Had a very nice stay only slight issue was connecting to the Internet we used information from the guest book which as been replaced new access information in picture frame on bookcase.

Accommodation in nice quiet location with short walk to amenities.

This property is amazing it has everything you need.

Very quiet area lovely back garden , only 10 mins walk to beach. Excellent restaurant The Breeze Hill a short stroll.

The bungalow was spotlessly clean as usual.

We have now stayed there 6 times. It is conveniently located with local shops and the beach less than a five minute drive.

The property was homely and well equipped.

The garden was safe for our dog would recommend to stay there. Plenty of places around to eat and shop.

Lovely cottage and would happily stay again, great enclosed garden for our dog as well.

One minor comment is that the steps up to the grass garden could do with a hand rail.

We felt instantly at home at the Salty Puffin.

Lovely quiet location with all the comforts expected. It's clearly used and loved by the owners who were great to deal with. Within 20 minutes of arrival, we immediately booked for June 2027. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Salty Puffin it is our first time staying at this property.

The accommodation was excellent it was comfortable and spotless, we could not fault anything. The decor was lovely it gave the feeling you were at the seaside but also felt homely.. We have stayed at several properties over the years and it was nice to find a garden where we could let our dog out and know she would be safe. From the property you can walk to the Beach and we went everyday to walk our dog at Benllech beach. We were very lucky the weather was sunny.The property is central and there are good roads to visit everything on the Island. I can understand why this is a popular property we have already booked for October and May next year.

It’s in a quiet residential area within walking distance to shops , pub and beautiful Benllech beach! The treats, milk and many different drinks was an added bonus. Salty Puffin was clean and very comfortable we wouldn’t hesitate in returning.

It was every bit as good as our first visit. Our dogs love the garden, so many smells. Great location, really quiet and private. Within easy reach of shops and beach. Welcome pack really good, thank you. Bungalow is comfy and well stocked, with everything you would need, including items for the dogs. Have already recommended to family. Highly recommended we will return.

We had a lovely stay at the Salty Puffin, quiet and peaceful area, and it has everything you could wish for, and very comfortable beds and sofas.

One of the best Sykes cottages we have stayed at (and we have stayed at a few !). Will definitely be staying there again.

Our second holiday at the Salty Puffin.

The cottage is a lovely bungalow and has everything you need and is in a lovely quiet location and central to all attractions and beaches. It was all decorated for Christmas with a lovely tree. We hope to come back again.

The Christmas decorations were such a lovely addition as was the thoughtful welcome pack which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Salty Puffin. The standard of cleanliness was outstanding and it was perfectly equipped with everything needed for a superb stay.

When we arrived what a lovely surprise all decorated for the Christmas festivities. The bungalow is very cosy, comfortable, clean and well equipped. In a quiet cul-de-sac, enclosed garden and close to the beach. Would definitely book this property again, first class.

A lovely bungalow in a very quiet spot.

The property was spotlessly clean and had all amenities included. Only recommendation would be to have clearer directions as we arrived after dark and spent 30 minutes driving around the estate to find the property.

We had a lovely week in Salty Puffin the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and washing our clothes.

It is very homely and warm our dog loved the garden. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach which we did every morning. Thank you for the welcome pack bit was greatly appreciated. We hope to return next year and would highly recommend to family and friends.

It is such a comfortable,spacious,extremely clean and we'll equipped bungalow.It is so good to find somewhere which has instructions for use of equipment.Salty Puffin is very well situated for visiting the local beach and all the other sites Anglesey has to offer.

Centrally located yet away from busy main road. Fab enclosed back garden ideal for our dogs. Patio doors in kitchen to the garden which we could leave open for dogs to go out and come in as they wished. Had a lovely, comfortable, relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay so much in this lovely bungalow. It was perfect, yet again. Spotlessly clean and everything well thought out and provided for. We couldn’t have asked for more. The garden is so pretty and adequately secure for our dog Ellie. We will definitely return soon for another holiday.

