The attractive rural village of Ipstones lies on the western fringes of the Peak District in lovely moorland countryside, between the market towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The village offers a post office, village shop and pubs serving food. The surrounding countryside is excellent for walking with miles of woodland trails and moorland hikes to enjoy. Dovedale and the limestone Churnet Valley are on the doorstep and The Manifold Trail is closeby. There is easy access to many of the area's attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park (NT) as seen in TV’s Pride & Prejudice, the NT Ilam Estate or Blackbrook Zoological Gardens. A great touring base for all the Peak District - and Alton Towers is just a 10 minute drive away.

Ipstones 2 miles. A delightful stone built, semi-detached cottage, part of a thoughtful conversion of an old Dairy, set in the rural hamlet of Bottomhouse within the parish of Ipstones. The tastefully decorated property makes a charming holiday home, with exposed beams and a split stable door adding to the relaxing atmosphere. A large courtyard area to the front, and an enclosed garden with open views make this cottage great for relaxing. Ideally placed for exploring the attractions of the surrounding area, including the spectacular Peak District National Park and close to the Manifold Valley, Tissington Trail and the steam trains at Churnet Valley. Note: The Creamery adjoins The Dairy (1098) via an interconnecting firedoor and together they sleep 9. They are also next to Bottomhouse Barn (2586) and together all 3 can accommodate up to 23 people.
