Nef-Stedi

We had a fantastic stay at Nef-Stedi and honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like somewhere we could properly relax and switch off. The house is beautiful, exceptionally comfortable and has everything you could possibly want for a stay in this part of Scotland. It is clear that a great deal of thought has gone into making it feel welcoming and homely, while still having that special holiday-house feel. The location is wonderful too. Inverurie is close enough that you have absolutely everything you could possibly need — shops, supermarkets, restaurants and plenty of places to visit — while Nef-Stedi itself feels wonderfully peaceful and secluded. It really does give you the best of both worlds. One of our favourite things was simply sitting and watching the swallows. There was something incredibly special about watching them swooping around the property. Those little moments made the stay feel even more special and gave us a chance to slow down and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. The owner was also brilliant at recommending places to eat and things to do locally. We took their recommendation to try the fish and chips in Dyce and they were absolutely spot on — a great recommendation and another lovely part of our stay. We loved getting out and exploring during the day and then coming back to Nef-Stedi in the evening. The hot tub was the perfect way to relax afterwards, and the whole property has such a peaceful and cosy atmosphere. It really is the sort of place where you immediately start wishing you had booked for longer. Everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and extremely well equipped. Nothing felt like an afterthought and there was genuinely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also found the owner to be absolutely lovely — friendly, helpful and clearly passionate about making sure guests have a wonderful experience. Their local recommendations were excellent and really helped us make the most of the area. Nef-Stedi is one of those rare places that genuinely exceeds expectations. We have had a fabulous time and would return in a heartbeat. If you are considering booking, I would say don’t hesitate — you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Lovely return stay at Nef Stedi.

Comfortable, very well-equipped, spotlessly clean and beautiful views. The addition of the electric car charger is fantastic, made our plans so much easier, and the app was easy to add to my phone. Diane and her family put a lot of care into this property and making their guests' stay as enjoyable as possible.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

The accommodation was clean, modern and had everything we needed. It was very spacious and you could tell it is looked after. There were a lot of extra items in the kitchen which you wouldn’t normally get, which was a big help. The owner was very friendly and helped with giving us sightseeing tips and knowledge of the local area. The area was picturesque and very peaceful. The hot tub was amazing and was serviced everyday. We also had a visit from the nearby sheep who came to say hello! They were being naughty and had escaped but they were quickly rounded up. The garden was maintained by the robo-mower, who was also fun to watch. Overall, we had an amazing time and hopefully we will be back again one day!

We had a wonderful family stay at Nef Stedi near Inverurie.

The property is beautiful, peaceful and very well equipped – we didn’t need a thing during our stay. The warm welcome from the owner made us feel right at home straight away. As a family of four, we enjoyed exploring the area. We visited the local town, a nearby beach where we watched the resident seal colony, an ice cream parlour, and had a fantastic day out at Fraser Castle. The hot tub was a real highlight and the perfect way to relax after our days out. We were even lucky enough to hear an owl nearby in the trees on one of our evenings. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our holiday and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful place!

The hostess is amazing, extremely welcoming and accommodating. Nef-Stedi is amazingly well appointed, there wasn't a single thing we needed that wasn't provided. Spacious, clean and stunning. Our teenager loved the upstairs as his own private area to escape. 100% recommended. Thank you so much.

There was a small room full of toys and games for children. The hot tub was amazing and the surrounding was really safe and calm !

Without a doubt the best equipped, most comfortable and spacious holiday home I ever stayed in.

An excellent base for touring around Aberdeenshire, with friendly and very helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

Excellent property in a good location.

The back bedroom has a Velux window which makes sleeping difficult in high summer. The adjacent shower needs maintenance to the water flow valve and the shower-head slider. The property would benefit from having its name displayed at the entrance from the road.

Lovely, modern property.