This is a beautiful bungalow,in a very very quiet area, 10 mins walk to beach, 15 mins to shops, 10 mins to a very nice restaurant.

Bungalow was spotless had everything was a home from home. Garden was perfect for childern or dogs. We had a very relaxing week so good already booked for next year . Can't recommend it enough. And the rest of Angelsey is all about a 30 min drive ?

The bungalow was in a good location and had everything needed for a good holiday but a few things let it down for us.

The standard of cleaning needs improvement as lots of surfaces were dusty and grimy, the bins were dirty and a bit smelly- bigger ones needed which would last longer. The biggest issue was the garden as it really needs clearing to make it safer- we couldn't relax with our dog as it wasn't really dog friendly despite being secure. In general, the bungalow just needs updating and modernising to bring it up to a higher standard for a more enjoyable holiday.

We had everything we needed and more, home from home comforts,everything was easily explained with instructions for all the kitchen equipment.

Our third stay in Benllech and our first stay at Salty Puffin – but it won’t be the last!

Comfortable, clean, homely and spacious with everything we needed (and more). The garden was safe and secure even for a curious pooch in tow! Salty Puffin was one of the better holiday homes we have stayed in and would recommend without a doubt.

It has everything you need.

We stayed for a full week with two adults 10yr old boy and fur baby. The bungalow has everything you need and has enough space for everyone to find a quiet corner (if needed) or space to play games and chat together. The location is perfect, on the end of a cul-de-sac it’s very quiet and peaceful. The garden is spacious and dog friendly. Our dog likes to explore but never found a way out of the garden. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely use it again when we are in the area. Thank you.

This property is perfect for our needs.

The location is quiet but near to shops and the beach. There are plenty of places to visit in Anglesey, even out of season. All beaches are doggie friendly at this time of year which is a bonus for us. Salty Puffin has a well equipped kitchen, a comfy lounge and an enclosed garden. It is a favourite of ours, hence the fact we’ve visited 5 times and have booked our next visit. Highly recommended.

Nice quiet location in a cul de sac and handy for exploring Anglesey. The cottage was decorated for Christmas with a lovely Christmas tree and lights. We had a lovely holiday and we appreciated the effort put in to ensure we did. We will definitely be returning.

An excellent comfortable detached bungalow with a nice garden at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a great location for exploring.

Only criticism would be is that whilst you can change the temperature of the heating you cannot change the time it goes on/off. This certainly would not stop us returning though.

Everything you need is in there. The location is in a perfect place for exploring all areas. The garden is very secure for dogs.

Lovely spacious bungalow, quite location, beds clean and comfortable, toilet not fixed down almost tipped off it.

Towels smelt damp and musty when using after shower so I washed them before we used again. Pots and pans we used needed cleaning before use as still food on from previous guests. We needed to move a settee as dogs ball went under and the floors were really dusty and dirty . I would stay again but it does need a deep clean

Peaceful location , large property, extremely well equipped kitchen.

Bed is very comfortable. Clean and comfortable. Many areas of interest close by , Benllech beach is lovely and the right hand side of beach is dog friendly. The only negative was the state of the back garden. It is secure for dogs, but grass was very long in parts with weeds, looked like it had not been cut for quite a while, weeds growing on patio area where table is. Main concern was a large holly tree where the garden was covered in VERY SHARP dead holly leaves. 2 of my dogs paws became cut and painful for him.

It is becoming an annual tradition as we have already booked to stay again next year.

Salty Puffin was everything we were hoping for and a little bit more.

It is spacious, comfortable and well furnished in quiet surroundings, which helped towards a relaxing, enjoyable break. The garden is a good size and enclosed. All the kitchen equipment was in tip-top condition and crockery, utensils, etc were there in abundance, including an oven glove. The distances quoted to pubs, shops and beach were accurate and the locals were friendly. I would happily return there.

The property suits our needs and is well priced for the area, hence the fact that this is our 4th visit.

The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of utensils and crockery. Both the lounge and bedrooms are comfortable, and the heating can be adjusted to suit individual needs which is great. Thank you for organising the lightweight duvet, and for contacting us re an item left in the bungalow. I’m sure we’ll be back again, as we love the property and Anglesey.

