Discover north Devon's stunning Heritage Coast and book a holiday cottage in Croyde, a village with bags of character. Old, thatched cottages line the streets, home to ice-cream parlours and cosy tearooms, plus a small selection of shops selling gifts, surf gear and everyday essentials. Just over the dunes are the soft, Blue Flag sands of Croyde Beach, framed by cliffs and famous for long, rolling breakers. You'll find a huge surfing community here and also lessons for beginners. Just half an hour by car brings you to the wild landscapes of Exmoor National Park. Closer still are the shops and award-winning Pannier Market of Barnstaple. Discover the extraordinary habitats of Braunton Burrows Reserve, a UNESCO listed biosphere. Or sample a few more gorgeous villages such as Clovelly, Appledore, Lee and Lynmouth.
