"Lovely apartment with all of the comforts of home - except my motorcycle!"
Weather not good all week, but having visited Carbis Bay almost every year for over 30 years, interesting to see the changing colours and atmosphere of the seascape. Strange to think that we will remember this holiday more then others, not for the holiday itself, but more for the loss of Queen Elizabeth II. We will always remember where we were on Thursday 8th September 2022.

"Bed seems small, not sure it is kingsize (as advertised)."
Floor was not clean when we arrived, cleaner came back within mins of us calling and cleaned floor thoroughly. No coffee pods supplied as advertised. This all made for slightly disappointing start to our holiday but generally the property was very comfortable, well equipped and good location.
Sorry for the inconvenience of the floor cleaning. We can confirm the bed is definitely King Size. Due to Corona virus coffee pods had to be removed unfortunately the website was not updated. Property Owner

"Apartment was very very nice, everything you could ask for and the garden was a great bonus."
Not absolutely spotless when we arrived, nothing terrible but could have been cleaned more thoroughly.

"Thank you for such a great holiday!"
We loved everything about the house. Great weather and lovely people to meet. Thanks again, see you again.

"A fabulous stay at Beach Haven, we were very lucky with the weather."
Carbis Bay beach is lovely & peaceful, a great spot to dip your toes! Being so close to the train station is very handy for trips into St Ives & eliminates the search for a parking space. You can also do the lovely coastal walk that offers some fantastic scenery. The apartment is like home from home, it has everything you need making it very comfortable. Decorated beautifully. We've had a great week! Thank you.

"A great stay as usual thanks."
However upon departure I had cause to move the dresser in the double bed bedroom with the ensuite. something had rolled off the top and underneath. There was thick dust on the top of the skirting. Also, on stripping the bed in readiness for our departure, there was again a fair quantity of dust between the headboard slats... and the floor under the bed held a fine layer of dust which could only be seen when the sun shone through the window at certain times of the day - if you were looking that is- in all the above cases it was obvious that attention had not been paid to this over several cleans and given that we lost most of our booked first day in order that a 'covid deep clean' could be paid attention to, it was obvious this had not been done. There were a few crumbs of food in the kitchen wall cupboard too, right of fridge... Clearly NOT a deep COVID clean that we experienced when we stayed in White Sails the previous October (2020). Also, the towel radiator in the ensuite bathroom did not work at all... The front entrance door had swollen too and scraped the frame as it was opened and closed. The noise of this may disturb other tenants? Other than this, I would say the stay was fine, the apartment well equipped and comfortable. We would stay with you again without question, but probably not this particular apartment given the cleaning. I am asthmatic and dust is one of my lesser triggers so a clean and dust free environment is something I would be looking for, particularly around a bed area. We brought along our Dyson personal air purifyer for the very purpose of extracting dust from the atmosphere whilst we slept. I have photo evidence of the dust I spoke of if you are interested to do something about it for your future clients.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it is very important to us that all of our guests have an enjoyable stay. Please rest assured that all the cleaning issues you have highlighted have been addressed, if there is any concerns at all during your holiday please feel free to give us a call on 01736 630015 (option 2) for us to assist you. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

"Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday."
This is such a lovely apartment, perfectly positioned to make the most of some of the most beautiful beaches in the south west. We reccommend swimming in the sea at carbis bay, it is cold but so worth it. Its been a magical week for us - who would have thought we would be wearing sandals and shorts in October.

"Fantastic weather and walking."
The little beach cafe at Porthgwarra is well worth a visit. Gwithian is brillliant for body boarding and viewing the seal pups at Godrevy is always a treat.

"Hello I'm Daisy, I really enjoyed my stay."
I love the coast walk to St Ives and i thought the beach was lovely- we went there everyday. The view was beautiful out of the windows and we took lots of photo's. The weather was lovely - even when raining. I think the apartment is an extremely nice place to call home for a week and we would love to come back. The apartment was beautifully decorated with paintings and pictures - i love art! We had a lovely week and are sad to go back home

"We have had a lovely week here in Beach Haven despite the weather."
The apartment is beautifully presented and comfortable and we were very happy to have sky tv, when the wind and rain drove us indoors. Carbis Bay is a great place to stay. We recommend The Gannet pub for its food and the Sands restaurant for Sunday lunch. The walk to St Ives is lovely, but its great to catch the train too.

""This is the second time we have stayed at The Sands and “Beach Haven” was fabulous."
The location is excellent with a short walk to the train station and within 5 minutes you’re at St Ives. The Beach at Carbis Bay is beautiful and luck was on our side as we had glorious weather all week. The apartment has everything you will ever need and was extremely clean and well looked after. Beach Haven ticks all the boxes - the children loved the outside grass area; my husband loved the SKY TV with all the channels and I loved the fact that I come home with hardly any washing! The Housekeeper (Kim) was wonderful and responded instantly to any queries. I can’t thank her enough as she even posted a few items to our home address that had been left by the children. I can highly recommend Beach Haven apartment and you will not be disappointed. This is an amazing place to stay. See you soon! The Beardmore Family x"
