Stayed here before, lovely, clean and quiet.

We had a very great stay in Cook’s flat, the rooms were large with a pleasant comfortable decor and everything we needed.

Access and parking were easy and a great bonus was that anyone who stays is able to walk and enjoy the lovely grounds of the estate. The shared games room was a plus for an evening too. We found the location great for walking inc Pontcysyllte aqueduct and for exploring Chester.

Had a wonderful stay at Cooks Flat, driving through the gates along the drive to the house was lovely, the flat was peaceful & had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

I visited a lot of attractions locally & I wasn’t short of places to go, the hardest part was leaving to go home. I’d highly recommend, I’d happily come & stay again as it was such a lovely place.

The propery was very quiet as it was set back a long way from the main road, which was ideal for us

Cook's Flat was a great find in Wrexham!

What a treat to stay on a private estate surrounded by beautiful acreage and opportunity for walks on the property. The Victorian Kitchen and Games Room were also a unique feature. Many thanks to the hosts for the welcome gifts and kind hospitality. I would gladly stay again the next time I'm in the area.

We enjoyed our stay the flat was very well equipped and very comfy .

We did feel a bit disappointed in the sitting out facilities just being at the door and beside the cars . I felt that it was in a garden because of the listing . Also whilst there was a walk a lot of it was private which wasn’t really stated in the advert

Cefn Park Estate and Cooks Flat were absolutely amazing.

Such a relaxing stay the flats amenities were amazing. It was so lovely to stroll through the expansive grounds. The Victorian Kitchen and games room were very interesting indeed The bed was so comfortable a big thank you from Linda & John to all involved in running the estate especially to the housekeeper who was very helpful. Thank you for such a relaxing and interesting stay.

What a stunning place to stay full of period rooms the games room and the Victorian kitchen are amazing .

The estate has some lovely walks look for the highland cattle they are stunning ,or play croquet on the lawn or a game of tennis.the owners Archie and Phillipa are so nice and very helpful if you have any enquiries,will definitely be returning to this beautiful place

Thanks to the Interwebs for directing us to the Cooks Flat, It's just a perfect stay , we're so glad we had a perfect stay , oh such a perfect location , glad we made a perfect stay with you.

Ten days of perfecting the perfect break, Misses didn't miss she fluked the pink and black not once but twice but still the perfect stay,,, perfect weather for 300 miles of cycling to boot.

Excellent accomodation,short distance from main road but would never know, quite and secluded.

However biggest plus factor was friendly and helpful advice from the owners and general helpfulness of the estate staff

The estate offers walks in an outstanding setting. Peace and quiet all the way.

We loved our week in Cook's Flat.

A privilege to stay in such a beautiful and historic place. We had a fun night in the games room, listening to some of the vinyl collection and playing pool on the snooker table! It was a cold week but the flat was always warm, we turned off the radiator in the living room every time we lit the fire. Comfortable and well equipped. The directions and check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. Had it been warmer we would have loved to explore more of the grounds, but it was still lovely for a quick walk in the mornings, saying hello to the ponies and Highland cattle.

We had a great time and we were impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and all the amenities in the apartment.

Literally everything was there. We are used to bring coffee, tea, kitchen and toilet paper, but everything was supplied for. Wonderful property!

Absolutely loved this place, would definitely go back, we both rated it a 10/10 The games room, the log fire, the tennis court, the wine they leave, it was all so lovely

Cooks flat is comfortable and well appointed accomodation in a wonderful peaceful rural setting.

Being part of a large country house and estate it has an ambience that is hard to create. Ideal as a base for touring that area of Wales and into Cheshire. We would definitely revisit if in the area again.

The property was lovely and bright and clean and had all the facilities u needed for a holiday and more it was situated on amazing grounds where you could explore and was so peaceful for you to enjoy a relaxing holiday and the flat was situated where you could explore lots of places our favourite was llogollen it was a little gem we had never been to before well worth a visit

What a wonderful setting you have, so peaceful and amazing facilities. We loved looking around the Victorian kitchen and it is definitely a rival for Erddig House! We loved the area, there is so much to do and we also got to spend time with relatives who live nearby. All in all a perfect holiday, so thank you. The Cook's Flat was a lovely place to stay.