. thank you for having us ! Perfect for us and our dog, again he settled straightaway, lovely size garden and parking to the front.. nice quiet road, and neighbourhood. Warm and cosy and well equipped house.

The accomodation was good, the bed was rather hard, which meant I didn't sleep well, however my husband found the bed good and slept well.

There was anything that you needed for a week, kitchen equipement was plentiful and the welcome pack was a thoughtful idea.

Great Location.

The Salty Puffin in Benllech is in a great location to explore Anglesey. While it could do with an upgrade it must be one of the most well equipped place we have stayed in. The welcome pack was especially nice and the bed was so comfortable we even slept in twice. Our Labour enjoyed exploring the secure garden which for us is a big tick and glad I had some old towels to wipe her paws when she came back in. We would recommend this bungalow to stay in and or friends stay last year another is staying later this year.

The property had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay , very well presented and homely.

The owner had left plenty of information about the area and hostelries which we found useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.

Lovely bungalow in a very quiet and peaceful location.

Short walk to Benllech beach and Red Wharf Bay, the latter allows dogs. The bungalow itself is very homely and cosy with a big garden we were lucky enough to have hot sunny weather so we made full use of the garden and our border terrier loved it, the garden is fully enclosed so great for dogs. The kitchen is very well equipped with loads of crockery and cups and every gadget you could need. We had a lovely week and didn’t want to come home would highly recommend Salty Puffin. Also the Beachcomber is good for food and also Finneys Golden Fry but if you want to click and collect I would recommend ordering early in the day as time slots get full.

We have loved our stay at salty puffin, this was our first time in Anglesey and it didn't disappoint.

The bungalow was like home from home it had everything we needed, the garden was a big hit, it's such a fantastic space and safe for our dog and children. The location is perfect with shops and a beautiful beach just a 15 minute walk away. There is an ice cream parlour down the road which has so many different flavours. We will definitely be back soon.

A lovely week in a cosy, well-located cottage.

Plenty of room for the two of us plus our Springer Spaniel. Would also be fine for a family with 2 kids staying in the second bedroom. We’ve stayed in Benllech a number of times and it really makes such a great base while in Anglesey. Plenty of places to eat/drink/stock up on your doorstep, easy drive to the rest of the island plus Benllech’s own beach and coastal walks are fantastic. We’ll definitely be back again in future!

Well situated for exploring Anglesey.

The Bungalow is not ultra modern, but has everything you need - it’s comfortable, warm, clean, has a well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery, pans etc. The garden is secure for dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3rd stay here, and will probably be back again in the future.

Always nice and warm. Lovely garden for our shih tzu to explore. Location was great nearby pubs, restaurants, takeaways & supermarkets. Enjoyed the coastal path to Red Wharf, both beaches were lovely with golden sands.

There was a little debris outside the front of the property but i think this is being caused by the builders next door, assume this will disappear when the building work is completed shortly. Would def stay again.

A wonderful place to stay!

The house is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden was brilliant and safe for our dog to wander around in. It's only a couple of mins drive from the local beach whish is amazing for morning dog walks, and there's a well stocked Tesco and Co-op nearby. We're already planning our trip back next year.

The Salty Puffin was spotlessly clean and very spacious.

We really appreciated the fresh milk in the fridge and tea and coffee which was provided as we were gasping for a cuppa after our long journey. I would highly recommend the Salty Puffin and will hopefully be returning there in the near future.

Only one small hitch took dog and a gap in fence at the back right of garden, watched dog carefully whilst he was out, as typical for dogs he was more interested in this area lol. But he didn’t escape. I can’t tell you how relaxed we felt there a fantastic base to see the Island from and close to all amenities. Would definitely return.

Spacious, comfortable, well equipped and well situated for a peaceful break on the Isle of Anglesey. My hound and I loved it. It was my third visit to Anglesey and the nicest property I have stayed in thus far. Sadly, the weeks I would have liked next yar are already booked, but I hope to return in 2023.

