Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Norwich's beautiful Cathedral and the Queen's country residence at Sandringham. Add family attractions from zoos to dinosaur parks, museums, gardens, steam railways, breweries and a plethora of places to eat and drink and your Norfolk cottage holiday is just a couple of clicks away.
