Lovely sized two bedroom flat, spotlessly clean, great location to Carbis Beach.

The flat itself is a great size with en-suite for the main bedroom. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony chilling as it’s so quiet with lovely views out over towards St Ives.

A lovely, light and spacious apartment.

Brilliant location as only 10 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the train station. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Smoke detectors out of date could not unlock lounge door to balcony fridge needs checking temp plus oven need turning right up

We absolutely loved our stay at Gwinear.

The view was stunning. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay again.

The accommodation is as listed.

There were a few minor items which could have been cleaner. One of the very large mugs has a big chip out of it. The shower in the family bathroom stopped working, but was replaced two days after it was reported. The toilet lid kept coming off, but was repaired the same day and we were told would be replaced by a new one ASAP. The AV description said that BBC iPlayer was available which turned out not to be the case.

Great accommodation, very convenient for the train or walk into st.

Ives. Comfy beds and everything we needed. Welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Fantastic views. Hope to return.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön gelegen mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Accommodation is nice in a good location was very clean .

Tumble dryer did not work. Feel people should be let in earlier to accommodation as most people have driven a long way and you pay for the whole week but lose two days by only being allowed in at 4pm and out by 10am !! Welcome packs should be provided use to be but this holiday there wasn’t one.

This was my third year of staying here.

The accommodation is always clean, has everything I need and a perfect location for me. Already looking to book for next November

We had a wonderful stay at Gwinear.

The apartment is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. The beds are comfortable with blackout blinds in both bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was even a little bit of milk, dishwasher tablets, laundry pods and toilet paper on arrival. The only suggestion would be to leave a little soap in the bathrooms and to have an empty cupboard in the kitchen to store groceries. We have stayed at a few of the other apartments in these buildings, and this was by far the most comfortable.

We had superb time there .

: Excellent position beside the station especially for visitors without transport.

Bed very comfortable. Needs some TLC.Cleaning was poor. En-suite shower very small, difficult to bend down. Water didn't drain away and fearful water would run over rim of tray. Sealant and grouting around bottom of shower was filthy.Balcony mucky with weeds growing and uncomfortable chairs.Cushions on settee and armchairs were filled with feathers, miserable for people with allergies.Underneath of armchair seat pads dirty, didn't appear to have ever been cleaned. Apartment not up to 4 star standard.Not to standard of CARBIS BAY HOLIDAYS when we have visited previously.

Das war von sehr vielen Ferienwohnungen die bisher schönste.

Sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber, tolle Lage, Parkplatz vorhanden. Kurzer Weg zum Strand und zu dem kleinen Bahnhof. Wir haben uns 2 Wochen (bei tollem Wetter) sehr wohl gefühlt.

This property was lovely or so we thought at first .

It was clean , well equipped ( although there was no bath plug , this was put right ) and well situated with beautiful views of Carbis Bay . All good , you might think . That is until you factor in the people and very large german shepherd dog permanently living in flat 10 directly below the flat 11 holiday let. Front the first evening we were forced to listen to their televisions on so loudly that we could not hear ourselves speak - seriously and this went on every day and night . Next came 6/6.30 am repeated door slammings over and over . Then during the evenings we had a nice little game lasting over an hour at a time called - bounce a tennis ball or similar on the laminate flooring throughout their flat OVER AND OVER AND OVER for the very boisterous , very large german shepherd dog . We had NO PEACE what so ever whilst we stayed in this property which was not a cheap holiday let by any means and had a completely ruined break that we had looked forward to and needed for a long time . There is absolutely no way that the owner of Gwinear ( flat 11) does not know about this and we would never have rented this holiday let had we had any inkling of what waited for us . We want to ask Sykes and the owner for a refund for our ruined Christmas break . Please get back in touch with us asap . Mrs Heather Saunders

A lovely apartment.

Nice and clean. Cosy and warm when need be. Super views. It would be nice if there were black out curtains instead of a blind in the bedroom. Don't know why the building is floodlit. Could a small carton of milk be left in the fridge? We had a very long journey, 11 hours! So needed a coffee.

