  • "Beautiful property and location Sadly let down by the cleanliness of the whole ..."

Beautiful property and location Sadly let down by the cleanliness of the whole property , lots of dust everywhere , specially on the banisters , drawers , wardrobes Bathroom floors , fridge , cooker all needing deep clean Don’t expect to pay for 5* property to have to clean yourself before unpacking food and clothes Reported to sykes who dealt with issues but let down by owners response to take ownership of cleanliness

This was reported to us on your Saturday arrival, and we immediately contacted the owner of the housekeeping business. We took ownership by asking the owner to personally visit the property within 2 hours and Hannah and team got to work on each of the pictures that had been shared, which were wiping over the fridge, freezer, cutlery drawers and banisters. The oven was clean, though it did have a few marks inside the glass, which were not accessible. The carpets were clean though the picture illustrated a stain from previous guests. Every aspect reported on your arrival was checked and cleaned thoroughly. It's not practical or achievable to industrial clean ovens and carpets on a weekly basis, though we can confirm all the carpets and oven have now had an industrial clean, the glass inside is now spotless so that we work back towards our 100/100 scoring. Thank you for your feedback, we are so pleased that you found the property and location beautiful. We hope that you managed to enjoy your stay. Property Owner

  • "A superb well appointed property with everything needed for a relaxing family holiday."

Views are awesome, especially the sunsets. Crantock beach is idyllic. Only issues were (1) hot tub needed chemicals added, after a few days of 9 people using the tub, water became murky. One guest has subsequently ended up with a skin infection requiring antibiotics since returning home, GP suspects hot tub related; (2) tumble dryer was not working but housekeeping did their best to help with extra towels an clothes airer.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback, it's greatly appreciated. Our hot tub specialist is fully trained and certified. The hot tub is drained, cleaned, refilled and chemicals applied and topped up before and during stays. Though before entry to the hot tub guests must shower. If sun cream, sand, dirt, fake tan, makeup, as examples are applied to the body, over a number of days it will impact the water quality. Please follow the guidelines outlined by the hot tub to ensure water cleanliness. The dryer at the property is a brand new Miele £1200 unit and unfortunately the drive belt went within the first 3 months, which was very unfortunate that it happened during your stay. The replacement part was ordered and is being installed 21/06/23 so will soon be up and running. Thank you once again for your feedback and choosing to stay at the property. We are pleased you had a good stay at this superb property and that you enjoyed the setting, views and the special sunsets. We hope to see you again in the future. Best wishes, Louise & Anthony.