Conveniently right on the edge of Wrexham for all it's facilities, but also within easy reach of beautiful countryside, NT properties, castles, walks, Chester. We loved our stay and would recommend it as a restful and beautiful place to stay.

The flat was immaculate and the facilities were spot on. Philippa was really friendly and helpful. We especially loved the games room with a fantastic range of vinyls which we enjoyed listening to, whilst playing snooker. The apartment was a great base for visiting Llangollen, Chirk Aqueduct, Chester etc. We have already recommended the flat to our friends.

My husband and I spent a week at this wonderful property for our 5th wedding anniversry.

It had everything you could need and wasn't far from Wrexham and Chester city centres. The grounds were wonderful to walk round and there is Highland cows on the estate. Would definitely recommend.

We struggle to get the heating in the main Lounge to work effectively but other than that it was a really great place

Cook’s Flat is lovely.

Beautifully furnished, comfortable, and with everything you could possibly need. Cefn Park is wonderful, and the opportunity to walk round the Estate and see the magnificent cows is a privilege. The location is perfect for Llangollen, Erddig and Chirk Castle, but also for staying in and relaxing. We had a wonderful week, and would thoroughly recommend it.

This property was simply amazing.

The flat was wonderful, spacious, and perfectly clean. Everything had been considered, and the general property's facilities were also amazing. We loved the hand-drawn map that guided us on our walks around. The information folder in the flat was (yet another) great touch... ensuring we had the best stay. Highly recommend, and will stay again!

Our stay in Cook's flat at the end of October was just as we'd expected as we'd previously stayed in Butler's flat.

We wanted to come back and enjoy a log fire in a cosy quiet getaway. The owners are very helpful and are keen to make their guests feels comfortable and at home. We explored the estate again, and were given permission to pick some apples from the trees. These have made delicious apple cake and apple crumble. The flat is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you need plus a dishwasher to make life easy. Definitely worth the trip to visit this place to get away from the noise and hustle and bustle.

Cooks flat is amazing.

We stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The apartment is beautiful with a real fire too. It has everything you need for your stay. The grounds of the estate are beautiful. It was like staying at a National Trust building but at a fraction of the cost. It is close to all amenities. 30 minutes to Chester. We will definitely be going back. You won't be disappointed

Very clean with everything we needed. We didn't see the hosts, however we didn't need to as everything was available with perfect instructions.

Nice touches on arrival e.g. bottle of wine, milk and biscuits. The accommodation was really clean and amenities were ample. Location to local attractions were easily accessible and enjoyable. I had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again

The photo is deceiving.

The front of mansion in not accessible for you. There is a small entry door on the back of property and that is how you enter. It would make more sense to delete this photo from the advert as this is a private area and you have to ask permission to enter. Also the back garden is not accessible either. You can walk around few fields but not the easiest map to show you where is private land. There is a bad smell in the bathroom which was there for the whole of my stay.

Cook's Flat is a lovely apartment in a gorgeous building.

It comes with all the luxuries you could need and we were even treated to some welcome gifts! The rooms are clean and spacious and we had no complaints at all. The estate offers peace and quiet and includes fields with a picnic table, a games room, a beautiful Victorian kitchen and a walled garden with a croquet field. Walking around, you would not know that you're so close to Wrexham as it is so quiet and green. We will happily come back to try the Butler's Flat someday.

Our first time staying in a beautiful manor house and we've loved every minute of it.

Cook's Flat had everything we needed for home comfort plus more. The games room was fab and we loved listening to the albums on the vinyl player and the welcome wine, biscuits and milk was a great treat on arrival. We managed a trip to Llangollen, Lanndudno, Conwy and a gorgeous day out in Chester and even managed to brave storm Francis at Betswycoed! Can definitely recommend food at the Cross Foxes. Thank you for making our visit perfect.

