"Light in Hall and Landing not working, dangerous and should have been checked before our arrival."

Bathroom light within extractor fan again not working and should have been checked, it does light briefly if you hit it. Outside light although sensored does not come on unless touched so little use on a dark external staircase. Carpets very stained and poorly fitting which is a trip hazard. Grout/sealant in shower grim. One window doesn't open as per the welcome notes. I appreciate we could have got bulbs sorted if we had called whilst there, but we don't want contractors there during our stay. Also a 12 Tog quilt as the only bed covering in August is crazy. Nowhere external for full rubbish bags. We fully appreciated the place would be very small and had no problem with that, but condition falls well short of expectations given the pricing. Its only saving grace is however the convenient location.

Thank you for your feedback after your stay at Seagulls Nest. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the lightbulbs until after your check in, otherwise, these would have been sorted as a matter or urgency. We appreciate that you do not want any local trades to attend, therefore, this has been looked into after your departure from the property. After recently taking over the property, the owners are pleased to confirm that a major refurbishment is due to take place at the property in the winter months. We would love to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Kind Regards, The Team at Carbis Bay Holidays. Property Owner

"We had a lovely stay at the property, however there were a few minor things we felt could be addressed that would have made the stay better."

The light in the hallway didn’t work, which made coming home in the dark tricky navigating the stairs. The main light in the bathroom also didn’t work, so we had to use the small light over the mirror. The Velcro for the removable black out blinds was partially missing on one window so wouldn’t stay up. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay and would look to book again if we come back to St Ives.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback after your recent stay. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and would look to come back, we would be thrilled to welcome you again. The bulbs were checked prior to your arrival but we are sorry to hear these proved difficult during your stay. We will ensure to get this sorted going forward and thank you for bringing it to our attention. For future experiences, please do always contact us on 01736 630015 and the local team alongside the owners will do our best to resolve the points as soon as possible. Once again, thank you for your constructive feedback. Best Wishes, The Team at Carbis Bay Holidays. Property Owner

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!