Extremely clean and well maintained. Everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking/eating at home. A nice touch, having adult and children’s books and games to use. Diane, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack and delicious homemade cupcakes was very much appreciated. Location of property is very good for travelling to various NTS sites in the area, coast and Aberdeen etc. Beds were extremely comfortable with lovely bedding and towels. Separate towels even provided for the hot tub. Can highly recommend a stay in this house, in beautiful Aberdeenshire.

The place was unbelievable I wasn’t expecting a beautiful location and peaceful surroundings.

The hot tube was outstanding and very fancy with the lights jets. I would love to return.

The cottage was set in a lovely spot in the countryside. It was lovely and clean comfortable beds had everything you needed. There was a lovely welcome pack which we all enjoyed. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful property, extremely well appointed (didn't have to keep washing mugs as so well stocked!),very comfy beds, great showers etc. We all loved the hot tub. Diane was one of the best hosts I've met - so warm, friendly and full of ideas of things to do if we asked. She responded to any queries very promptly. The only slight issue was a high vellux in one of the bedrooms that doesn't have a blind - didn't affect me as I was in another room but the sun streaming in woke the occupants early. Won't matter in autumn or winter. Otherwise a fantastic property in a beautiful area with a great host!! We would definitely go back there.

This is an exceptional cottage, extremely well equipped, home from home beyond expectation; e.

g. lap trays, wine bottle stopper, loads of cutlery, glass ware etc and even luxurious towels for the hot tub. The welcome pack was beyond generous, the beds very comfortable and the layout was very convivial for socialising when cooking. Secluded setting but accessible for all sight seeing. Diane was very welcoming and unobtrusively helpful. One of Syke's best, would definitely recommend. Thank you Diane for a lovely week.

Had a great stay.

Sad to leave. Property is clean and well maintained. Hot tub is clean and well looked after. Diane is a lovely host. Any issues were sorted immediately (like a blown lightbulb). Made for a great holiday.

A fantastic holiday house!

The house is very clean, well equipped and comfortable and is really spacious. The hot tub was excellent and kept in tip top condition. The owner was welcoming, easy to communicate with and really had thought of everything one might need. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The house is ideally located for touring Aberdeenshire and we would recommend it wholeheartedly!

We thouroughly enjoyed our short break at Nef- Stedi and only wished we could stay longer.

Nef- Stedi had everything you could possibly need and Diane provided all those lovely little extras that made our stay even more memorable. She even brought around a lovely whisky to calm the nerves on our Daughters wedding morning. We would definately use Nef-Stedi again in the future even just for the delicious cup cakes.

Cottage suited our needs completely.

Was travelling with elderly mother so having a bedroom and full bathroom with walk in shower, on ground floor, was exactly what we needed. Upstairs equally well equiped. Lovely and warm, full kitchen, including freezer, we felt very much at home. Beautiful countryside but close to amenities and easy to find thanks to good instructions. Will definitely use again when in the area.

Diane was very welcoming and treated us to delicious cup cakes, Prosecco and various essentials for a cup of tea after a very long journey from Herefordshire. There was everything we needed for our stay, from fluffy bath towels to wonderful under floor heating and the hot tub was an added bonus ! Would definitely book again . Thank you

Beautiful accommodation absolutely everything in it you could need.

Great hot tub. Inverurie itself not overly exciting but not a problem if like us you're prepared to get out and about . Diane the proprietor wonderful lady and very approachable, left a lovely welcome hamper of tea, coffee, filter coffee, biscuits and some lovely cupcakes ooh and a large bottle of prosecco and a vase of beautiful flowers which we thought was a wonderful gesture, would highly recommend.

Beautiful home and fully equipped with everything you need.

Lots of games, books and DVD's for entertainment. The hot tub was wonderful!! It was nice to know it was cleaned just prior to our arrival. The home baked cupcakes were the "icing on the cake"!! We loved our stay!!

Fabulous accommodation.

Diane was a welcoming and extremely friendly host. Countryside surrounding the property was breathtaking. Lots of interesting places to visit, towns within 7 mins with pubs and shops, golf courses galore and using the hot tub after a busy day was superb. Absolutely fantastic accommodation.

