What guests are saying
It is a very well equipped and spacious cottage.
If you love nature and birds, this is the perfect place to be.
We loved our stay at Drover's Way in July 2026.
The cottage was perfect for our family of 3, and came with pretty much everything we needed to cook meals and entertain ourselves. We particularly loved seeing all the wildlife and it was so quiet here. We hadn't realised the amount of ancient history in this area what with ruined castles, hillforts, cairns, standing stones and decorated stones... and we only scratched the surface! We also managed a trip to Arran on the Claonaig to Lochranza ferry, and took the train from Crainlarich to Mallaig (and back) seeing lots of red deer and so much stunning scenery. Once it stopped raining we really appreciated the views from main bedroom and lounge of Loch Awe, and being able to sit on the deck for breakfast and evening meals/drinks. Note : this property is definitely off the beaten track, so it's a bit of drive if you run out of milk...but you'll get the best sleep with the stillness of the location and the super comfortable beds!
We had a really nice stay at Drovers Way.
The house was clean and cosy. The only thing was the long way to the mainroad. If we had known this, we problably had made another choice. We still enjoyed our week.