Very comfortable holiday home very well equipped with everything you could need.

The beach is within easy walking distance but the way back is uphill a slight challenge for younger children. The garden is enclosed so safe for children and dogs a sun umbrella would help as it is a great lace for meals but can get very warm midday. Would definitely recommend it as a base for a holiday.

Lovely Cottage/Bungalow just far away off the main road,Everything was spot on Lovely Big Lounge with lots of seating Decent TV with Netflix & Youtube,Kitchen very large & clean with loads of seating and seperate Fridge & Freezer Decent Bathroom with great Shower & 2 Really good Bedrooms.

Garden was Huge with Sun all day and off rd Parking if we had 1 little little gripe was the Patio Door could sometimes be a little difficult to unlock(might have been us ☺) Overall a great week away in a lovely part of the world in a lovely cottage Walking to Benllech Beach took approx 10 mins

The cottage was in a peaceful location, everything we required was present to ensure we had a relaxing week, we would recommend the cottage.

Perhaps the only thing to mention is the walk to the sea front is down a fairly steep hill and could be challenging for some.

Spacious bungalow with a large rear garden.

Lucky to watch a red squirrel playing in the garden one morning. Lots to do in the area and plenty of shops and take aways in Benllech. Just a ten minute walk down to the beach and as a bonus we had good weather.

As mentioned by a previous holiday visitor the back garden is higher than the house and accessed by two different step features, which could be a disadvantage to mobile limited people.

It has the sun on it all day too. But the bungalow is superb for all facilities. The final sat nav directions are misleading. Once into Rhianfa (the main road on to the bungalow estate, you need to take first left into the cul de sac, not first right (which is a curve in the road) then left. The post code must cover the larger area. Parking in the drive is necessary as the cul de sac has a turning area in front of the bungalow. Would certainly visit again.

Although we are all living in difficult times, customers need to be treated with respect and as sensible adults.

Most people take great care when they are on holiday ,after all we have paid good money to escape a world where everyone is constantly being dictated to. This holiday provided an oasis of peace and relaxation .

Poor standard of cleanliness, particularly as we could not go in until 1700 to allow extra time for cleaning.

Cobwebs on wall and dust on bedside table in back bedroom, filthy skirting board in dining area, dirt down side of toilet. Signs of damp in back bedroom and round dining room windows. Gardens were unkempt with weeds growing out of patio and piles of dead leaves in corners of concrete area round house which didn't look as if it had been swept for some time. Branches overgrowing driveway brushed against car. Peeling paint on guttering and fascia boards. House had a general neglected look from the front. The grass was cut while we were there but didn't improve things much. The cottage was spacious and comfortable but needs a bit of tlc.

Very friendly owner who is helpful and lets you get on with your holiday.

Excellent bungalow in a very nice location at the end of the culdesac so noone goes past you on the road. Garden is big and has a nice area where you can sit by teh table in teh evenings or in the sun during the day. Overall we had a very nice two weeks and quite lucky with the sun. Very seasidey inside. Would recommend. Caution - dont feed the seagulls in the garden. Do this at your peril, as they are very bossy, especially when they have babies, so walking up the road they do tend to swoop down to frighten you off, but you do get used to it!. My advice would be to stick to going to Snowdonia, (get there before 9am) the beach if you either dont have a dog, or one that mixes with other dogs ok, as people tend to let them roam free without a lead and visit llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrngogogoch if you want to get any gifts, as gift shops on Angelsey are few and far between. The beach at Benllech is nice if you mix with others on a hot day but the shop there is pretty useless. Forget Holyhead, unless you want to experience a very old and once popular seaside town being made into a refuge for people who avoid work and spend all day drinking and visiting the sad funfair.... you have been warned!, such a shame to see so many old saeside locatiobns taken over the by sit on you backside brigade. Anyway, lovelly bungalow, best location, lovelly people, would recommend highly.

The house was excellent and we enjoyed our week but we would like to draw your attention to two areas.