Ideal location right next to Carbis Bay Train station.

popped into St Ives a few times, just as well as the streets are not car friendly and parking is limited. Excellent views from the apartment over Carbis Bay. A smart, reasonably sized apartment in a quiet area. The goodies left by Carbis Bay Holidays were a nice touch. Apologies for not leaving a comment in the Visitor's Book as I did not have a pen. The weather was overcast and misty for the first couple of days but was brighter for the rest of the week. Great weather for October, to be fair. I will definitely consider returning to Carbis Bay again, an excellent base for exploring the area.

Apartment generally clean and tidy on arrival.

One of the freezer trays were dirty and a few hairs in bathroom. Apartment in an ideal spot for walking coastal paths and beaches and train. Could do with some new soft towels and new furniture on the balcony. Overall a lovely place to stay

Perfect apartment, spotless, very thoughtful arrival gifts.

Perfect location

Excellent as always - though bedroom TVs are NOT smart TVs.

Also a few small things need looking regards repair - shower door in en suite not properly attached at top, floor tiles in kitchen cracked and need replacing, lounge door lock to balcony very stiff. Many thanks - see you next year :)

We really enjoyed our stay.

The flat was lovely and in a convenient and attractive location. We would definitely recommend the property to others and would stay again.

From the moment we arrived we were so impressed how clean and very well equipped the apartment was,hugely spacious and smelt fresh and clean.

A nice touch with chilled apple juice and chocolates. The views were splendid and we heard No noise from the building site from over the way. We shall definitely be booking again and we've noticed how booked up this apartment is.. Thank you for accommodating us Skye cottages a 10/10 hoilday :)

Absolutely fantastic.

We have nothing bad at all to say. The apartment was amazing. The views were stunning.

The property provided a good base to explore some of Cornwall.

It would, however, have been good to know about the building works that were going on outside the property as it was noisy and disruptive on occasions. Had we known about the works, we may not have booked that particular property. There was also an outside light that stayed on all night and shone quite brightly into the property which was a little annoying when trying to get the children off to sleep.

We had a great stay at Carbis Bay and would definitely stay in this property again in the future. It had wonderful facilities and it was in a fantastic location

The apartment is in the perfect location with an easy walk down to the beautiful Carbis Bay Beach.

Very well appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Stunning views from all the windows. We will definately return, and whole heartedly recommend.

The facilities in the apartment were good quality.

It was a shame that the cleaning upon arrival was fairly poor and we had to clean the kitchen, chairs and floors ourselves. Great location, right next the the station, coastal path to St Ives and a short walk to the beach. Ideal for anyone wanting to be in the centre of Carbis Bay, but need to be fairly mobile due to local hills and a few steps up to the apartment.

Another lovely stay in Gwinear.

Great location and apartment has everything we needed, unfortunately the apartment wasn’t as clean as last year, the floors seemed dirty and the windows had handprints and marks on them. Also there was no mention of the building work that would be going on. We were woken up every morning before 8 by noisy diggers and builders. Such a shame!

There was a large scale construction project happening directly in front of the apartment so we got to wake up to the sound of heavy machinery, beeping and hammering every morning.

Also we both noticed after a few days how dirty our socks were going into the wash, the windows in the living room were covered in hand marks. The TV service kept getting interrupted every few minutes making it impossible to watch anything.

Accommodation is spot on in superb location

"We have had a brilliant holiday in Gwinear Carbis Bay with our two grandsons Jack and Oscar. The superb beach is a short walk away and the sea is an amazing turquoise colour. The accommodation was first class and could not be faulted, with sea views of St Ives to the west and Lelant to the east. Close to the railway station with regular trains to St Ives along the picturesque coastline."<br/>Cheryl Coles

A lovely apartment in a great location

"We loved Gwinear apartment. It is in a good location with a great view. It was spotlessly clean and very well stocked. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the white towels lovely and fluffy. Also, the welcome gifts were much appreciated. Carbis Bay and St Ives are beautiful and we loved Cornwall. It is only a short walk from the apartment to the train station to get a train into St Ives and only costs £1 each."<br/>Diane

Relaxing break in lovely location

"The apartment was spotlessly clean and well appointed. It is in a very convenient location being close to Carbis Bay beach and the coastal path to St Ives one way and Hayle the other way. The train offers transport both ways too at a very reasonable cost and provides excellent service with trains running every half hour. The apartment had everything we needed. It was light an airy with views of the coast. Riveria apartments are about 35 years old but the accommodation had recently been modernised and had parking which is a real bonus."<br/>Lizzie Cook
