Just Show Me Norfolk Broads Cottages
Welcome to our biggest, nationally protected wetland - the magical Norfolk Broads! Formed by hand during medieval times, the region offers a wonderful mix of attractions and activities, whatever your age or taste.
The Broads are made up of miles and miles of waterways zigzagging through the countryside - there are no locks, so it's a great place for beginners. Many towns offer boat hire and you can take one out for an hour, the morning or the day, allowing you to chug along at your own pace. Or paddle along by canoe - a real outdoor adventure.
If you'd rather stay on land, pull on your Wellies and stride out from your Norfolk Broads cottage. There are miles of boardwalks and paths through the swampy woodland, or you can opt for long-distance trails like the Wherryman's Way. Tandems, mountain bikes, children's cycles etc are also available for rental across the region, with routes ranging from short, circular ones to the more challenging Weavers' Way. Find your rod and cast off for pike and perch. Or grab those binoculars for close encounters with birds and wildlife - a Norfolk Broads cottage holiday is the perfect choice for wildlife watching, with six national reserves.
Explore pretty, thatched villages offering inviting shops and places to eat and drink. Tour castles, gardens, museums, churches, mills and breweries. Travel by steam on the Bure Valley Railway. Or sit on a bank easel and paintbrush in hand and be inspired by the truly special landscape.
So much to see and do in a Norfolk Broads cottage!
