Clean and welcoming cottage with superb views - we saw dolphins and submarines during our stay.

The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds even more comfortable than ours at home. We were thrilled with the prosecco and chocolates that were left by the housekeeper, especially as we celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst away! Enjoyed great trips to Inveraray and Otter Ferry. Weather typical of Scottish Summer - wet and overcast most days - but we were still able to appreciate the beauty of the scenery. The Blairmore Cafe is highly recommended - tasty food and very friendly staff.

A lovely property overlooking the lock and within easy driving distance to loads of destinations.

Well maintained and clean throughout. A small narrow seating area out front and gravelled back overlooked by a wooded hilly area. Dark on an evening with sensor lights on the house walls. For a dog owner the shared back didn't work for me. The drive up to it is open so I had to walk him on a lead. Theres a grassed area out front over the road,, so on a nightime I had to walk him there before bed. Overall a relaxing friendly area to spend a few days.

The house was just beautiful - even better than what the pictures suggested.

The living area was spacious and I loved the little nook with the armchair. We (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 and 7,plus a little dog) found there was plenty of space for all of us without being ontop of each other. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The views from the house were to die for and we spent hours by the fire just looking at the lights across the Loch. The kitchen was very thoughtfully equipped and so there was everything you could want for a weeks stay. Entrance to parking at the back of the house could be a little snug but we managed to get our pick up truck in without any trouble. There was a lot of activity out the front with people going to the cafe a few doors down but we didn't mind this at all as we enjoy people watching. We feel so lucky to have stayed here and were sad to leave. Thankyou for everything including the thoughtful touches such as the chocolate and milk on arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blairview.

The property was comfortable and well furnished. It is in a great location for exploring this part of Argyle. The neighbours were friendly, parking was easily accessible in front of the property and there are excellent views across the loch. There is a shop and sumptuous cafe virtually next door. For a quiet, chilled out stay this is the perfect retreat.

The house has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Location is perfect, very peaceful, but a short drive to the town of Dunoon, which has shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The view of Loch Long is fantastic, even when the sun isn't shining, it's stunning. There are plenty of outdoor activities to do nearby. A bonus is the amazing Blairmore cafe just a few doors away, fantastic food and genuinely lovely staff.

Blessed with unbelievably good Scottish weather this was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.

We had a lovely stay in Pier View.

We were accommodated at short notice and had a call from the owner to ensure our requirements were met. We arrived late and were delighted to find the Cottage very comfortable. The property was very well equipped and beautiful inside. Beautiful views of the water from inside and we loved seeing and hearing the birds out in the back garden. We didn’t have far to travel to visit other attractions but were actually quite happy to enjoy the comfort of the cottage itself. My four year old and seven year old enjoyed the books and we had plenty of room to have our own space too. Our thirteen year old loved the privacy in the smaller room as well as the views. We visited the community garden and beaches on walks with our dog which were also very nearby. We met the neighbours next door who were very friendly and we didn’t feel any intrusion. We also visited the local Strone Inn where we were made to feel very welcome. The weather wasn’t on our side for the few days we had but that didn’t hinder our holiday and we would love to visit again. Thank you again.

The property had everything we needed. It was quiet, comfortable and very relaxing. The neighbors were nice. The views were beautiful. The kitchen was kitted out better than my own. Would definitely stay here again. 10/10

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Pier View.

The views are outstanding and the log fire on a cold February evening was just so cosy! If we had to give constructive criticism, it would be that the house could benefit from a little updating including some garden maintenance when the weather allows, and perhaps some new pillows? The entire house was spotlessly clean and The Blairmore cafe a few doors down is well worth a visit.

We’ve just returned from an amazing stay at Pier View and can’t recommend it highly enough.

