Tyn Towyn - Ty Glas Golau

The description of the property was accurate.

The vacuum cleaner was broken and I reported this to caretaker on the final day.

Lovely stay.

Great location with lovely fields surrounding, plenty space to park and really nice communal garden with own patio table. A few minutes walk to beach and centre. Cottage was very pretty, clean and comfortable and well equipped. And we liked being the end cottage. Window blinds a little tricky. Lovely welcome pack with cake and wine was appreciated. Would stay again.

The couch could do with an upgrade.

The lights in the kitchen living room are downlighters of which about half are blown. The windows are proper draughty the bathroom one in particular was blowing the blinds about.

Fabulous find had a wonderful break will hopefully return in the future

Love this complex and have been going for many years and hope to continue to do so.

Unfortunately the vertical blinds are no longer fit for purpose as most broken with many slats missing and have been like this for quite a few years. Light bulbs not working in bathroom and under cupboard light in kitchen. Really hope the management keep on top of these relatively easy to rectify issues.

Excellent property in great location, had a couple of small issues that were dealt with promptly and efficiently.

We've stayed in the cottage quite a few times now so we feel really at home.

It's always very clean and comfortable. The hob is a bit ultra modern for us but we don't do much cooking. Just one thing - the cottage sleeps 4 and the sofa is the only piece of furniture in the sitting area. Another chair perhaps?

A very nice house with everything you need in a holiday home close to the beach and local restaurants would definitely recommend looking forward to our next visit Roger & june

A really lovely cottage, very clean and cosy, it had everything we needed.

We took our Grandchildren aged 5 and 10, they loved the cottage too. Perfectly placed for a 5 minute stroll to the beach , everything was just perfect. I guess the only disappointment was the councils decision to close the public loos early, I understood they were open till end of Oct but we were there from the 28th. Other than that I have to say we will definitely aim to book, the same cottage again

This was our fifth time staying at the cottages, we love them.

The accommodation is so clean and comfortable and the outside area is lovely to enjoy and sit in the sun, so peaceful. Any minor problems are dealt with promptly. The cottages are only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants.

Beautiful cottage with a large private shared garden.

Gets lots of sun in the afternoon so you can relax after your day out. Perfect place to go cycling from or walking. Good kitchen facilities, although in need of a few more oven trays if you like to use the oven. Lots of storage both up and down stairs. Really good shower which was definitely welcomed after a long bike ride. Comfortable beds with TV in each room. Good wi-fi connection. We would definitely recommend this cottage for 2 people, not sure if you would be a little cramped if it was 4 adults staying there. Beach within walking distance. Good facilities close by. Has all the big supermarkets within a short driving distance. Local shops and cafes within walking distance, although they were very busy. Further back from the beach are other not so big cafes which were really nice. Worth visiting the South Stack cafe with it's beautiful views over the sea. Also worth a visit to the White Eagle pub which is around 3 miles away. Good beers, didn't try the food as a little expensive, didn't do sandwiches but if you want a good meal out, the menu looked really good. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

We have stayed in these cottages 5 times and love them.

They are clean, comfortable and in a perfect location just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. The courtyard is perfect, so peaceful to enjoy the sunshine!

Considering there were a caretaker on site not one of the blinds worked correctly or were broken.

some of the windows would not open.Light in bathroom not working.We had to by more toilet rolls and cleaning materials for bathroom .

This was the second time we've been to the cottage and again an excellent stay.

Superb weather and area. Will be booking again.

Love this place and this was not our first stay here.

The linen clean and white, kitchen including cupboards crockery and appliances, plus dining area were well prepared and clean However, other places with thick cobwebs, such as bedroom pelmets, below cupboard doors in bathroom, spindles on staircase, tv alcove and fireplace In addition there are still several slats of the vertical blinds missing In today’s market, with more holiday let’s in the bay, I think more attention to these details is required. Having noted these things, we do really love this location

The property is perfectly situated for access to the beach and for walking.

The cottage is situated away from the main road and this provides peace and quite from traffic. Our only critique was that there were minor issues with the fixtures, the bathroom could be updated as well as the dishwasher

The oven was difficult to use.

I suggest it is set up and ready Iintead of all the lights flashing. I had to ask another guest on the complex to start it for me - twice. Some of the blinds need fixing. But all in all a very nice property.

Cottage was very clean & tidy.

