The house is huge and although this place is pretty its very hilly. Thank you.

  • "The building looks a little tired from outside on arrival and the pictures of the property make the beech look a lot more accessible for my kyacks."

The shower head needs changing in the downstairs bathroom and an outside umbrella would be expected but the views were unbelievable and we all slept very well. Overall the house was a little tired looking compared to the photos but having said that we enjoyed the holiday and property and just giving a little feedback for future visitors. Thank you

Thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your constructive comments, these have been taken on board and reported to the necessary departments to look into. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "This property has outstanding views, very spacious, however the interior is not up to standard for the high price asked."

For example large stain in main bedroom, one cupboard in kitchen for you to put food in, other cupboards o full of assorted items, not needed and stacked awfully. Lacking large forks and dessert spoons, 3 egg cups!!!, no salad bowls, Wobbly toilet seat in main bathroom, light shades in downstairs bedroom need replacing, various bulbs not working. Beautiful furniture outside, no cover for when there is mist or rain, so couldn’t sit in it as wet and green. BBQ in very poor condition, the property is tired and needs a revamp. When you are asking high prices, which we were happy to pay then the standard also needs to be high and it wasn’t, in its current condition we would not recommend this property

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear that you had a few issues during your stay. We would always like the opportunity to rectify any points so please contact one of the local team on 01736 630015 and we will be able to assist straight away. • "Lovely house with a stunning view of the bay."

Could see seals swimming. Carbis beach is lovely. Endulged in an afternoon of cocktails in Walter's, though at £17 a pop was more expensive than central London. Shame there wasnt a pub nearer the house, the Cornish Arns was nice, but a tidy walk. Had a great week even though only had a couple of days of sunshine.

Facilities great (kitchen well stocked with utensils, 2 fridges, games room including pool table).Well maintained gardens to front (gardener had just finished trimming shrubs on our arrival). Terrace with plenty garden furniture. Accurate descriptions. We loved the easy access to coastal pathways, the beautiful golden sandy beaches within close reach, the very scenic train ride to/from St Ives. Neighbourhood quiet. • "We had a fantastic time here!"

The house is lovely, spacious and comfortable with the most beautiful view possible. There is a coastal path at the side of the house to the beach and I in particular, enjoyed the walks along the hilltops and and the peacefulness of Porthkidney beach. Being a coastal path, this route is quite steep and narrow but there are other beaches close by in Carbis and in St Ives which are more accessible and lovely too, Great links by rail from Carbis Bay train station into St Ives running around every half an hour with a picturesque view of the bay. The station is a short walk 15 minute away from the house, tickets are inexpensive and the train journey takes just 3 minutes. I would have loved to have had more time to explore the whole bay and would love to go back!

  • "Great house, very clean and views wonderful."

Kitchen well equipped. We had problems with the heating as the timer seemed to be set to the wrong times and dates (I know we could have rung you but it was all a bit hectic so we turned radiators on and off). Also it would be great to have recyling facilities or at least a note in the Welcome file to say where we could take it. We ended it carrying it home with us! We never did figure out what the short walk to the beach was! Was it down the road or path to Carbis Bay. We did discover the path down to Porthkidney Beach across the level crossing - good when tide was out thought bit of a scramble. Maybe put a note or two on how to walk to beach in file. But we all had a brill time. Thank you!

It's a lovely house with big, beautifully decorated rooms and an amazing view over the beach. We love that it has 4 double bedrooms rather than a mixture of double, twin and bunk beds. It's so hard to find a property like this!! It's a 5 min walk to train station to get to St Ives and short walk to the beach. Just love it. Will be back.

  • "Whitsunday House is a fantastic property with amazing views over Carbis Bay and we had a fabulous weekend."

The 2 minor issues that I would like to report are both within the family bathroom and I have listed these below. These issues did not affect our stay at all and I just want to make the owners aware for future residents staying at the property. 1. Despite turning down the shower temperature control to its lowest setting, the shower was extremely hot to the point where I had to use one of the alternate showers. My wife used it ok, but it was too hot for me. 2. The basin plug does not push down and my assumption is that the plunger control assembly is defective.

Dear Mr Bailey, Thank you for submitting your feedback. The views from Whitsunday House are quite something, with the opportunity to sit on the balcony to take it all in; its an ideal location. We are pleased to confirm that both items you reported have been sorted by the plumber; the shower was taken out and re-calibrated and the pop up plug has been replaced. We hope to be able to invite you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Owner Relations, Carbis Bay Holidays. Property Owner

  • "Perfect base."

Kitchen just needs sorting a little with utensils etc, too many of some things and not enough of others. This could just be end of long season. Only had one tea towel for instance, so bought some and left one. Maybe some leaflets on local attractions would be helpful. However, all in all would stay again.

Dear Ms Stevenson, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback on your recent stay at Whitsunday House. We will pass on the points you have raised to the housekeeper, they will take a look at the utensils and we can replenish accordingly.