We've absolutely loved our stay!

The flat is wonderful, so homely, comfortable and chic. We loved exploring the grounds, seeing the cows and enjoying the history of the place. The games room was a favourite! And what a gorgeous room it is. The log fire was in use every night too! Philippa and Archie, you have been so helpful with information as have the staff here. We will hopefully be back to do the things we ran out of time for! Thank you very much!

The apartment was set out nice, lots of room and a relaxing energy (The other half was a big fan of the comfy bed).

The surrounding farm and walks were brilliant and gave a real sense of the countryside charm we longed for on our escape. A particular asset was the high walled lawn half way around the estate that was a perfect place for a picnic on summers evenings. The downstairs kitchen and games room were a lovely addition although I personally didn't spend much more than 5 minutes in each. The guest WiFi struggled and was measured at 2mb, Not a big issue for us personally but something to note. The main issue with the property was the smell of the bathroom, it stunk, I don't know whether the septic tanks are the issue but something needs rectifying. There was no bleach, washing up liquid, foil, laundry detergent or firestarters/matches for the candles. Little items that would have simplified our stay and would definitely increase satisfaction for future guests. There were also a rather unfortunate pair of woman's underwear found under the curtains on our first night stay, not really an issue we quickly disposed of them and it gave us something to laugh about. Overall though a satisfying stay, it doesn't take much to please us, I would recommend to someone if those issues stated were rectified.

Lovely cosy apartment in beautiful surroundings.

We had a peaceful relaxing week at Cooks flat and enjoyed walks and picnics around Cefn Park estate. The apartment itself is very tastefully furnished with lovely period features, it still has the servent bell handles next to the fire places. The restored Victorian kitchen downstairs is well worth a look, a real piece of history. Chester is close by as well as a few national trust properties and a perfect location for exploring further in to Snowdonia.

Very convenient for lots of tourist venues.

Apartment was very comfortable apart from the settee which had seen better days. The hosts had kindly left milk, biscuits and wine etc. which was appreciated and the flat was well equipped. Parking for car. Access was through the rear of the building not via the front as implied in the photo.

The flat is beautifully presented and is set in beautiful and tranquil grounds.

The flat is well presented, has everything you need and is in a lovely setting. The flat is very private and peaceful with walks around the estate and a short drive to shops in Wrexham.

Conveniently located for touring the Llangollen area.

Walks around the estate was a daily pleasure. There was a feeling of being in the country as the Highland Cattle welcome visitors with their presence. Cook's flat has all the convenience of home and just the right size for a couple.

Hosts incredibly helpful.

Estate is wonderful to explore. Location makes you feel like you're in a great private world when in reality the shops and pubs are minutes away. The people involved with the estate proved to also be very welcoming and friendly. Already planing return trips! One of those rare places I want to keep quiet so it doesn't get booked up ;-)

Cooks flat cannot be described as first class.

Although essentials are clean eg bedding, towels, dishes - could do with a good spring clean to get dust out of corners, cobwebs off windows. Also no wardrobe for hanging clothes. Small improvements which would not cost much would be a small clothes airer, a stool in the bathroom and a toilet roll holder. I think the games room was last in use during the war! Apart from that enjoyed the peace and quiet and the good weather.

Cooks Flat is warm, Comfortable and relaxing.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is a great base for Chester and North Wales. We had a great time and would book again the open fire was a massive hit with us!!!

Lovely flat , set among farm land and great grounds and views.

Ideal location for getting out and about touring around the very scenic countryside. Chirk Castle is a great trip out.

The cooks flat offers more than the average stay.

The superb grounds, and a feeling of belonging to the Manor House made it a lovely , magical stay. The family are very approachable and friendly . A very good location:)

We loved being able to enjoy the estate property from the well marked footpaths.

The owner stopped by to chat and check in with us. Everything in the flat was just spotless, and we slept in great comfort each night. The location couldn't be better for the long list of sites to visit! We highly recommend Cook's Flat!
