Description

Newborough 4 miles.

An impressive, detached farmhouse, situated on a 5-acre non-working farm in open countryside, near the village of Brynsiencyn, 4 miles from Newborough on the delightful Isle of Anglesey.

Boasting lovely views across countryside and farmland, this wonderful cottage is the former home of the Sherriff of Anglesey, and records show that a dwelling has been located on the site as far back as 1330, plus in the adjoining fields there are ruins of old druid settlements.

The cottage has many character features, including original floor tiles in the entrance porch and a Rayburn stove in the kitchen.

The cosy sitting room at this Anglesey cottage has a woodburning stove, plus your holiday home also has a separate dining room with a seating area, a large and airy kitchen with dining area and five bedrooms spread across two floors, most of which have unspoilt country views.

A pleasant lawned garden provides a superb sun trap where you can relax and enjoy the wildlife and birdsong, or explore the surrounding countryside on foot.

With easy access by car to the Menai coast and Newborough beaches, this cottage is an ideal base for families and groups of friends.

We had a wonderful time at Tre Dryw when we stayed in October.

Vicky and Alan were so friendly and helpful and made us and our 3 dogs feel so welcome! The house was very comfortable and extremely well equipped and the fact that there was a wood burner in the living room was a big plus for us because our own home sadly doesn't have a wood burner. The secure outside area was great because it meant our dogs could run around without getting out. They weren't too sure about the pigs when they first met them but curiosity got the better of them and they seemed to enjoy checking on the pigs every morning, once they realised that the pigs weren't going to chase them. Anglesey is lovely and we were lucky with the weather as well, which added to the whole experience. The dogs are already hinting that they are ready for another trip to Ynys Môn to see their porcine "friends" again. All in all, we had a fantastic break and hope we'll be able to return to Tre Dryw again one day! Thanks very much to Alan and Vicky for making us feel so welcome!!

We really enjoyed our stay in the farmhouse.

It was fantastic for our 4 dogs and 3 children .There was lots of space for them to run around in when we wasn't out and about taking in the amazing island of Anglesey. It was well equipped and the dishwasher was a huge bonus for us . The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The farm house was immaculate and homely. Thank you for a wonderful week .

Our second year at the farmhouse and loved it just as much as the first.

The farmhouse is lovely with plenty of space for everyone and very clean. We were a family of 5 plus baby and dogs. Great garden for those days that are too hot to take the dogs and baby out. The location is ideal to reach all of Anglesey and only 10 minutes from Newborough beach and forest. I think the longest we travelled was 20-30 mins to some restaurants we wanted to visit and Beaumaris, which is always a must in Anglesey. Very peaceful only the sounds of the birds and pigs to ease you out of your sleep. Will be going back again next year once we have sorted our dates out. Thanks again Vicky and Alan.
