Sunset Cottage was cosy and clean with a gorgeous view.

Great location for exploring the island. The whole family and the dog loved it. Saw lots of wildlife from the cottage. We already want to go back!

Beautiful cottage with a fantastic view but unfortunately i can’t rate it any higher as the cottage wasn’t clean there were dirty marks everywhere and cobwebs the bathmat was threadbare, my husband and myself slept in the single beds and they were terrible comfy enough but because they are on metal frames they were noisy every time you turned over it woke you up my husband got that fed up with it and slept on the sofa.

No handle on the bathroom window so unable to open it and the window in the main bedroom kept blowing open so we had to wedge things in just to stop it blowing open. Im not one to moan and feel awful as we met the owner and he was lovely but the cottage needs some attention I'm afraid to say. Every cottage we have stayed in before had a little welcome pack and bits for the dogs there was nothing here. Very disappointing and wasn’t cheap expected better

The instructions made it easy to find, it had a wonderful outlook and was clean and tidy. It has everything you need to a great stay and we felt at home there. We will definitely be back... if you will have us!

Sunset Cottage is in such a stunning location & has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

It’s a great position on the island for exploring other areas & for stocking up at the local Spar. The owner went out of his way to replace the dishwasher - thanks Donald.

If I decide to holiday again on Mull I would be searching for Sunset cottage again with a view to book it again

What a gem of a location and cottage.

Almost everything was provided for which made for a very pleasant and easy stay. The location was awesome, quiet and secluded, overlooking the Sound of Mull yet close enough to reach Salen and Tobermory easily. The Isle of Mull is beautiful and Iona is just ideallic. We'd love to return again some day.

We has a wonderful week on Mull and Sunset Cottage was perfect.

It was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Our two dogs loved the garden and my daughter and I enjoyed the fantastic views. A great cottage.

It was centrally situated for touring the island. The view over the Sound of Mull form the cottage was amazing. We had a great time and we hope to visit again.

Absolutely loved our stay in Sunset Cottage, so warm and cozy and a lovely view.

Loved feeding the birds, so many and different species came.Salen for shopping at the Spar was great and such friendly staff. Our holiday was so wonderful and relaxing we have booked to come again next year. Thanks for your helpful local hints in your file. Sorry about the electrician - I just don't check my emails whilst on holiday! However, thankyou for everything.

Comfortable clean and excellent location for our trip.

We saw an abundance of wildlife around the island and the scenary was splendid.

Had an amazing stay.

The cottage was very well equipped, had everything we needed. Location was just what we were looking for, central location for access to the island. The view over the sound of mull was fantastic from the full length window, which the dog loved nearly as much as us. The only disappointments being the WiFi was out which was rectified after a few days and the walk mentioned in the welcome pack up the hill behind the cottage was fenced off with a locked gate. Lots of wildlife sightings from the cottage, white tailed eagle, hen harrier, sparrowhawk and a pine marten on a trail camera left out one night. All my family had an awesome stay, thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sunset Cottage, fabulous views, warm and comfortable, great central location for visiting other parts of the island.

We had a wee problem initially with the Wi-Fi, but Donald came and fixed it and also gave us lots of useful info about Mull. The road up to the house is pretty rough and our mobile phone signal was weak, but that didn’t spoil our holiday.

Excellent location, good views, comfortable accommodation for 4 people.

We hope to book the same cottage again.

We have stayed here in these cottages several times now. We keep coming back so we must enjoy it and the cottage must be good! Looking forward to coming back soon.

Which was very well equiped and in a stunningly beautiful location. Perfect.

The internet is very poor - this should be explained in advance.

Items that we asked for we not provided and absence of mobile signal at the cottage meant it was not possible to make contact. The double bed is very firm and uncomfortable. Cleaning is patchy.

Disappointed as when it rains cottage water supply turns brown and remains so for several days.

Sunset cottage is extremely well equipped, all the white goods are of a very high quality - and all worked well.

The view from the lounge is breath taking and to be there in warmer times must be great in order to make use of the garden furniture - unfortunately we visited in November! We may return in the spring of next year.

Having never been to Scotland I thought the island of mull was lovely and the cottage was in a beautiful place.

This was our first Sykes cottage and we have been really impressed with the whole process from start to finish.

Booking was straight forward, payment was uncomplicated and arrival instructions were clear. The cottage itself was as described and we had a good week using the cottage as a base to explore the island.

This cottage had the best outlook ever, very comfortable perfectly placed between Craignure and Salen the spa bath was a luxurious extra

We loved the excellent view of Fishnish Bay, the surrounding wildlife, the friendliness of all concerned and the peace.

Sunset Cottage is wonderfully situated for exploring Mull. Our dog, Polly, felt at home and enjoyed the variety of walks. We can't wait to go back.

Sunset cottage is positioned up a hill giving great views over the Sound of Mull and far enough back off the main road to be very quiet.

Overall good location for exploring various parts of Mull and not too far to get into Salen or Craignure for a bite to eat if you want to eat out.

This cottage is a delight.

We had a fantastic week in Sunset Cottage.

Ideal spot to base yourself for touring all areas of Mull. Cottage has everything you require including a awesome view of the Sound of Mull .

The cottage is in an excellent location and is equipped well enough.

The only issue we had was that we found the bed uncomfortable. The living room with the log fire is nice and cosy on the colder evenings. The views are very relaxing and when you get a sunset, its very picturesque. I would recommend staying here.

This is a very comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring the island with fantastic views over the Sounds of Mull if in the area again would certainly look to rebook this cottage.

We had a fabulous stay at Sunset Cottage.

The view is amazing and ever changing. The Cottage just suited us and had everything we needed for the two of us and our 2 pooches. It is well equipped and very clean. The enclosed garden was a godsend for the dogs too. Can not recommend this Cottage highly enough.

With a few tweaks this property could be outstanding.

..however, it does have many wonderful facilities such as the wood burning stove which makes the lounge very cosy. The location was amazing & it was an easy drive from the ferry terminal.

The view from the front of the cottage is fantastic.

Picnic table and seats on the lawn. Everything we needed was there. Bob didn't like the look of the big stainless steel chimney thing leading from the wood burning stove up through the ceiling. He thought it was a bit ugly. We didn't need to use the stove as the underfloor heating was highly efficient - too warm at times but we didn't alter the controls, just opened a door! Plenty of storage in the bedrooms. We hope to return to this property on our favourite island.