The accommodation was excellent, with comfortable beds and an extremely well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The views of the loch from the front of the house are truly stunning – we could have easily spent hours just gazing out of the window, soaking in the scenery. While the weather wasn’t always on our side, we still managed to enjoy some fantastic walks, both around the cottage and further afield. For anyone travelling with a dog, Pier View is very pet-friendly. This was our first time exploring this part of Scotland, and it certainly won’t be our last – we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The cottage is gorgeous and the attention to detail shows how much the owners care about their property and the comfort of their guests. The view over Loch Long from the lounge and front bedrooms is stunning and we enjoyed seeing the most amazing sunrises. There’s lots to see and do in the area and Blairmore itself is a delight.

Owners very helpful prior to arrival and during stay. Kitchen well equipped and good quality crockery, utensils etc. Clean, nicely furnished premises and plenty of space for 2 of us. Did have problems initially with the Wi-Fi signal affecting the tv and to a lesser degree emails but issue sorted itself out. Would recommend.

Perfect base for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Scotland.

The cottage was very clean, the bed was big and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The welcome book has some good ideas for trips if you're not familiar with the area, as well as local information. A very enjoyable holiday.

Easy access to numerous sights and attractions nearby but also suitable for quiet contemplation of the view, wildlife and bird population at hand.

Pier cottage was immaculate it was spotless could find nothing negative about this cottage and the welcome package was a lovely start to the holiday would definitely recommend

Never had a view that you are so constantly drawn to. Lovely neighbours. Really comfy bed. Lovely big snuggle seat. Great cottage. Fabulous forest walks. The sort of stay that makes you want to relocate to Dunoon. And particularly to that cottage. We both loved it.

Couldnt fault it as just the place to rewind.Well equipped and spotlessly clean.We never want to leave as the view is stunning no matter the weather. Welcome pack is a lovely touch by the owners and much appreciated.

Pier view is a lovely little house with everything that you will need in a home from home.

The views from the property are amazing and Mesmerising. There is plenty to see and do in the area too with walks and botanical gardens close by and not to far away from supermarkets and shops if needed. Would highly recommend if you just want to get away from it all and relax.

It is a beautifully presented and well equipped cottage in a stunning location with views you will never tire of. We enjoyed a glorious week in the delightful village of Blairmore where there is so much to see and do within easy reach locally and where everyone is so welcoming and helpful especially the neighbours.

Pier view is a fabulous cottage.

Extremely well equipped with great quality fixtures and fittings and spotlessly clean.Beds were so comfortable and views were outstanding.The log burner was a great feature on a cool evening too. We had a fabulous week.Weather was great.We had a trip on the waverley and a Piper played right outside the cottage! We seen dolphins and seals and even a submarine from the sofa! A bit disappointed the telescope(sadly not working) and the honesty box wine was not available as with our original booking but they were minor nitpicks.We wouldn't hesitate to book again and we are planning to stay later on in the year.we were all very sad to leave! Lovely well equipped cottage in an ideal place to explore the west of Scotland.

The beds were phenomenal!

The kitchen was extremely well equipped, as was the property with books and games etc. The facility to watch Netflix on the TV was also really handy. If I'm honest, the only thing that let the house down was the bathroom. The toilet seat issue (which I noted from the "issues notebook" has been around since 2019!) was irritating (especially as the downstairs toilet was out of action for our stay), however my main issue was the shower. For a property where luxury and comfort is obviously a priority everywhere else, the shower (and bathroom in general) really let it down. If it helps, I would have happily paid more for the property if the bathroom was the same standard as the rest of the house. Ooh, and while the stuff provided for our dog was terrific, it would have been even more so if we had known about it in advance so that we didn't also bring all of our own stuff!

We stayed for 3 nights at Pier View, had all we needed in the cottage.

Clean, warm, a ‘home from home’ and decorated for Christmas was a really good touch. Lovely welcome pack and card! Very mild for New Year but we still had a fire each night. Are amazing / cafe nearby great for breakfast. Walked to the trig point nearby and would recommend as the views were amazing.

I love staying at Pier View.

