  • "Lovely cottage, great location so peaceful."

Very well equipped, few items missing eg,only 3 wine glasses! would have liked internet access. Owner very friendly and helpful. Would certainly book again!

  • "Linda (Mrs."

Clarkson) the owner was very informative on the phone. She was very helpful in telling us places to eat and visit. And she seemed very easy to talk to. We did visit the end of September so no doubt the house has had a lot of visitors so hopefully will get a little spuce up with some paint. But this would definitely not put us off stopping there again.

  • "Very comfortable house, peacefully located and in a great situation to explore the area."

However, there were a few 'niggles'. The cottage was not as clean as had been expected. Mirrors and windows were smeary and dirty and upstairs definitely needed redecorating all round, very tired. There are things that need to be looked at for a more satisfactory stay: you cannot read by any of the bedside lights, they are all far too dim; the pillows need upgrading; at least one, if not two, of the bedrooms could benefit from somewhere to be able to sit and do makeup/hair as there is not enough room or light in either bathroom; if, like this party, you have someone who is not steady on their feet, there should be a shower safety mat, we had to buy one. As said, just 'niggles'. The owners had furnished us with lots of interesting information on places to go in the area which was most helpful. However, it would be nice to have some instructions in the cottage on things like how the heating/hot water works, rules for recycling (very different from our home area) etc.

  • "The house is in a perfect location, secluded but not remote."

Spacious accommodation newly refurbished, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Every care has been given to ensure a really pleasant stay and its 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms make it an ideal family retreat. Situated not too far from the coastal path and close by car to Marazion, Praa Sands and Helston. We had a great holiday and can’t wait to return next September.

  • "Nice property in a good location."

Unfortunately, a window had been left open before our arrival and it had been raining, had to contact owner and someone came out to change bedding as it had got a little damp! Owner did respond promptly. There was a lot of dust on skirting boards behind beds and huge cobwebs above curtain pole in bedroom. One of the kitchen cupboards was thick with dust. A couple of chipped mugs and cracked glass in cupboard could do with replacing. There is no blind in the upstairs bathroom which needs to be addressed. With the current situation with Covid-19, the cleanliness of the property should have been much better, it was as though only the most visable parts had been cleaned.

  • "We had an 80 year old with us who was unhappy about the stairs."

A couple of grab rails on the top and bottom of the stair case would have been very helpful for her.

Since this visit there has been a new staircase and upstairs bathroom added to the property Property Owner

  • "Hi there, while on holiday the owner contacted me on several occasions to offer ideas on where to go and what to see."

She also supplied extremely good advice on local events in my hometown of Hayle, which helped me make contact with all my old friends. Absolutely brilliant.

  • "Great bolt hole for exploring this beautiful area of Cornwall."

House a little dated and could do with some tlc. Kitchen well equipped. Owner helpful and good communication. Had a lovely meal in the Packet on our last night - walking distance but does involve walking along a busy and poorly lit road in parts.

  • "The lower end price accurately reflected the location and accommodation."

This is perfectly acceptable accommodation for a family visiting the area but dated decor and basic facilities mean you wouldn't want to spend all week indoors.

  • "The Bathroom could do with updating, seal required around shower door."

The garden could be beautiful but needs a bit of TLC. Otherwise the cottage is extremely well equipped and very comfortable.

  • "We had a great time in this property."

It is equipped with a lot of stuff and goes beyond the usual holiday facilities (loads of DVDs, nice cutlery and crockery, garden chairs with cushions, great TV etc). It is a lovely, quiet place close to beaches and other attractions (like St. Michael's Mount). Shops are very close as well. All round a great place to be.
