  • "A really lovely place to escape from it all with everything you need at the cottage in a beautiful setting."

Coverack is a lovely harbour village with a fabulous beach which the dog and I really enjoyed. I highly recommend dinner at the Lifeboat House and the Bay Hotel - all really friendly service and fabulous food - everyone is super dog friendly. Some great local walks as well as good access to the stunning Lizard coastline and beaches - all in all highly recommended x

  • "Beautiful cottage, comfy bed and couch, amazing bath and little window seats everywhere (my favourite places to sit) It is a little dark and unfortunately only one bulb was working in the palm tree lamp and couldn't see any replacements."

It did get a little chilly on a couple of nights when it would have been lovely to snuggle up with the fire going, alas, no logs. The peaceful garden was lovely with the added bonus of a little summer shed with views of the sea (great reading spot) Access to the nearby beach was a bit dodgy with steep steps down to another hurdle of slippery rocks before reaching the sand. My eyesight isn't great so we ended up driving further afield, which is what we wanted to avoid (2 wet, sandy dogs in the car isn't on my wish list) We did have a lovely time though.

  • "Received several flea bites while staying at the property, this slightly ruined the Experiance"

We dispute that the bites are due to fleas especially as there have been reports in the media that there has been a huge increase in biting insects due to the hot weather. As owners we undertake the clean on each changeover personally so we think the bites are due to midges from the sea. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved the Cottage and location."

Great views over Coverack harbour, close to pub and well stocked friendly community shop. Just a very minor issue that it would have been nice to get firewood for the first night since the village shop was closed by the time we arrived, (maybe I missed something and should have requested it in advanced?). Otherwise it was perfect. :)

Helston 12 miles.

On the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula, the pretty village of St Keverne, lying just 1.25 miles inland, is the focal point for this area, with its village pubs and shops surrounding the village square, and an impressive church spire, at one time used to guide the Cornish fishermen home. From St Keverne, you can easily explore the natural and spectacular beauty of the Lizard Peninsula by car, bicycle or on foot. You will find walled fishing harbours, tiny secret coves, sandy bays and dramatic clifftop walks along the South West Coastal path. Just north is the Helford River, a yachtsman's dream and home to Frenchman's Creek, and picturesque Helford village. A short walk takes you to Roskilly’s Farm, where you can tuck in to ice cream to die for. Further afield, visit Falmouth, with one of the world's largest natural harbours, Pendennis Castle built by Henry VIII, and of course you cannot miss out on a trip to The National Maritime Museum.