Very well equipped and Diane was great, gave us lots of ideas for things to do during our stay. Lovely welcome basket with goodies and the cup cakes were just amazing. Can’t recommend this enough to anyone thinking of visiting.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well equipped Nef Stedi was; the kitchen in particular.

Diane, the owner, was so relaxed and friendly. We were in Aberdeenshire to celebrate our daughter’s wedding close to Nef Stedi. On the morning of the wedding Diane brought a bottle of malt whisky to help steady nerves, such thoughtful gesture, she waved the bride, father of the bride and bridesmaids off which they found very touching. I cannot recommend Nef Stedi enough, lovely views from every window and close to lovely place to visit.

Warm welcome from the owner Diane who surprised us with home made cupcakes and a bottle of Prosecco. Would love to bring the hot tub home, very relaxing after driving around seeing the sites.The young bunnies kept us entertained as did the swallows in residence. Would highly recommend.

Amazing!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Diane who gave us a tour of the house and explained how things like the heating /hot tub etc work. There was a yummy plate of fresh cupcakes and a basket of essentials on the counter as well as milk & prosecco in the fridge! The cottage was spotlessly clean, modern and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. There was a games cupboard & a book cupboard both with a wide variety of games & books for all ages. The location is perfect. Remote enough to enjoy the night stars in all their brilliance but close enough to Inverurie for all your shopping needs. Lots of amazing places to visit. Check out Newburgh Beach to see the seal colony, Balmeddie Beach & dunes, Pitmedden Gardens, Haddo house, Tarlair outdoor swimming pool (derelict now but lovely all the same), Drum Castle, Crathes Castle and New Slaines castle. Many of these are part of the National Trust Scotland so it's worth purchasing a membership if you intend to visit more than a couple of their places. Ice cream lovers won't want to miss Barra Berries for the most amazing ice cream. It's less than 10 minutes drive from the cottage so you might want to visit more than once! The highlight for our boys (2 sons with special needs) was definitely the hot tub though! Our youngest was in 2 or 3 times a day. It was well maintained, freshly filled on the day we arrived and Diane checked it daily for chemical balance & cleanliness. It was the touch of luxury we needed after 6 pretty rough months. We can't wait to go back!!

Nef Stedi was a lovely, comfortable and very well equipped accommodation.

All of my party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The hot tub was well used and added to our relaxed stay. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property!

It was a fantstic property.

Really enjoyed our stay. The host went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and even brought Halloween treats for the kids. Its set in a wonderful area which we used as base for the week to travel throughout the area. Good access to Aberdeen thorugh Inverurie. The hot tob was fantastic and checked daily to make the temperature was just right. The property is very clean and has all the facilities to make your stay comfortable. We even saw the northlights from the upstairs bedroom whcih was an added bonus. I would recommend this cottage to anybody.

Very large and modern / stylish accommodation close to local amenities - although car essential, nothing within walking distance.

The toy cupboard, books and dvd's for the kids was very thoughtful and kept the kids amused. The house is beautiful and loads to do in the surrounding area for families. We had a wonderful week and will definitely be returning in the future.

Very comfortable home in rural Aberdeenshire with all the facilities you expect - and more besides!

! Spotlessly clean, well equipped with lots of fluffy towels for the bathrooms and the hot tub. Very comfortable beds too. The owner, Diane, greeted us warmly and took us through the house to explain where everything was kept. The welcome basket and freshly baked fairy cakes were a delightful surprise and much appreciated. There was a wealth of information about local attractions and places to visit. The cottage is close to the Castle Trail and there are several whisky distilleries within easy driving distance. The local farm shops and delicatessen stock a good range of locally sourced foods if you want to eat at home but there are several good restaurants nearby too. Can’t wait to come back!

Well what can I say about Nef-Stedi what a place we was welcomed by Diane who might I say was most helpful (thank you) she shown us how everything worked within the property she also had a lot of information of what to do in Aberdeenshire the welcome pack was a massive hit the kids loved the cupcakes.