I can happily spend hours day on the sofa watching the water, looking up vessels on my phone app, watching folk go by. The cottage is warm and cosy, stylish and comfortable with everything you need so an easy place to be. Good neighbours and great cafe nearby for breakfast. I feel so rested after a week there.

Such a great location, lovely to sit and watch as the sun went down and moon came up!

It was lovely to find fresh flowers, a welcome pack, fire ready for lighting and things for the dog.

Pier View is a fabulous home in a great location for exploring Dunoon and the surrounding area.

From the minute that you arrive you feel relaxed. The view from the front windows is stunning whatever the weather. The house is tastefully and beautifully furnished with everything you need and more! The beds are extremely comfortable too. We really had a lovely holiday thank you.

!!!! Cottage location is beautiful with an amazing little cafe next door. The views are stunning.....we were lucky enough to see a submarine surface one morning as well as spotting the local seal. There are some amazing walks. Great access to Dunoon by regular buses and lovely beaches just up the road in Ardentinny. The cottage is beautiful with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Beds are super comfortable. Overall I cannot recommend this property enough and will definitely be back to in the future.

We had a great stay in Pier View, there is everything you need to make your stay stress free, if you cook your own food the utensils are great and the beds are lovely and comfortable.

The owners are very thoughtful even leaving a dog basket, blanket and bowl for your dog. Wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Lovely holiday cottage that is clean and fresh inside.

Excellent facilities and literally a home from home. The setting is stunning, looking out over the loch and surrounding hills with a morning coffee is my idea of heaven. Would definitely recommend.

A beautifully decorated and comfortable cottage with absolutely everything we required for our stay, even as far as supplying blankets towels and bowls for our dog.

The kitchen was particularly well equipped, which I was grateful for, as we had to do much more home cooking than we usually would on a holiday. The view from the sofa is frankly unbeatable. I found it hard to tear myself away most days. The location is perfect, quiet but with Dunoon not far away, and a convenience store at the petrol station close by sells all the essentials. Lovely walks to be had from the doorstep, plus access to the pebble beach and loch just over the road, which the children and our dog loved. We’ll definitely be back.

What a great place with an amazing view!

So peaceful and cosy, especially when the rain was lashing down outside. The cottage was very well furnished and the kitchen better equipped than most we’ve stayed in (and there have been some good ones). We also experienced our very first, and then second, sighting of a submarine from the comfort of the sofa.

Absolutely nothing the cottage was lovely clean well equipped may have liked a DVD player but everything else was spot on.

The Information book at the cottage was first rate and the kitchen appliances easy to operate.

The view from the front window was totally fascinating —shipping,submarines and birds! We saw huge cruise ships lit up as they sailed out of the firth. Bus stop at the door and a very interesting Gallery/cafe a step away plus very pleasant neighbours in wonderful scenery. We look forward to a return visit.

The road is busier than you would imagine so it's noisier than I expected it to be.

On the plus side the bus stops outside the house so it's easy to get places if you don't want to drive. The view from the window was endlessly fascinating. I saw sailing boats, a submarine, sea birds and seals all in the space of an hour. The bed was very comfortable and I was toasty warm on the cooler nights. The house was really stylishly decorated and furnished with thought given to the details. It was let down very slightly by a feeble shower jet and a wonky toilet seat - but not enough to stop me booking again!

Pier Cottage is well equipped, warm, comfortable and the views exceptional, truly a gem.

.a peaceful retreat, the neighbours were lovely and welcoming. We loved the siskins, goldfinch, seals and squirrels. The Botanic Gardens are worth a visit as is the Kilmun church and graves. Lovely coffee and home baking at the Gallery and picked up a few gems in the Glory Hole charity shop. WiFi excellent which was a strong requirement for my teenage son. The Pier just across the road is just idyllic, my son was learning to fish and the seal stole it which he just loved and didn't grudge it at all. No hesitation in recommending this property and location ....it is how life should be. Thank you for the welcome pack. We were 4 adults and one child and one husky. I would go back in a heartbeat x
