This may be the best equipped Holiday House ever. The only thing I couldn't find was a lemon squeezer, but that's probably because I didn't look in the right place. It's a lovely house. Yes, it's on the main road but you do get used to that and you can walk safely along the disused railway track right into the village where you can visit the excellent pub. There were just a few issues that concerned me: the first was that in the filter of the dishwasher was the remains of a wine glass and there was fat smeared around the lower part of the dishwasher seal on both sides. Presumably someone had forgotten to check this. Secondly, we would've felt more welcome if there had been plenty of toilet roll et cetera we did not expect to spend the best part of £1000 for a weeks holiday and have to go to the shop and buy toilet roll and kitchen towel. You would not expect to buy toilet roll in a hotel nor on a campsite. Why should you buy it when you're self Catering? Lastly, it was very offputting that we were expected to strip the beds and to do all of the washing up and put it all away and bag up and bin all of the rubbish including the recycling. It was beginning to feel like there wouldn't be anything left for the cleaners to do. I note that Sykes properties often have this policy but I find it very off-putting and would not be happy to sign up to it again. Please only publish the positive aspects of this review, I'd like to give the owners credit for creating a fabulous place to stay, I'd just like them to do a few things differently.

A lovely, well equipped holiday cottage close to the pretty village of Grantully.

Our party of 4 adults and a 5 year old stayed for the weekend of a family wedding and were given a warm welcome by our helpful hosts who live next door. We'd strongly recommend staying there, ideally for a week or two.

The property is spacious and beautiful, everything you could need is provided, lots of space, super clean, lovely garden, and the walks direct from the property along the river are always a highlight. See you next time!

Beautiful home, well maintained with everything you could think of provided - easily the best equipped kitchen ive enjoyed, better than home!

Two good fires, very clean and tidy throughout. We would have loved to sit out for breakfast but Mother Nature always wins in the Highlands! Would happily recommend.

Very well appointed with lots of "extras" including a well stocked bird table outside the kitchen window in a lovely garden.

The ground floor bedroom and shower room is excellent for less mobile visitors. Although close to the A827 this is not a problem as the soundproofing is good. Restaurant and shop within easy walking distance and a convenient bus stop for Aberfeldy.

This accommodation is wonderful, very large property with lovely outside space.

Our host william and Lisa couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming, the cake left for us was delicious

The house was really lovely and perfectly set out with everything we needed.

Our hosts were next door and so on hand, but kept a distance otherwise allowing us privacy. The garden was lovely and laid out so we could follow the sun. We felt welcome and at ease and had a relaxing time

Tigh na Rathaid is a beautiful holiday home from home with everything you need to enjoy your holiday.

There is plenty of room and a lovely light, airy feel to the place. The beds are really comfortable too. Lisa and William are absolutely lovely and happy to point out good places to eat, visit or birdwatch. You can watch the birds at the feeders from the kitchen or decking area, which wasn't midgey either! Lisa's home baking is absolutely delicious and was very welcome. The electric piano has plenty of sheet music to enjoy also. The location is fabulous, with plenty of local eateries - we especially enjoyed The Inn On the Tay.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tigh Na Rathaid near Aberfeldy, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything you'd expect for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, making meal preparation a breeze, and the cozy living areas provided the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights throughout our stay. The hosts were welcoming and attentive, adding thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The location is ideal, with scenic walks along the River Tay and easy access to local attractions. I highly recommend Tigh Na Rathaid to anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious retreat in the heart of Perthshire.

A superb cottage with everything you could need.

Immaculately presented. Hosts are lovely and on hand if you need them. Local pub does great food. Only drawback is the main road but that does go quiet at night so not a problem for sleeping. Would return again.

The cottage was an interesting building to stay in and had lots of character.

It was comfortable, especially the beds, well equipped and organised and an excellent base from which to explore the area. In this sense it was ideally placed, with numerous lovely walks within a short car journey - and one, the Rob Roy Way, right on the doorstep. Also excellent eateries and a stunning chocolate shop only 10 minutes walk away. The only draw back was the road outside which was busy at times, though not at night so sleeping was absolutely fine, but would realistically reduce the 5 stars to 4.5. But conversely, this road gave the easy access to the numerous walks. So it's not really something to make a fuss about and we would definitely recommend Tigh Na Rathaid.

Great place to stay for a short trip (5 days).

Owners were very kind and left home-made cookies and scones for us! Also recommended a few local places to visit. No complaints whatsoever.

Spacious and comfortable cottage.

Nice friendly owners live next door and supplied home baked cookies, cake and cheese scones. The only negatives were it could have done with brighter lighting in lounge and bedrooms, a more modern and user-friendly tv, and a manual for the double oven.

Electric piano was a unique bonus. Short walk to a nice pub which does good food and overlooks the River Tay. Owners live nearby and were extremely welcoming.

We were met by the owner who welcomed us warmly to the cottage. She had provided home made biscuits and had picked flowers from the garden. The cottage was quirky and had plenty of room for us all to either be together or enjoy some quiet time. I would highly recommend this cottage. Sandra

This is a really lovely house to stay in with every comfort provided.

It is freshly and interestingly decorated and therefore good to 'be there'. Not the least of it is the beautifully kept garden with several options to sit and eat outside. It is fully equipped to a high standard. Everything is made as easy as possible. All grades of music are provided for the high quality piano.

Good location, with superb outdoor facilities if weather good !! Easy access to village facilities great food. William,the owner , most helpful on the local bird life , family fascinated by the volume and variety of birds in the garden - regret we did not get to see the osprey. No problem in highly recommending this property, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Tigh Na Rathaid.

From the warm and friendly welcome, including the lovely home baked cookies, to the lovely walks around the village. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, with the log burners adding to the cosy atmosphere. It was easy to walk into the village for hot chocolate at the Highland Chocolatier and the path along the river was beautiful with the autumn colours. We would certainly like to return.

Perfect place for a weekend with young children!

Thank you so much for all the thoughtful touches such as the high chairs, toys and paddling pool. The kids all had a wonderful time, as did the grown ups. I’m always on the look out for good holiday lets with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom as my mother-in-law has some mobility problems. She loves Perthshire so I’m sure we’ll be back at Tigh Na Rathaid.