Easy walking distance to beach, shops and eateries. From this location we spent a week exploring Angelsey. Coastline, gardens and beaches are beautiful and family-friendly. Angelsey has a lot to offer from pre-historical locations to natural beauty. Although Holy Island is at the extreme edge of Angelsey the distances are not great to anywhere.

The cottage is lovely

This holiday property is in a very nice quiet setting very close to the beach,shops,and places to eat.

the cottage could do with new stools for the kitchen island as they are not very safe and very uncomfortable.every thing else was great and I really enjoyed watching the rabbits in the garden.

Our fourth visit to Ty Glas Golau and we enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time.

Comfortable, convenient and quiet with pleasant surroundings and outdoor space. What more could you want?

We loved the property and it’s location.

It was really quiet but so close to the beach and amenities. The only thing we didn’t like was having to eat all our meals at the kitchen island on bar stools. These squeaked so much we had to oil them so could do with updating. The rest of the cottage was very comfortable.

We have had really enjoyable stays several times at another cottage on the complex, and our first stay Ty Glas Golau was no exception.

Spotlessly clean and with everything you would need, it was really comfortable, lovely outlook into the courtyard with plenty of windows and light. The patio doors and outside areas to sit and the lovely fountain add that extra something. I had a senior moment at first with the key safe, (I was at the wrong door!) my fault entirely, and the very nice Laura on the phone at Sykes and the gentleman who came to help were both brilliant. Thanks to all concerned for yet another lovely stay.

There were a couple of small issues which were very quickly resolved.

This was our third stay in Ty Glas Golau.

It really is a home away from home. Comfortable cottage and very pretty surroundings. We will be back.

Lovely accommodation, close to the beach.

Nice and quiet in the evenings. Easy walk to nearest cafe. Main supermarket 10 minute drive. Great area for walking the coastal path routes. Could not fault it.

Superb location close to everything you could need.

Lovely cottage and beautiful grounds. Very well equipped shame the communal & laundry were not available due to COVID rules. Only thing required would be another arm chair as sofa rather narrow for three. Beds exceptionally comfy and rooms very cosy.

Mattress and pillow protectors would be more hygienic.

Great provision of kitchen equipment. It's a cosy cottage for 4 adults. Great location.

We did find it a bit chilly as you couldn’t adjust the electric storage heaters, it stated that they were set to be comfortable but in winter it needs to be a bit higher.

Also there was no extra bedding for the beds and the duvets were very thin, we did go out and by an extra blanket.

We have been going to Tyn Towyn Cottages for at least the last 7/8 years with Menai and now Sykes.

Cannot fault anything about them, love staying there and Kelvin the Caretaker and his Team are great, they will always be there on hand if needed! I think we are classed as one of Tyn Towyn Cottages best customers, lost count of number of times we have stayed but it will be on Menai's records. Back soon in the very near future hopefully! Brilliant holiday very comfortable quiet and equipped

This is the 7th Menai holiday cottage we've tried, the 6th time in this complex. (4different cottages) Every cottage maintains the same excellent standards. Everything you could need in the kitchen is there. Lovely quiet outdoor seating areas add to the pleasure of staying, and some fabulous restaurants in walking distance. Magnificent beach ....what more could you want...oh some sunshine...yes we got that 6 of the 7 days

A very well appointed modern cottage my wife was very pleased with the full size freezer which is not mentioned in the listed details.

The cottage is in a lovely location off road parking and an excellent complex. The facilities are excellent the laundry room was a very nice surprise. Lots of local eateries handy and a well stocked Spar shop a short walk away.

I put 'met expectations' above because we have stayed in the same cottage before and this time was just as enjoyable as the last.

We will definitely book here again because of the care taken in keeping everything spotless and comfortable.

This was our 10th holiday on Anglesey over many years and we've never stayed at the same accommodation twice.

But I think that is about to change! Ty Towyn - Ty Glas Golau was excellent, in a pleasant setting, and on a lovely part of Anglesey. Would highly recommend this self catering accommodation.

Cottage cosy in a quiet, excellent location.

Lounge area a little dated but comfortable. Not used to staying somewhere with large printed notices on walls! Hand wash in bathroom and kitchen would have been appreciated. Enjoyable short break.

Very good clean and tidy although the stove was a challenge a more basic model would have been better.

Wonderful accommodation - spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped.

Grounds and surroundings carefully maintained. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Quiet and peaceful location although only a stone’s throw from the beach. This is my third visit to Tyn Towyn and I’m already looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Menai and all the staff at Tyn Towyn for another memorable holiday
