  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Indigo - mainly for its proximity to St Ives and the most spectacular view from the balcony."

Have marked it down on cleanliness and comfort due to the following issues: Balcony tables are very rusty and need replacing. The balcony chairs are uncomfortable basic plastic chairs with only two seat pads provided for four chairs. The sink plug mechanism in the en-suite bathroom is not working properly so the sink does not retain water. There was a stain on the mattress cover of one of the beds in the twin bedroom. If these things were addressed, it would be perfect.

Thank you for taking the time to leave Feedback following your recent holiday at Indigo and we are pleased to hear your loved your stay and that you enjoyed the excellent sea views from the balcony at the apartment. Thank you also for advising us of the chairs, sink plug and mattress cover, we have passed these on to the relevant members of our team for their attention. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards the Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely time at this property, the balcony and view were was fantastic but the table and chairs need updating they looked old and worn."

We couldn’t use the bar stools as no were for your knees. The bed was to low to the floor and needed a much thicker mattress as to me this to one-off the most important parts of your Holliday, the on-site bathroom isa little to small couldn’t bend down in the shower unit , main barroom great plenty room but do think both shower units need grip handles. For us the couch was also too low as we are the older generation , these are only little things that can be fixed overall it was lovely in a good position and parking was perfect with no steps to the front door. You do though have to be able to walk up very steep paths and steps to go into town or beach we just managed it and we are in our 70s.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased to hear that you loved the property and your stay at Indigo. We appreciate your constructive comments which we have passed on to the relevant departments to look into, but we apologise that you found lots of areas not suitable. Thank you again for your comments, which have been fed back to the necessary departments. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. • "Very nice property in good location."

As mentioned by others the 9am check out and 4pm check in effectively means 6 days not 7 and even with Covid is excessive as the cleaners appeared at 9am on the dot so wouldn’t be cleaning till 5.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. We are glad you liked the property and location. Our check out times are currently under review. Kind Regards The Carbis Bay Holidays team Property Owner

  • "Our second stay in Indigo and we love it."

Our main gripe is check out at 9am when you don’t let in until 5!! And you don’t allow the use of the Car parking space after 9 either!! I know it’s a pandemic but think 9am too early to check out and you should at least let your guests leave their car until day 11am do they can go for breakfast before the long journey home. I did text the number in the book to request the use of the carpark too but I didn’t get a reply. Thanks

Dear Alexis, Thank you for your Feedback following your stay at Indigo and I am so pleased to hear you love the property, it is a lovely property in a great location. I’m sorry to hear you are not happy with our arrival and departure times, these are currently being re-evaluated and we hope to be able to amend in the near future. I’m afraid it is not possible for guests to use the parking space early or late on a changeover day as it is needed by the cleaning and maintenance teams. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Indigo is a lovely spacious and perfectly located apartment for St Ives with a lovely balcony, view & parking."

We had a lovely 2 week stay and would love to return, but sadly the extortionate price increase of nearly 50% (an increase of almost £1000 for the same two weeks in 2022) has put us off returning. We have stayed with Carbis Bay Holidays for many years and have always found the prices to be reasonable and expect an increase in line with inflation each year, but this latest huge increase is extremely disappointing to see. Looking at other reviews for other properties it seems we are not the only people to think this. We also missed our cream tea on arrival that we were expecting from previous years. It’s a shame that’s gone too. A lovely property but price increase for 2022 unjustifiable.

Dear Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback, it helps us and the owners going forward and we always take all points into consideration. We are glad that you had a lovely stay. Sorry to hear to hear you have been put off by the pricing. Please be assured that the pricing is regularly reviewed by the owners and ourselves. Please don't hesitate to take a look at the prices in the future as they can change at anytime. In regard to the Cream Tea, we had to change this as keeping our guests safe during the pandemic is paramount and we hope to have a replacement when we get back to a safe level. We sincerely hope you enjoyed your stay, Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "“We would like to thank all involved on our week away."

The apartment was absolutely spotless. We were really impressed with the standard of cleanliness. It was well equipped and an ideal base for our favourite beach- Porthminster. The Housekeeper gave us a very warm and helpful welcome and we have found all staff very friendly and efficient. Our daughter said that she wanted to live there! The only thing we can complain about is that the week went too quickly! Thank you for a lovely holiday.” C.Pallett

  • ""We loved the apartment and St Ives, there is a nice public leisure centre with childrens pool and gym just up the hill 5 minutes from Gallinas Point."

We used this most days, good for the kids if weather is bad and for a nice swim / gym. We also liked the seals in the harbour almost every afternoon. We liked the fact that we could eat in some nice restaurants but that they also had a childrens menu. St Andrews Bistro was a favourite, very nice food for grown ups and atmnosphere but also very welcoming for children. Paradise Park was great, nice day out for the family, with indoor play. Only 10 minutes drive. We loved everything and will definitely return." A. Devey

High standard, uncomlicated administration, real like description and pictures on website, tidy and clean. We felt like home. Weather was very good and we had a wonderful week. We made some trips around and tried several locations for eating. Best we had at "Nare-Hotel", Veryan. We can only say it was a lovely week for holiday, only too short." V. & U. Trier

It was spotless and the views were to die for I didn't want to come home, I could have stayed there for the rest of my life. St Ives never disappoints, we had my husband birthday meal at Pizza Express and then a drink at The Sloop In just more or less next door to Pizza Express." M. Shorthouse

The location is excellent for St Ives and for Porthminster Beach. We would book this apartment again and would be happy to recommend it to others.