The property itself is a home from home if not better beds shower the hot tube were all amazing we couldn’t of asked for any better a all around amazing place. Peaceful nice views and much more it’s a great base to adventure around Aberdeenshire which we did but also went further a field we really enjoyed our time at Nef-stedi and can’t wait to return don’t delay book today !!!

In a lovely rural setting, Nef-Stedi is all it appears to be online, - and more.

A friendly welcome followed by a quick tour of the house to explain a few things from owner Diane and we were left to enjoy ourselves. The accommodation is excellent with comfortable beds and lovely sparkling clean bathrooms with powerful showers and lots of quality towels provided. Pretty much everything we needed was in the kitchen and we enjoyed the experience of the super hot tub - accompanied by a glass of bubbly! A good selection of plastic glasses was provided to use safely around the pool; an example of the care and thought that has gone into equipping this property. Useful utility room with washer and tumble dryer. Lovely area, with plenty of places to visit. Castles, distilleries, beaches and wildlife hot-spots (seals at Newburgh beach and Spey bay for dolphins) all in around an hour's drive through the attractive countryside. Would definitely recommend Nef-Stedi as a base to explore Aberdeenshire and beyond. We had a very enjoyable stay.

This is our 2nd trip to Neff Stedi and it is just perfect in every way.

Amazing house and beautiful tranquil location.

We had an incredible stay at Nef-Stedi for my dads 50th birthday and Christmas. Thoroughly enjoyed living in this modern house, everything about it was perfect! The facilities were outstanding. Would recommend this venue for anyone wanting a relaxing home away from home. Wish we had discovered it sooner, we will definitely be back!

Ned-Stedi has everything you can possibly need to have a great stay.

The accommodation is amazing and the personal touches were lovely. The owner was very welcoming and provided plenty of information to make our stay great. The bedrooms are spacious , the kitchen well stocked, the under floor heating was fantastic on a cold day and the hot tub a perfect place to relax.

Our second holiday at Nef-Stedi in 12 months and can't wait to go back next year.

Nef-Stedi was superb.

Very comfortable accommodation and beautifully furnished. The underfloor heating was fabulous and just what we needed as the weather turned very cold as we arrived. It didn't stop us using the wonderful hot tub though! Only regret? Not a long enough stay!

We stayed whilst working in the area.

It was a great place to stay with great facilities. The showers were really good and the beds comfy. It was a little tricky to find ( due to the post code either being wrong or a sat nav fault. Also couldn't get the microwave to work but minor details given how nice it was

The kitchen appliances were easy to operate and the bedrooms were beautifully prepared with plenty of towels. Separate towels were even provided for the hot tub. The welcome pack of prosecco and tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cakes and biscuits was greatly appreciated. Inverurie was nearby with a choice of supermarkets. The house is accessible to many National Trust properties and with Newburgh beach nearby there was plenty of interest for adults and children alike. Diane made us most welcome and we would like to thank her for allowing us the use of her lovely property and for all the advice on things to do with children.

WHAT A GORGEOUS PLACE!

! My family and I spent a fabulous weekend in this beautiful accommodation, the hot tub is the best and the place was immaculate and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay so special. We arrived to home made cup cakes and a bottle of Prosecco and even ice in the fridge so thoughtful. The accommodation is set in the countryside but is only 5 mins drive from Inverurie which offers a Trampoline park which the kids loved. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Nef-Stedi :)

Nef- Stedi was a last minute booking (the week before Christmas) - what a find!

Had a fantastic time, lovely to arrive to a decorated Christmas tree and welcome pack to get us started. Well equipped and modern accommodation finished to a high specification. Was great that additional towels were provided for the hot tub so we didn't have to pack any - one less thing to think about when you are travelling a distance. Under floor heating makes the property lovely and warm even in the cold and snowy conditions we had - felt very cosy. We look forward to returning sometime soon.