For us the rear garden was not adequately described. Neither the photos or description showed the raised nature of this properly. We have a blind spaniel that is quite old and we had thought it would be nice for her to roam about the rear garden without her lead but this was not possible due to the high wall and steps. This had been a key consideration in our choice of the property. Secondly it may be appropriate to alert prospective customers about the glass doors to the lounge and kitchen which do not appear to be toughened. This did not affect us in any way but may be a concern to people with younger children if indeed they are not toughened. These comments are aimed at providing a better description of the property rather than any criticism of the comfort and overall high standard of the accommodation which are a credit to its owners. The situation at the end of the cul de sac also ensured a quiet and private stay.

Fully enclosed garden meant that it was safe for our Labrador to explore.

Lovely sun trap too, which meant that we were able to enjoy meals alfresco. Rooms bright, clean, lovely seaside theme running throughout the property. Ideally located, close to beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. By far the best property we have stayed at in Benllech which we have visited many times. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the salty Puffin , the photos don’t do it justice tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and sofas loved all the seaside themed pictures and furnishings and spotlessly clean .

The garden was lovely and well looked after safe and secure for our dog . Kitchen well equipped with almost anything you could think of . Milk in the fridge tea and coffee sachets and cake so we had something to keep us going until our online food shop arrived . Within walking distance of the shops and pubs in Benllech we had meals at the Breeze hill take a way from the Chinese and also walked to the ship inn at Red wharf bay for a meal all lovely and dog friendly . Overall the property was wonderful but just one comment, whilst we appreciate it was dog friendly and some dogs can be a touch whiffy, there was a rather extreme use of air fresheners and fabric sprays in the property which was quite overpowering.

Unfortunately I suffered from some sort of allergic reaction to these which did have a bit of a negative effect on my enjoyment of the holiday. Apart from that can't fault the property for cleanliness, warm, comfort and location.

Accommodation was exactly as advertised, very comfortable and well appointed a most enjoyable vacation - will certainly return Never did find the advertised games room or the Red Squirrel but the outside benches could do with a lick of paint, otherwise everything else was perfect Most enjoyable stay

The Bungalow was well equipped and had everything you need. Great location for exploring the beautiful Island of Anglesey. The resident Red Squirrel that came into the garden every morning was a highlight of our stay. Would recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Salty Puffin is an excellent property, it's spacious, cosy, clean and the owners have thought of everything and is tastefully furnished.

The property is in a small cul de sac which makes the location very quiet, the beach is a 15 minute walk away and the Town is well within walking distance too. A very good property and would highly recommend.

Salty Puffin was a fabulous little cottage, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Unfortunately the toilet seat was broken when we arrived and even although we reported this it was not attended to during the the holiday. We will still use Sykes as we have found the properties of a very high standard.

The bungalow was absolutely spotless and fully equipped, set in a very peaceful cul de sac and within easy walking distance from the beach, pubs and shops.

Good location and cozy pleasant bungalow, and thanks for the weather.

It was such a pleasure to come back to in the evenings after a day exploring the island.Benllech beach is just down the road and you can walk to Red Wharf beach will definitely recommend Salty Puffin to family and friends and will be booking another holiday there very soon.

The place was clean and cosy . Loved all the quirky beachy themed decor . Lovely touch leaving Bara Brith & butter. The owners had thought of everything. They even catered for the dog, blanket, bowl , doggy bags, although we had took our own. Nice spacious bungalow couldn’t fault it. The location was really close to everything too. Just off the main road in a quite cul-de-sac. Would definitely stay there again .

On arrival first impression was disappointing.

Footpaths front and back were very dirty. Toilet was blocked when we arrived and for the following two days and had to ring to get someone out to clear the drains..Kitchen floor was very dirty. Filter on the tumble dryer had not been cleaned out and was full of fluff and hair..Washing machine drum not been cleaned and had to redo a wash The laminate flooring in the living room was very dirty and lots of dog hair at the back of the tv unit. The corners of the living room were dirty and dusty with dead woodlouse. Overall cleaning standards very poor.
