  • "We hadn't been to Cornwall for about 17yrs so our kids (now 21 and 18) had no memory of it."

We had also never really explored the North of Cornwall and this time around wanted somewhere close to Tintagel. We chose Lilyvale for this reason and we were not disappointed. We book holiday cottages often, this was easily the cleanest, we have ever stayed in. It was furnished well and decorated in keeping with the area, everything was provided in terms of essentials and the owners were more than accommodating had we needed anything else. It was also well placed for exploring the whole of Cornwall, we had a lovely 2 week stay, visiting planned places such as Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow. We ventured further afield to St Ives and Lands End which was around 1.5 hours away. We were surprised at how close we were to the famous Jamaica Inn which was a bonus (food also lovely) and the nearest beach at Crackington Haven was spectacular. Kids also loved Cornwall life enjoying surf lessons at Newquay which was under an hour away. Needless to say we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful holiday and lots of happy memories

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are so pleased you had a great holiday and enjoyed Lilyvale. As new owners your feedback has been greatly appreciated. We look forward to hosting you again at Lilyvale in the future Property Owner

  • "When I entered the property, couldn't believe how cold it was, No washing up liquid, no kitchen cleaner No mop, No, Change of bedding for 2, week stay."

Constant noise from the property next door.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to read your comments. It’s unfortunate that you did not make us aware of these issues during your stay as we would have been more than happy to have provided you with additional bedding etc. We have a lovely local cleaner who would have been available to meet these requirements. We will take your comments on board for future visits. Thanks Property Owner

Perfectly located for touring Cornwall, Lilyvale is a homely, detached holiday home set alongside the upper reaches of the River Inny, in a picturesque valley on the Inny Vale Holiday Village near Camelford.

The front door of the property opens into a porch with a slate floor, which in turn leads into an open-plan living area offering comfortable sitting and dining areas, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen.

There are two well-furnished bedrooms, a double and a twin, both serviced by a sleek family bathroom.

While outside there is a south-facing patio with a brick-built barbecue.

This wonderful space catches the sun all day and is the perfect spot for alfresco dining, while just 100 yards away is a tennis court, free to residents.

Lilyvale is set in the quaint village of Davidstow and lies, conveniently, a short drive from Camelford which houses local stores to help ease your self-catered stay and pubs including The Knights of The Round Table and Masons Arms which both serve delicious food, perfect for the nights when you don’t fancy cooking!

Head over to Boscastle, a charming fishing port, for a full day out, explore the Site of Bottreaux Castle before strolling along the harbour where you can admire breath-taking views out to sea; there is also the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic for guests looking for something unique.

Alternatively spend sunny days in the town of Tintagel and explore the historic links to King Arthur that are laced throughout by visiting Tintagel Castle, the supposed birthplace of King Arthur, The Great Hall and Merlin’s Cave.

Just below the cave you can find Tintagel Haven, a true hidden gem where you can marvel at unbeatable views across the azure, or amble through the cliff top to just breathe in the sea air.
